"Snap!"
In just a few seconds, that tiny bit of angel power suddenly jumped out of Amarella's hand.
"They're incompatible." Amarella shook her head.
"How could my angel power possibly be absorbed by another angel?" the Grand Priestess said with a snort, glaring at her. "Amarella, you've changed!"
"You're the one who's changed!" Amarella shot back. "Are you even the Grand Priestess I used to know?"
The Grand Priestess fell silent.
"I don't know what happened to you, but the Grand Priestess I knew would never do something this absurd," Amarella said grimly.
The Grand Priestess merely huffed and ignored her.
After another brief silence, she turned to Ken, her voice carrying both pleading and threat. "Ken, let me go already! I'll pretend none of this ever happened! Otherwise, once I recover all my strength, you'll regret it!"
"Oh? Really?" Ken asked, instantly interested, smiling at her.
"I'm telling you the truth. At my peak, I was level 97!" The Grand Priestess looked at him with endless resentment. "Even if I can't raise my level by absorbing your angel power, as long as you give me enough time, I can still recover to my peak!"
"So you can get back to your peak without my angel power?" Ken asked, amused. "Then why go through all that trouble? Why insist on sacrificing me?"
"If I rely on my own training, it'll take at least ten thousand years to return to my peak," the Grand Priestess replied. "Absorbing your angel power would've let me take a shortcut."
"So if I leave you alone, it'll take you over ten thousand years to get back to level 97?" Ken said, finally understanding.
"For angels, ten thousand years is nothing," the Grand Priestess replied with a snort.
"For me, I might already be level 100 by then." Ken grinned.
The Grand Priestess went quiet.
What a shameless braggart. She couldn't even keep up with his nonsense anymore.
"Then let me go if you dare, and we'll fight again in ten thousand years!" she snapped through gritted teeth.
"Let you go? My, my, you really do know how to dream." Ken laughed.
The Grand Priestess said nothing.
"They can't be absorbed?" Ken muttered. "Give me a little of your angel power when you have time. I'll study it later and see if two different kinds of angel power can be fused."
"I don't think that's very likely," Amarella said, but she still pulled out a tiny bit of angel power from herself and handed it to him.
Ken stored the two clumps of angel power inside his body for the time being.
"You want our angel power to fuse? Stop dreaming. They have completely different properties. How could they possibly merge?" the Grand Priestess said with a cold snort, clearly not believing a word he said. "Let me go! We'll have a proper fight again in ten thousand years!"
"I can give you a chance. Behave yourself, and I might let you go." As Ken spoke, he lifted a hand, and a fresh set of clothes appeared in his palm.
The Grand Priestess froze. She stared at the neatly folded outfit in his hand, and urgency flashed through her eyes.
Hurry up and put it on me.
What am I even supposed to look like right now?
I'm the greatest goddess in the entire universe, and here I am dressed like this in some mortal's house.
And on top of that, I'm tied up by this bastard Ken.
This is beyond disgraceful.
At least clothes would make it a little less humiliating.
Because she'd been restrained just now, the Grand Priestess hadn't been able to use angel power to create clothes for herself.
Bulma gave the outfit in Ken's hand a strange look. She had a strong feeling he was definitely up to no good.
The Grand Priestess was probably about to have a bad time.
Really, who told her to provoke Ken of all people?
Didn't she know how petty he could be?
Vegeta offended him when they were kids, and Ken still found excuses to go mess with him every now and then.
Amarella was just as curious as she stared at the clothes in Ken's hand.
He really should hurry up and put something on the Grand Priestess.
At least he'd finally realized this situation looked wrong.
Sure, Amarella also thought the Grand Priestess had gone way too far.
But with her lying there in nothing but underwear, the whole thing looked completely improper.
It was a total insult to the image of the world's greatest goddess.
Besides, didn't Ken like Vados and the others?
If Vados saw her own mother in such a humiliating state, who knew what she'd think?
The clothes in Ken's hand were folded perfectly neatly, resting flat on his palm.
Because of that, none of them could tell what kind of outfit it was.
"All right, I'll grant your wish." Ken nodded. "Honestly, I can barely stand looking at you like this."
The Grand Priestess ground her teeth so hard they almost cracked.
Barely stand looking at her?
He'd been staring the whole time.
Ken tossed the clothes at her.
Snap!
In an instant, the brand-new outfit fitted itself onto the Grand Priestess.
Bulma burst out laughing the moment she saw it.
Amarella pressed a hand to her forehead and silently wiped away sweat.
A maid outfit?
He actually put the Grand Priestess in a maid outfit.
That was way too much.
"A maid?" The Grand Priestess looked down at her new clothes, and her anger exploded on the spot. Her chest rose and fell violently, and her face flushed bright red. "I am the greatest goddess in the entire universe! My divine rank is even higher than the Grand Priest's! And you put me in a maid outfit? What do you think I am? Forget my status as a goddess. I'm also a princess of Planet Sadala! And you want a princess to wear something like this? Ken! Change these clothes right now!"
"Then make your choice. Either wear nothing, or wear that," Ken snapped. "And you're still being picky? You should be grateful I gave you anything to wear at all. Believe it or not, I can strip those clothes right back off and dump you in Zeno-sama's Palace."
"D-don't... don't do anything crazy..." The Grand Priestess caved instantly. "I'll wear it."
Ken snapped his fingers again and loosened the restraints on her a little, though he still kept some of them in place.
The Grand Priestess slowly rose from the floor and stretched her body, only to realize in shock that her angel power seemed to be under control.
Or rather, even her level had been suppressed by Ken's angel power.
She checked her current level.
The level 60 she used to have had already been forced down to 40 by Ken.
The Grand Priestess hated Ken to death, but there was nothing she could do about it.
For now, she'd just have to take things one step at a time.
She needed to find a way to escape.
As long as she could get out of here, she'd definitely make him pay.
What she still couldn't understand was this: why had the angel power she'd given Ken become completely detached from her control after he cultivated it?
That was beyond anything she'd imagined.
Amarella turned into a streak of light and slipped back into Ken's body.
"What are you planning to do with her?" Amarella asked from inside him.
"Didn't I already make her my maid?" Ken said with a smile.
Amarella had no response.
Was he really planning to punish her like this?
"But speaking of which, something this huge happened today. Will the Grand Priest know?" Ken asked.
"No idea." Amarella shook her head. "Probably not. If he knew, he would've come here immediately instead of letting the Grand Priestess do whatever she wanted."
"I see." Ken nodded thoughtfully.
"Besides, ever since the Grand Priestess disappeared, the Grand Priest has been searching everywhere for her," Amarella said with a sigh. "I just never expected her to come back like this."
"She didn't come back like this. She laid the groundwork on me over thirty years ago," Ken said darkly.
"So that means the Grand Priestess went to Planet Vegeta when you were just born, but she'd already been reborn by then..." Amarella analyzed.
"So that means you're already over forty in this life as a princess?" Ken said in surprise.
"No. Didn't she say it herself? It took her a hundred years just to recover part of her strength." Amarella lowered her voice. "So she should be around a hundred."
"A hundred-year-old Saiyan who still looks this young definitely used angel power to restore her youth," Ken said.
"Definitely," Amarella agreed.
"Next, we need to send Temat and the others back to their own timeline as soon as possible." Ken let out a long sigh.
"Yeah," Amarella replied. "But how? It'd be best to have a Supreme Kai do it. If you travel through time casually, the Space-Time God of Destruction might notice."
"Speaking of the Space-Time God of Destruction..." Ken sank into thought. "Now that I think about it, when I met him back then, maybe he already knew I was an avatar split off from the Grand Priestess."
"That actually makes a lot of sense." Amarella nodded firmly. Otherwise, the Space-Time God of Destruction would've had no reason to meet an angel whose level wasn't even that high at the time.
After all, Ken's level hadn't been that high back then.
Sure, the Grand Priest had said he was the one who sent Ken over.
But when Ken thought back carefully, the look in the Space-Time God of Destruction's eyes had always felt a little strange.
"So the reason our timeline ended up on the Space-Time God of Destruction's radar... was because of the Grand Priestess?" Ken frowned.
"Maybe. She did create six extra branches in our timeline, after all." Amarella sighed. The more she thought about it, the more outrageous the Grand Priestess's actions seemed.
"Just thinking about it makes me mad," Ken said.
Snap!
He placed a hand on the Grand Priestess's shoulder.
Thud.
Her knees gave out, and the Grand Priestess dropped straight to her knees in front of him.
