"You..." The Grand Priestess gnashed her teeth in hatred.
He had actually forced her to kneel in front of him.
She would never forgive him for this.
Ken was genuinely furious.
He had finally crossed over into the Dragon Ball world he loved, and through his own hard work, he had completed his transformation into a true angel in just thirty years.
He had thought he could finally take it easy.
Instead, because of her, the Space-Time God of Destruction had been drawn here.
Even after becoming an angel, he still had to keep training harder.
Otherwise, Vados and the others might already have become his wives by now.
And she would've been his mother-in-law.
Just look at the mess she'd made of time.
"As an angel, you need a peaceful heart." Ken patted his chest. "I've decided not to stay angry after all. But you did something wrong, and that means punishment. So stay here and kneel properly."
"You... you really think I won't destroy this planet right now?" the Grand Priestess threatened through clenched teeth, glaring at him.
"Go ahead and try. Don't forget, I can use Time Rewind." Ken smiled. "And once I do, think carefully about what kind of torment will be waiting for you afterward."
The Grand Priestess's expression changed again and again, and she didn't dare threaten him anymore.
She really had been on the verge of destroying the planet in a fit of rage.
But after hearing that, she gave up.
Even if she destroyed the whole planet, even if she killed the mortal woman he liked, he could just restore everything with Time Rewind.
And when that happened, who knew what kind of methods this bastard would use on her?
"Be a good maid. If you behave, I'll let you go." Ken stood in front of her with a smile, looking down at her from above.
Of course, that was just a little hope he was dangling in front of her.
Ken had no intention of actually letting her go.
She wanted him to sacrifice himself to her?
She really did have some nerve.
As for why the Grand Priestess couldn't absorb his angel power, Ken had already more or less figured it out the moment she brought up sacrifice.
Back when he first began cultivating angel power, he'd noticed that it felt like a kind of inheritance.
Just to be safe, once he reached level 60, he immediately started changing the quality of that angel power.
Little by little, he altered its very nature, completely erasing the old inheritance and replacing it with traits unique to himself.
Then, after he reached level 70, he refined those changes even further.
On top of that, he'd also awakened the Super Angel transformation.
The angel power the Grand Priestess had stored in his body long ago had already changed beyond recognition.
Of course she couldn't absorb it anymore.
There was another major reason too: Ken had come from another world.
Dragon Ball's anime and manga had grown up with him.
There had even been an official set of Dragon Ball manga on the bookshelf in his previous life.
And besides that, there had been several Goku and Vegeta figures in that same bookcase.
The moment Ken's soul crossed over into this world, everything had already changed.
Or to put it another way, the instant Ken arrived here, the Grand Priestess's plan had already been disrupted, and her scheme had already failed.
"My legs are a little sore. Guess I haven't moved around much in a while." Ken let out a sigh.
"I'll massage them for you." Bulma immediately understood what he meant and flashed him a sly smile.
"All right. Thanks for the trouble." Ken sat down.
Bulma quickly walked over and took the chance to run her hands all over his legs several times.
Ken fell silent.
That wasn't a massage at all.
Watching from the side, the Grand Priestess's chest started heaving with anger again.
He was an angel.
His entire body was condensed from angel power.
How could his legs possibly feel sore?
She knew exactly what he was doing.
He was deliberately using that mortal woman to demonstrate it for her, just so she'd do the same next.
This bastard was determined to drive her mad.
"Your turn." Looking slightly uncomfortable after Bulma's "massage," Ken pointed at the Grand Priestess.
Then Ken suddenly found himself thinking about Bulma.
Had he been a little unfair to her?
After all, Bulma was already in her forties.
Among mortals, it would be hard for a woman that age to find someone to marry.
Fortunately, Ken had already used angel power to restore Bulma's youth.
Now she looked like she was just in her early twenties.
The Grand Priestess grit her teeth and stepped forward obediently to massage Ken's legs.
For the sake of rising again later, she decided to endure it.
Fine.
She'd serve him for now.
If she could absorb Temat and the others' energy, she'd at least reach level 70-something.
Once her level surpassed this bastard's, she'd make him suffer.
Even if Temat and the others hadn't reached their peak yet, absorbing all six of them would definitely raise her by ten levels.
Fine.
First she'd lull him into dropping his guard, then find a chance to return to Temat's side and absorb them one by one.
With that in mind, the Grand Priestess put extra effort into the massage and acted exceptionally obedient.
"When are you planning to send Temat and the others back?" Amarella asked.
"If I send them back, the Grand Priestess will probably go absorb their energy, won't she?" Ken mused.
"So what are you going to do?" Amarella felt he had a point.
With the Grand Priestess's abilities, finding their timeline wouldn't be difficult at all.
"Amarella, if the Grand Priestess absorbs the energy of all six of them, what level do you think she'll reach?" Ken asked.
"Based on my estimate, at least level 70," Amarella said after a moment of thought. "That's assuming every one of them is as strong as Vegeta said Temat was."
Ken nodded thoughtfully.
Absorbing the energy of six fighters around Temat's level should be enough to raise the Grand Priestess to level 70.
Even if Temat and the others were only around level 30 at most, the Grand Priestess probably had some special method of converting that into her own power.
"Let's go take a look at them first," Ken said after thinking it over.
"That works," Amarella replied, not objecting.
But just as Ken was about to leave, he suddenly sensed an angel racing this way.
He looked up and saw a brilliant light flashing across the sky like a star.
"Hey, Grand Priestess. Vados is here." Ken reached over and rubbed the Grand Priestess's head hard, like he was petting a cat.
She had been just about to get angry, but the moment she heard that, her expression changed completely.
Absolutely not.
Vados could not be allowed to see her in this miserable state.
"If you dare expose my identity, I won't let you get away with it," the Grand Priestess said through clenched teeth, glaring at him.
"As if keeping your identity secret would make you let me go." Ken smiled.
The Grand Priestess had no answer to that.
Vados descended in a streak of light and landed beside Ken.
"My, my, Ken. You're really enjoying yourself," Vados said after landing, immediately spotting the beautiful maid massaging his legs.
"Vados, what brings you here?" Ken asked with a smile.
"I suddenly felt like eating Bulma's food," Vados said with a grin. "So I made a special trip."
"Got tired of the food at that seven-star hotel?" Ken asked with a laugh.
"Yes, yes. I got bored of it, so I felt like changing things up once in a while." Vados nodded, not paying any more attention to the Grand Priestess.
In Vados's eyes, she was just an ordinary mortal.
The Grand Priestess also behaved herself. The moment Vados arrived, she hid every trace of her angel power, afraid of being recognized.
"All right, I'll get something ready for you." Bulma didn't object. She summoned her robot chef and had it start preparing food, then stretched lazily. "You two enjoy yourselves. I'm going back to my research. This god business has nothing to do with a mortal like me. Honestly, why does a weak little girl like me have to get dragged into this kind of conflict?"
With that, Bulma turned and left.
Vados blinked, not quite understanding what Bulma meant by "conflict."
But she wasn't the sort of angel who stuck her nose into everything. She guessed it probably had something to do with Ken's wager with Merus, so she didn't think much of it.
After Bulma left, Vados focused on Ken again, then gave the Grand Priestess a closer look.
"And this is...?" Vados said. The maid really was astonishingly well-behaved.
"Your mother," Ken replied.
The Grand Priestess immediately shot him a bitter look and glared up at him.
Hadn't they agreed he wouldn't reveal her identity?
He really was shameless.
What was her daughter supposed to think now?
"Ken... it's not nice to insult people." Vados pressed a hand to her forehead, speechless. "I didn't do anything to you, did I?"
"Nope." Ken shook his head.
"Are you in a bad mood because your angel power hasn't increased at all this past year?" Vados asked like a patient older sister. "I've told you before, haven't I? Angels need calm hearts... Once your level reaches a certain height, getting stronger becomes very difficult."
"Mm-hm. You're absolutely right." Ken nodded.
Vados fell silent.
Still, her attention moved completely away from the Grand Priestess.
The question had been casual to begin with.
It never even crossed Vados's mind that the woman kneeling there and massaging Ken's legs was actually her mother.
