"Gohan-nii, something's wrong with that guy," Kale said with a frown.
"What do you mean?" Gohan turned to look at her.
Before he could say anything else, Spopovich got back up.
Videl's expression changed.
Spopovich only grinned, his face twisting into something ugly.
"How is he still standing?" Gohan said, shocked.
"Something's definitely wrong," Kale said, her face turning serious.
"Gohan, Kale, you should tell your classmate to give up," Goku said.
"Yeah," Krillin said. "Yamu was the same. No matter how hard I hit him, he kept getting back up."
Spopovich grinned and slapped Videl hard across the face.
The blow knocked her sideways and sent her crashing to the floor.
Videl was tough. She sprang back up right away, but the moment she got to her feet, Spopovich was already in front of her.
Bang!
Spopovich opened his mouth in another ugly grin and kicked her hard.
Videl cried out as she flew toward the edge of the ring.
"She's out!"
The crowd gasped.
Videl realized she was about to fall out and quickly used her flight technique, stopping herself in midair.
The audience stared in disbelief.
Whoosh!
Videl flew back into the ring.
"Unbelievable! Videl can fly!" the referee shouted, looking up at her with the microphone in hand. "She did not touch the ground outside the ring!"
Videl landed in front of Spopovich again, breathing even harder than before.
"Nice! Kale and I taught Videl how to fly," Gohan said with a smile.
"Honestly, it might have been better if she had fallen out just now," Goku said quietly.
"Yeah, I agree," Krillin said with a nod.
"Krillin's right," Kale said. "Videl should give up as soon as possible."
"Who is that guy?" Gohan asked, frowning.
"I don't know," Goku said, shaking his head.
Videl and Spopovich's fight continued.
Videl shouted and rushed at Spopovich, slamming a kick into his head.
Bang!
The kick was so hard that Spopovich's head twisted all the way around.
Videl landed, panting, then froze when she saw what had happened.
"Spopovich's neck is broken!" the referee shouted in horror.
"She killed him!"
The crowd stared in shock.
But the real horror came next.
Spopovich grabbed his own head with both hands and twisted it back into place.
"Unbelievable! His neck is back to normal!" the referee shouted.
Videl's face went pale.
"Hehehe…" Spopovich grinned, looking even more terrifying.
"How…?" Videl stared at him.
Bang!
Spopovich showed no mercy. He punched Videl straight in the face.
Videl fell backward onto the floor, blood spilling from her nose.
"Goku was right. She needs to quit now," Krillin said again. "That guy is not normal. I could feel how tough his partner was when I fought him."
Spopovich charged at Videl again.
Videl flew into the air to dodge him and tried to catch her breath.
Then something happened that surprised even Goku and the others.
Spopovich lifted off the ground and appeared right in front of Videl.
"N-No way!" Videl's face changed.
"What is going on? Spopovich can fly too!" the referee cried.
"Whoa… Is flying the trend now?" the spectators shouted, eyes wide.
Spopovich flew higher and positioned himself above Videl.
Then he spread his fingers and aimed down at her.
Videl stared at him in confusion.
What is he doing?
"Hah!"
Spopovich fired an energy blast from his hand.
An invisible force slammed into Videl before she could react, sending her falling from the sky.
Just before she hit the ground, Videl twisted her body and landed on her feet.
Pain shot through her legs, and she let out a sharp groan as her knees buckled.
Spopovich landed, stepped forward, and slapped her hard across the face, knocking her into the air before she crashed down again.
"I… I won't give up. I can't quit!" Videl forced herself back to her feet.
Bang!
Spopovich kicked her in the chin.
Then he started beating her without stopping.
Videl's face was soon bruised and swollen, and she could barely defend herself anymore.
"That bastard! Enough! Stop hitting her!" Gohan shouted, furious.
Kale was shaking with anger too.
Spopovich grabbed Videl by the head and lifted her up before punching her hard in the stomach.
Videl coughed up blood.
"That's too much! Stop it already!"
"He's going to kill her!"
The crowd shouted angrily.
"Hehe!"
Spopovich tossed Videl into the air and punched her again.
Videl hit the floor hard, feeling like her whole body was falling apart.
"Videl, you've done enough! Give up!" Kale finally shouted.
"I… I think she should give up too," the referee said, walking over and trying to persuade her.
"No. I won't give up," Videl said stubbornly.
"Videl, what are you doing? Why are you still trying to tough it out?" Gohan shouted.
"Videl, he'll kill you!" Kale yelled. "He won't hold back just because you're a girl!"
Videl looked toward Gohan and Kale, and something bitter rose in her chest.
Then she gritted her teeth, forced herself up, and kicked at Spopovich.
Spopovich leaned back.
And that was it.
He smiled with contempt and licked the blood from his lips.
Videl's face turned even worse.
Spopovich grabbed her by the hair and drove his knee into her face.
Videl's face was already a mess, covered in blood. Several of her teeth were knocked out.
Gohan and Kale's expressions changed again and again.
"Videl!" Erasa cried out.
"That bastard!" Sharpner clenched his fists.
Gohan could not hold back anymore. His whole body trembled.
Kale was just as furious for her classmate.
"Kale, Gohan, both of you calm down! She'll be okay!" Goku said quickly.
"Damn it! I won't forgive him!" Kale snapped.
Yellow-green light erupted around her, and her power surged wildly through the area.
Gohan had been about to turn Super Saiyan, but when he saw Kale transform, he stopped.
Whoosh!
Kale transformed into a Legendary Super Saiyan and appeared beside Spopovich in an instant.
Spopovich froze.
"Kale?" Videl stared, confused and barely able to understand what was happening.
"You bastard," Kale said coldly. "How dare you hurt my classmate?"
Spopovich grinned at her, not afraid at all.
"Kale, be careful. He's strong," Videl said, worried.
Kale said nothing. Killing intent filled her face.
"Hmph. That guy's done," Vegeta said calmly.
Kale stood directly in front of Spopovich, staring him down.
Spopovich snarled and threw a punch at her.
Kale slowly raised one finger and stopped his fist with ease.
Spopovich's face changed in terror.
Videl's eyes went wide.
Kale stopped his punch with one finger?
"You hurt my classmate," Kale said coldly. "I'm going to kill you."
She kicked him.
Bang!
That kick carried all of Kale's anger.
Spopovich shot into the sky like a bullet, turning into a tiny black dot.
A few seconds later, the black dot became red.
Then he disappeared completely.
Kale had kicked Spopovich tens of thousands of meters into the air, where he burst into a mist of blood. He was dead beyond saving.
Gohan gave a helpless smile. "Kale really is strong…"
"He's dead…" Krillin said, his voice shaking. "Yeah, no matter what happens, never make a Legendary Super Saiyan angry."
Goku nodded thoughtfully as he looked at the place where Spopovich had vanished. He did not say anything.
A brief silence followed.
"Wait, didn't Cabba and Caulifla come to enter the tournament too?" Goku suddenly remembered. "Did they not pass the preliminaries?"
Vegeta snapped back to his senses and looked around, but he did not see either of them.
"Tch. Those two Saiyans from Universe 6 are nothing special. Even if they entered the tournament, they wouldn't get anywhere," Vegeta snorted, showing little interest in them.
In the stands, Cabba and Caulifla were watching from a higher seat.
"Kale is that strong?" Cabba said, amazed.
"The Legendary Super Saiyan really lives up to the name," Caulifla said, eating a chicken leg.
"But Caulifla, why did we drop out?" Cabba asked, still confused.
"We don't know enough about them yet," Caulifla said with a grin. "It's better to watch from here and learn. Did you see that guy Vegeta? He just pointed at the Punching Machine, and it turned to dust."
"You're right. Dropping out was the right choice," Cabba said with a nod.
"Videl, I'll take you to get healed," Kale said, lifting Videl into her arms.
The referee and the crowd were stunned.
Still, Kale had saved Videl, and the crowd cheered for her.
That bastard had beaten Videl half to death. Now he was gone.
Kale carried Videl back to the waiting room.
"Gohan, do you have any Senzu Beans?" Goku asked.
"No, Dad," Gohan said, shaking his head.
"Let me see if I can get some from Korin," Goku said as an idea came to him.
He raised his right hand.
Vegeta blinked and stared at him, not sure what he was trying to do.
"Hah!"
A bright glow appeared in Goku's hand.
Whoosh!
In an instant, three Senzu Beans appeared in his palm.
"Only three?" Goku looked down at his hand and scratched his head. "Looks like Korin hasn't grown many lately. Well, it's fine. I can heal people too."
Vegeta stared.
Gohan's eyes went wide.
Krillin was speechless.
Android 16 and Android 21 said nothing, but even they were surprised.
"Supreme Kai… he just pulled those Senzu Beans straight into his hand," Kibito whispered, eyes wide.
The Supreme Kai's face darkened. "How does he know one of our techniques?"
And not only can he use it…
He seems better at it than I am.
It took me years to learn that skill.
How old is this Son Goku?
"Supreme Kai, I'm starting to think he really does have the makings of a Supreme Kai," Kibito said quietly.
The Supreme Kai said nothing.
I think so too.
But I still hate admitting it.
Kale had already carried Videl back like a princess.
"Kale, here. It's a Senzu Bean," Goku said.
Gohan quickly took one and brought it to Videl's mouth.
"Gohan, what are you giving me?" Videl asked.
"It's a Senzu Bean. Eat it and your injuries will heal right away," Kale said.
"Really? Then I'll try it." Videl nodded and ate the Senzu Bean.
