"I don't need you telling me what to do." Vegeta snorted, destruction energy already flickering in his hand.
Just then, a creak came from a small white building nearby.
The door opened, and two figures stepped out, one tall and one short.
It was Babidi, the wizard, and Dabura, King of the Demon Realm.
"Babidi! I brought them back!" Yamu rushed down, landed on the ground, and dropped to his knees in front of Babidi, rubbing his head against Babidi's foot like a dog begging for praise.
Babidi stared at him.
"I told you to bring back one or two people with high energy, not an entire crowd," Babidi said, hating Yamu more by the second.
"I wasn't supposed to bring more?" Yamu froze.
"You're useless now. Die." Babidi glared at him.
Yamu's body swelled at once, and he screamed in agony.
Bang!
He burst into a cloud of blood and died on the spot.
Goku and the others paused, then looked down.
The Supreme Kai was the most shaken of them all. His face turned terrible, as if he had just seen something horrifying.
"Supreme Kai, what's wrong?" Goku asked, noticing his expression. "You don't look so good. Did you eat something bad?"
"That man is… the Demon King," the Supreme Kai said, cold sweat running down his face.
"The Demon King? You mean the tall one?" Goku asked.
"Yes. His name is Dabura," the Supreme Kai said with a nod.
"I never thought Dabura would join him too," Kibito said grimly.
"Dabura? Is he strong?" Goku asked, scratching his head.
Vegeta snorted without speaking, his eyes full of disdain.
"Babidi himself is weak, but he knows all kinds of dangerous magic," the Supreme Kai said, his voice dropping. "I never imagined Dabura would become his servant."
"His magic can make someone that strong obey him?" Piccolo asked.
"No. He probably controls people by using the evil and desire in their hearts," Kibito said through clenched teeth. "That's exactly why Dabura was such a perfect target."
"That is Babidi's most dangerous spell," the Supreme Kai said, his face pale. "Yamu and Spopovich were controlled the same way. But people without evil in their hearts should be safe."
"This is bad. I thought we could deal with Babidi easily, but now…" Kibito shook his head.
"Yes. I didn't expect this either." The Supreme Kai trembled slightly. "No wonder Yamu brought us here without resisting. I thought we would catch them off guard, but they were waiting for us all along."
"Hmph. One guy shows up, and you already think we're doomed?" Vegeta sneered, not worried at all.
The Supreme Kai went quiet.
You don't understand how terrifying Dabura is.
Below, Babidi and Dabura looked up at the Supreme Kai and the others.
"Dabura, that idiot Yamu brought far too many people," Babidi said, already getting a headache. "Can you handle them by yourself?"
"Of course. Don't forget, I am the Demon King," Dabura said with a smile. "Besides, they all have powerful energy. Perfect for releasing Majin Buu from his seal."
"As long as you're confident." Babidi relaxed a little.
"Babidi, once Majin Buu is freed, don't forget about Zat. We have to find a way to save him," Dabura said.
"Don't worry. I won't forgive those two," Babidi said, clenching his fists as he remembered Ken and Merus beating him senseless.
"I won't forgive them either," Dabura said, killing intent flashing in his eyes.
Once I'm done here, I'm returning to the Demon Realm.
I need to find the Demon Supreme Kai.
"Should I lure them all into the spaceship?" Dabura asked.
"No need. There are too many of them. They might damage the ship," Babidi said. "Keep the three strongest ones and kill the rest. Oh, and leave the Supreme Kai alive. I want to take my time with him and make him suffer."
"As you wish, Babidi." Dabura grinned.
"Good luck. I'm counting on you." Babidi turned and went back inside the building.
Pui Pui, who had just come out, ran into Babidi and immediately stepped aside.
"Babidi… what about me? What should I do?" Pui Pui asked eagerly.
"Dabura is enough here. You go inside and guard the first floor," Babidi ordered.
"Yes!" Pui Pui said, thrilled.
"Well then, I'll begin." Dabura looked up at Goku and the others with a grin.
Whoosh!
In the next instant, Dabura shot into the air and appeared right in front of Kibito.
He raised his hand and aimed at Kibito's head.
Kibito's face changed, but he was too slow to react.
"Hahahaha!"
Dabura laughed as energy gathered in his palm, ready to kill Kibito on the spot.
But just before he could fire, a hand clamped around his arm.
Dabura paused and glanced at the person holding him.
Orange skin. A massive frame. A sharp, powerful face.
It was Piccolo in his orange form.
"Hmph. You came over here just to die?" Piccolo snorted, then snapped at Kibito, who was still frozen. "Are you stupid? Move!"
Piccolo kicked Kibito away.
Bang!
Then he drove a heavy punch straight into Dabura's chest.
"Guh…"
Dabura spat blood at once, the blow tearing the air from his lungs.
Piccolo tossed him upward and opened his mouth, firing a beam of light that swallowed Dabura in midair.
Dabura screamed.
The Supreme Kai stared in shock.
Piccolo is this strong?
That's Dabura, King of the Demon Realm.
He transformed and made Dabura look this helpless?
Did I underestimate him?
Kibito was just as stunned.
I knew Piccolo was strong, but not this strong.
Is he actually the strongest one here?
"Cabba, we can't lose to the Saiyans from Planet Vegeta. Let's go too!" Caulifla said.
"You're right," Cabba said quickly.
The two of them transformed into Super Saiyans without hesitation and rushed at Dabura.
They worked well together, and with Dabura already badly hurt from Piccolo's attack, he struggled to keep up. Their blows drove him back again and again.
Cabba kicked Dabura in the face.
Caulifla followed by slapping him hard across the other cheek.
Dabura's face was soon bruised and swollen.
He quickly steadied himself and struck back.
Dabura caught Cabba's incoming fist, grabbed his head, and slammed it straight into Caulifla's.
Their heads cracked together, and stars spun in both of their eyes.
"You brats think I'm afraid of you?" Dabura roared. A large blade appeared in his hand, and he swung it toward Caulifla.
Caulifla's face went pale, and she dodged with everything she had.
The attack came so fast that she did not even have time to turn Super Saiyan Two.
"Raaagh!"
Cabba suddenly shouted and fired a powerful blast at Dabura.
Dabura twisted around and cut the blast clean in half with his blade.
Then he spat at Cabba.
The spit split apart in midair, breaking into three globs that shot toward Cabba, Goku, and Vegeta.
From Dabura's point of view, the strongest people here—the ones with the most usable energy—were Gohan, Kale, and Piccolo.
Goku and Vegeta had already trained their divine power, and that was mostly what they were using now, so Dabura mistook them for the weakest.
Kale could use destruction energy too, but most of the time, she fought as a Legendary Super Saiyan.
Those three had to be kept alive so their energy could be used to wake Majin Buu.
"You bastard! How dare you spit at me!" Vegeta was furious. He waved one hand and vaporized Dabura's spit before it reached him.
Goku sidestepped and avoided it as well.
The last glob flew toward Cabba.
Cabba failed to dodge and took the hit directly.
"Be careful! Don't let his spit touch you!" the Supreme Kai shouted.
Goku looked at him, speechless.
"Tch. Supreme Kai, are you an idiot? Why are you saying that now?" Vegeta snapped.
"What happens if it touches you?" Cabba asked.
Then he turned to stone.
"Yes. That happens," the Supreme Kai said gravely. "It turns you into stone."
Cabba went silent.
Are you using me as the demonstration?
Goku went silent.
Vegeta went silent.
Piccolo and the others had no words either.
You could have said that earlier.
Cabba's stone body began falling from the sky.
"No! If he breaks, he can't be restored," Kibito said, rushing forward to catch him.
"Cabba!" Caulifla shouted.
"Hmph. Worry about yourself first," Dabura said with a cold laugh. His eyes sharpened, and he swung his blade again.
The slash nearly took Caulifla's head off.
She reacted fast and ducked just in time, barely slipping under the blade.
Slice!
Her spiked hair was cut flat across the top.
Caulifla froze.
"Caulifla!" Kale saw her get attacked and flew into a rage.
Boom!
Yellow-green light erupted around Kale as she transformed into a Legendary Super Saiyan.
Whoosh!
She shot upward in an instant.
Bang!
Kale drove her head straight between Dabura's legs.
A sickening crack rang out.
"Aaaagh!"
Dabura screamed like a slaughtered pig, his red face turning white from the pain.
"You hurt Caulifla!" Kale shouted, grabbing both of Dabura's ankles.
"Wh-What are you doing?" Dabura suddenly had a terrible feeling, despair flashing through his eyes.
He spat at Kale.
But the moment the spit came near her, a flash of lightning burst around her body.
Snap!
Yellow-green electricity turned the spit into steam, wiping it out completely.
"Aaaaaah!"
Dabura screamed as pain ripped through his body.
Goku and the others looked closely, then realized Kale was tearing Dabura apart with her bare hands.
"Hah!"
Kale pulled with all her strength and ripped Dabura in half.
The Supreme Kai froze.
Kibito froze.
Goku and the others could only stare with awkward, helpless expressions.
Kale held half of Dabura's body in each hand. Energy flared over her palms, covering both halves as she prepared to destroy him completely.
"Wait! Use destruction energy!" Vegeta suddenly shouted. "Don't let his soul escape!"
"Huh?" Kale paused and glanced at Vegeta.
Then she stopped hesitating and released destruction energy from both hands.
Snap!
Dabura's torn body vanished into nothing, erased completely by Kale's destruction energy. Not even a trace remained.
Even Dabura's soul, which had just begun to flee, was swallowed by the same power.
Dabura was dead.
Completely dead. Even his soul never made it out.
Caulifla appeared beside Kale and patted her arm. "Kale, you really are amazing."
"Caulifla, is your hair okay? Can it grow back?" Kale asked, looking sadly at Caulifla's flattened hair.
Caulifla's once-spiked hair now sat flat against her head.
"Haha, I think that hairstyle looks pretty good," Goku said with his usual careless laugh.
