Chapter 47 - Part 47 ARC XLVI The Cost of Past

Chapter 1 The World Under Demons.

A month had passed since the Demon Lord walked free and something has changed.

The world was no longer the world.

The blue planet had been broken and reshaped beneath single will.

New servants roamed the lands, crowned in corrupted power, enforcing devotion through fear. Cities knelt. Kingdoms burned their banners and replaced them with sigils carved in blood and shadow.

Worship was no longer faith.

It was survival.

The gods had already turned to dust.

No savior remained.

No hero answered prayers.

Those who refused the Demon Lord's rule are now dead or vanished from reality.

They left behind silence.

The sky itself had changed. Once blue and open, it now churned in shades of black and crimson, as if the heavens were bleeding endlessly. Daylight felt sick. Night never ever truly end.

Happiness felt like a forgotten concept, something that may have never existed at all.

Smiles survived only on the faces of the new servants and For everyone else, fear flow in place of blood.

Castle of Knight.

Stone walls rose high above the cursed land, untouched by ruin yet heavy with sorrow. Power saturated the air, ancient and absolute, bending reality itself into obedience.

Inside this fortress, a single life continued to resist.

Wraith...

In this one month, she had tried countless times to escape the nightmare she had awakened into. Each attempt ended the same way.

The world itself refused to let her go.

Sometimes she collapsed before reaching the gates because the air beyond her chambers weakened her body.

Sometimes Yhustel found her just in time.

Every time, she survived.

And to her, survival felt like punishment worse than death itself.

The one responsible for taking everything from her was now the one preventing her from joining the dead.

The Panic moment.

"WRAITH!"

Yhustel's voice echoed through the halls, raw and unguarded.

No answer.

His steps thundered against the stone as he searched room after room, corridors bending slightly under his presence. Servants scattered, terrified, as the strongest being in the castle lost control.

"Wraith!"

"Please… answer me."

Still nothing.

Then he saw her.

She lay unconscious near the threshold of her chamber, her body unmoving, breath faint. The air beyond the protective seal of the room was foreign to her, hostile to her existence.

Yhustel was at her side in an instant.

He lifted her gently, as if she might shatter under his hands.

"Water!" he roared, his voice shaking the castle.

"NOW!"

Servants rushed to obey.

He carried her to his own chamber, the only place shielded enough to keep the Demon Lord's influence away from her. The irony burned deeper than any blade.

He placed her carefully on the bed and sank to the floor beside it, towering form folded inward.

A servant arrived with water, placed it silently, and fled.

Yhustel did not move.

He only watched her breathe.

His voice dropped to a whisper, stripped of power, stripped of pride.

"Please… don't leave me, Wraith."

His hands trembled, resting against the stone floor.

"Please… not you too."

She did not stir.

Even when she woke, she never truly spoke to him.

Not once.

Her eyes carried no hatred anymore.

Only exhaustion.

Only loss.

Only the unbearable weight of being alive when everyone else was gone.

And so the world remained frozen in its cruel irony.

The one who destroyed her world now guarded her from literally everything.

The strongest knight The Demon Lord ever created, reduced to a silent watcher, praying to a Demoness who would not look at him.

Chapter 2 – The Thing Called Home

Wraith woke to silence.

Not the comforting kind.

The kind that pressed against the chest and reminded her exactly where she was.

Yhustel's room.

The realization hit her like a dagger.

Her hands curled into fists before thought could stop them. She lashed out at the stone wall beside the bed, pain flaring instantly up her arm. The shock grounded her, dragged her fully awake.

Footsteps echoed.

Yhustel was there in a blink, already holding water, power flowing instinctively to mend what she had done to herself.

She yanked her hand back.

Wraith (snapped): "Don't you dare to touch me."

Yhustel (stepped back immediately) : "I'm sorry,"

Wraith (bitter laugh): "Sorry?" (she spat) "You think this will help? You think caring now fixes anything?"

Wraith (fury): "You're not saving me. You're torturing me. Every breath I take is because you won't let me go."

Yhustel (didn't argue) :"I know I can't undo what I've done. All I can offer is regret."

(That only made it worse.)

Wraith: "Regret? That word loses its meaning the moment you use it."

"Do you even know what it feels like to lose everything? To lose everyone?"

Yhustel stayed silent.

She noticed.

And smiled cruelly.

Wraith: "Right. You don't, You don't know love. You don't know family. You don't know what it means to be loved."

Wraith (coldly): "That's the difference between you and him."

"His name didn't need to be spoken"

"Every time I close my eyes I remember them. He died for me. That's what love is. And you… you're just a heartless monster."

Yhustel turned away.

He left the room without a word.

Wraith watched him go, chest heaving.

Her plan worked.

Now she knows how to make him leave her alone.

Wraith (whispering): "I'll bring them back, At any cost. And when I do… I'll kill you by my own hands."

But it's not out of hatred.

Out of justice.

---

The Night Escape

When the castle finally slept, Wraith moved.

She wrapped her face and body carefully, shielding herself from the hostile air beyond her chamber. Each step outside felt wrong, like the world itself rejected her existence.

But she didn't stop.

The land beyond the castle looked like a wound that never closed. The sky bled black and crimson. The ground felt cold, watching.

Wraith: "I'll fix everything,"

She ran.

Toward the Seal of Eternity.

Toward the last hope.

Then the shadows moved.

A towering knight stepped forward, forged of bone and steel, eyes glowing with demonic intent. A new servant of the Demon Lord.

Its blade lashed out, releasing slashes of energy with every swing.

Wraith barely avoided the first.

The second caught her leg, sending her crashing to the ground.

"Die," the knight growled, raising its weapon.

The earth screamed.

As a spear slammed into the ground between them, shaking the battlefield.

Yhustel (stepped out of the darkness): "Touch her again and you will not exist long enough to regret it."

Knight (shaking in fear): "I–I didn't know she mattered to you, my lord,"

Yhustel's (eyes burned): "She is worth more than your life, Remember that."

The knight didn't hesitate. It fled.

Yhustel lifted Wraith gently and carried her back toward the castle.

Wraith: "Leave me alone,"

Yhustel: "Not possible,"

---

The Breaking Point

Back in his chamber, he tended to her injury carefully, never meeting her eyes.

Yhustel: "They want to erase you, Running will only get you killed."

Wraith (cruel and snapping again): "At least they respect my choice,"

His voice rose loud for the first time.

Yhustel: "Enough, WRAITH! I am trying—"

Wraith (cutting him off mid sentence): "That's the difference, If you truly loved me… you wouldn't shout at me."

The words hit harder than any blade could.

Yhustel sat on the floor instead of standing over her, turning his back slightly so she wouldn't feel trapped.

She saw an opening.

In a sudden motion, she summoned her sword and struck.

The blade met his neck and stopped.

It didn't even have broken skin.

Yhustel stood again instantly with no expression on his face.

Wraith steps back crawling in fear instinctively, bracing for death.

But It never came.

Yhustel looked down at her, eyes empty and unbearably tired.

Yhustel (softly): "Stay safe"

Then, after a pause that felt like centuries—

"…Daughter."

He left the room.

And Wraith was left staring at the door, her heart pounding with something far more dangerous than hatred.

Confusion.

Chapter 3 – Who Are You

That night was quiet, but Wraith couldn't sleep.

The words of Yhustel kept echoing in her mind, striking her heart every time she remembered them.

Wraith (whispering): "Why did he call me daughter?"

Those words carried something Wraith believed Yhustel himself didn't realize.

Love.

The way he called her daughter was too pure.

Even Wraith's real father had never spoken to her so gently.

Wraith: "Why does he act like that?"

---

The next morning, Yhustel came with food, his eyes lowered, already knowing the Demon Lord was right about her.

Yhustel placed the food on the table and turned to leave.

Wraith: "Listen!"

Yhustel (stopped and turned around) : "Yes, anything else?"

Wraith (not mocking this time ) : "Are you really a monster?"

Yhustel (tired of explaining): "Yes. I am a monster. I took everything from you. I'm sorry."

He left the room again.

He knew Wraith would never accept him, yet he could never harm her.

Wraith (whispering under her breath): "You know something…"

She didn't eat.

She stepped out of the room, not to escape, but to find him.

Even walking through the hall made her regret her choice.

A servant noticed her and immediately rushed to Yhustel's second room to inform him.

Yhustel felt it.

His heart tightened as he rushed into the hall and saw her.

Wraith (half conscious): "I was looking for y—"

(Collapsed)

Yhustel panicked and carried her back, bringing her to his room, or rather, what had now become Wraith's room.

---

Later, when Wraith woke up, she saw Yhustel sitting on the floor.

His head rested beside the bed, asleep.

To protect her, Yhustel hadn't even slept properly for over a month.

Wraith, (tapping his horns ): "Wake up."

Yhustel (instantly woke): "Yes, what happened?"

Wraith: "Who are you really?"

Yhustel: "I've already told you who I am."

Wraith: "I think so, you're hiding something."

Yhustel (stood up and turned away ): "I hide what I have to."

Wraith : "You spared me because of your daughter, right?"

Yhustel (froze at her words, then turned back to reply): "Listen, girl. Don't try to get close to me. You know who I am, and I'm a monster. This is my reality."

He left the room instantly, giving her no chance to speak further about his past.

Chapter 4 – The Past

That evening, Wraith was quietly making plans to make Yhustel talk about his daughter, but she knew forcing him would never work. She needed a better way.

Later, she stepped into the hall with her face covered by a blanket to shield herself from the lethal air, when she noticed a locked room.

Something about it felt untouched, forgotten.

Wraith (calling her sword): "Lock?, go fuck off."

One clean slice, and the padlock fell. As she entered, the room greeted her with thick spider webs and layers of dust. It felt like it hadn't been opened for centuries.

Wraith stepped inside, searching for anything that could reveal Yhustel's past.

Then she saw it. An old doll. As she reached for it, her vision blurred, her breathing grew heavy, the air choking her from within.

Before her body could give up completely, Yhustel appeared from the door.

Yhustel (asking): "What are you doing here?"

Wraith "Nothing… but I found this."

She showed him the old doll and all painful Memories flashed violently in Yhustel's mind.

Yhustel (requesting):"Leave that doll please."

Wraith: "Who is she..?"

Yhustel (coldly): "Leave that doll."

Wraith (forcing him): "You have to tell me."

Yhustel (snapping): "LEAVE THAT DOLL!!!!"

Fear rushed through Wraith. She immediately placed the doll back on the table and turned to leave.

Wraith: "Sor—"

Her body gave in again. She collapsed as the air overwhelmed her, hitting the ground hard. Yhustel froze for a moment before realizing the truth that it was because of air.

Yhustel (in his mind): "You idiot… she tried to talk to you, and you scared her."

He carried her to her room and stayed there, refusing to leave until she finally woke up.

After hours when Wraith finally opened her eyes, Yhustel apologized to her instantly.

Yhustel: "I'm sorry, child!"

Wraith (turning her head away): "Huh!"

Yhustel (hesitating): "I followed his orders because he helped me. Believe me… I never wanted that."

Wraith (mocking): "Helped you!? You're already strong enough to kill anything."

Yhustel: "No. I wasn't strong from the start. I'm a demon of the Savatar kind."

Wraith (confused): "What?"

Narration - The Savatar were the weakest demons to ever exist. Physically fragile, with no abilities or magic, so weak they couldn't even fight a human alone, just one useless ability to resist heat beyond measure.

Yhustel: "The Demon Lord helped me when I needed it most. That's why I followed his orders… at any cost."

Wraith: "Then where is your daughter?"

Yhustel exhaled deeply, and for the first time, he didn't turn away. He began to speak.

In the land of burning Nights.

Yhustel was a Savatar demon with a small village and a small family. They lived far from other species, on quiet land that was enough for them. A village of weak demons, and something hidden beneath it...

Others called it a curse to be born a Savatar, but he never felt that way. They lived happily until that day...

A human entered their land and discovered something no Savatar has ever found in centuries.

Vamp....

Beneath that small land lay a massive deposit of that mineral under the surface.

Their peace ended that day. Humans attacked for the cursed material, but ore wasn't enough. They wanted something more from them.

Slaves...

Those who tried to run away were killed, those who surrendered were chained.

His wife worked in the mines, and he had promised to protect her but he failed. His four-year-old daughter worked too, because he was too weak to protect them.

They were tortured, abused, cursed, and when anyone protested then humans reminded them of their limits.

One day, a human spoke badly about his wife. Yhustel struck him with a rock, and in return they showed him what weakness truly meant. They broke his bones and locked him away, and that human said—

Human: "Now see how I'll kill your wife."

Yhustel (begging): "Please… leave her. It's my fault. Don't harm her."

Human: "It's too late now."

He was left alone in darkness.

Yhustel hated humans more than anything, but he hated himself even more. Protecting his family was his responsibility, and he failed every time, every single time.

As he rotted in that cell, a voice echoed. No one was there, yet someone was.

The Demon Lord...

Demon Lord: "Such a poor demon. Can't even touch them."

Yhustel (confused asking): "Who are you? What do you want from me?"

Demon Lord (mocking): "Want? What could you possibly give me? You have nothing."

Yhustel: "You're here to mock me!"

Demon Lord: "I'm here for a deal."

Yhustel: "A deal? What deal!?"

Demon Lord: "I'll give you enough power for your revenge but after that you have to work for me."

Yhustel (asking): "I'll be able to kill them?"

Demon Lord: "Yes. You'll be strong enough to protect your kind. Your family will never serve humans ever again."

Blinded by rage, Yhustel agreed. The Demon Lord blessed him with his magic. His body grew from five feet to ten, muscles tearing chains apart, power flooding him beyond limits.

Demon Lord (firm): "Go. Take your revenge first. I'll tell you your work later. She needs you."

Yhustel rushed home and saw that human holding his four-year-old daughter by the neck while his wife begged at his feet for her life.

The door shattered, and what entered was no longer the same demon. It was death wearing Yhustel's face.

He Ripped apart that human instantly, lifted his daughter, and held his wife's hand.

Yhustel: "We are not their slaves anymore."

That night, no Savatar ever served humans again. He killed every one of them without hesitation and freed his kind.

Then the Demon Lord gave him his true task. Names of gods, humans, animals, and creatures. His duty was to kill them all. He was blessed with insane strength, endurance, and something no one ever expected.

Domination in every war.

No one could defeat him on 'Earth' unless he gave up, and he never did.

He became what everyone feared. A heartless monster.

He never fights he just kills everyone without hesitation showing no mercy even innocents, even children.

His family started fearing him. His wife begged him to stop, his daughter called him a monster, but he couldn't say no to the one who saved him when he needed it most.

One day, his wife left with his daughter and left a letter.

Letter — "You won't stop until you burn everything. I don't want my daughter to grow under your shadow. It's a curse to have someone like you in my life."

Yhustel broke completely. He searched for them but failed. He stopped killing because his family never wanted him that way.

Then the Demon Lord spoke again.

Demon Lord: "Yhustel!… I have bad news. Humans have killed your wife and daughter."

Yhustel lost everything. He isolated himself in this castle. Even with all that power, he was helpless. He failed them and after that The Demon Lord was later sealed by the strong gods and begged to be freed, but Yhustel refused.

There was nothing left worth living for. That was why all the Demon Lord's servants died one by one in all those centuries.

Present moment—

Yhustel summoned his spear and placed it beside Wraith, then lowered his head to her feet.

Yhustel (giving up for the first time): "If killing me brings peace to your heart, then do it but I can't change what I've done. I'm sorry, daughter. Forgive me… if you can."

Wraith remained silent, not out of hatred, but because the weight of his past stole her voice. She was speechless.

Yhustel: "I know my presence makes you uncomfortable. I'm sorry. I'm just a heartless monster. But you remind me of my daughter, and I still love her more than anything."

Yhustel left the room with tears in his eyes. Wraith tried to stop him, but no words came out of her lips.

---

Chapter 5 – The Promise

Later that night, Wraith stepped out to find Yhustel.

Her hatred was gone. Her anger had burned out because he was not a monster she believed.

She found him seated on his throne in the vast hall, the old doll resting carefully in his hands. His head was lowered. He didn't look at her. Forgiveness, in his mind, was never meant for someone like him.

Wraith: "I'm sorry… for my earlier words."

He kept his gaze down.

Yhustel: "It's okay. I caused you more pain than—"

He didn't finish.

Without hesitation, Wraith stepped forward and wrapped her arms around him, holding him tightly.

Wraith: "Father!."

The word shattered him.

The strongest servant broke in seconds, arms closing around her as centuries of loneliness collapsed into tears. He held her like something fragile, something he had waited forever to hold.

Yhustel: "Please… say that again."

But No answer came.

Her grip loosened.

Reality struck him like a blade. The lethal air had taken her again. Worse this time. Blood traced slowly from her nose.

Panic took over.

He lifted her instantly and rushed to her room, placing her on the bed, splashing water on her face, shaking hands trembling.

Yhustel: "Daughter… please don't leave me. Please… no."

Her eyes slowly opened.

Wraith: "I… I can't resist that air…sorry"

He sat beside her, his voice breaking.

Yhustel: "You took my heart out."

Wraith: "I'm sorry… I just wanted to apologize."

Yhustel: "You don't need to. You are my daughter."

She swallowed, then spoke softly.

Wraith: "Can I ask you something? Please… don't say no."

Yhustel: "Even if you ask for my life, I'll give it freely."

She hesitated only a second.

Wraith: "Is there any way… I can bring them back?"

The faint smile on his face vanished. He understood. She had her own family in her own life. And he answered her honestly.

Yhustel: "Yes. There is a book. The Grimoire of Time and Space. It can send you to the past… and let you change anything but it also has a price."

Wraith: "What's the price?"

Yhustel: "I don't know. The book decides. It always takes something."

She looked at him.

Wraith: "Can you bring me that book?"

He paused then asked for something.

Yhustel: "Only on one condition."

Wraith: "What condition?"

His voice trembled asking that

Yhustel: "I know I don't deserve love… but please spend one week with me. Just one. I beg you. I never got time with my daughter. Please… don't say no."

She smiled and nodded.

Wraith: "Okay… Father."

For the first time, Yhustel smiled for real. Just a little.

He knew that once the timeline changed, this feeling would vanish. The memory of having a daughter would be erased.

But still… he asked.

Wraith: "Thank you for this love. Even my real father never treated me like this."

Yhustel: "Then forget that brainless man. I'm here. And I promise… even if the Demon Lord himself tries to harm you, I'll protect you at any cost."

Thunder roared. Lightning tore through the sky.

A presence returned instantly...

Demon Lord (mocking): "What? You think she truly loves you? She's fooling you. Wake up, Yhustel."

Yhustel: "You crawled back again."

Demon Lord: "Is that how you speak to your master?"

Yhustel: "How dare you speak about my daughter like this."

Demon Lord (laughed bitterly) : "Your daughter? She didn't hesitate to bring death to her own father. You think she'll love you? Never."

Wraith (explaining): "He tried to kill me. But my family protected me."

Demon Lord: "And yet you call the one who destroyed your family… your father?"

Yhustel: "Don't you dare say another word to her."

Demon Lord: "I am warning you again. When her work is done, she will become the reason for your fall."

Yhustel looked into Wraith's eyes.

Yhustel: "Even if she hates me… even if her love is false… I'll help her. Blood doesn't matter. She matters more."

Demon Lord: "Then I challenge you. Protect her."

Yhustel: "I accept. Send anyone you want. As long as I breathe, no one will touch my daughter."

Demon Lord: "Time will tell."

The shadow withdrew in darkness and silence deposited again.

Yhustel (promising): "Don't worry. I'll protect you… even if I have to die."

Wraith held his hand: "I believe in you… Dad."

Chapter 5 – The plan

The next morning, when Yhustel woke, something felt wrong.

The air itself resisted him a little.

Breathing was heavier, thicker, as if the world had tilted slightly against its own rules. That was when he understood it.

The Demon Lord had taken his first step.

Not a strike.

A warning.

Yhustel rushed to Wraith's room and found her sleeping peacefully. Her face was calm, untouched by fear. Now everything was clear to her. She no longer needed to panic. She believed she could bring her people back. She believed she could save the world.

Only Yhustel knew how fragile that peace was.

His heartbeat slowed when he saw her breathing steadily. He turned to leave, but a presence brushed against his senses.

Someone was here.

He moved to the window and saw the same knight who had attacked her before, hiding among the plants, watching.

Yhustel said nothing.

He just simply cracked his knuckles and the sound alone enough to shattered the knight's courage in pieces. He fled instantly, every step filled with regret. Yhustel watched him disappear and understood the message.

The Demon Lord would not hold back anymore.

This was only a little play.

The real danger was coming.

But he also knows that until he is breathing then Demon lord can't create Someone like him.

The great hall—

Later, in the hall, Yhustel began planning. The Grimoire of Time and Space rested in a distant library. Leaving Wraith alone meant death, yet even stepping outside her room risked her life. The lethal air was already tightening its grip.

She was safe only because she was confined.

The week no longer mattered to him.

All he wanted now was her happiness.

To see her smile again, even if it cost him his final wish.

Yhustel (thought quietly): "If someone else could bring me the book…"

The idea settled slowly, then sharpened. It was dangerous, but it meant he could stay with her until the book arrived.

But there was no one he trusted.

He attempted spell after spell, trying to suppress the lethal air, hoping to travel with her himself. Trusting others with Wraith's safety was something he could not do.

Then he found it.

A barrier spell capable of blocking demon magic.

Yhustel (exhaled): "Now I'm ready."

He went to Wraith's room and explained his plan. She listened, then agreed without hesitation.

Wraith: "Now I hate the Demon Lord even more."

Yhustel: "Yeah… he deserves that."

Yhustel left the room, summoned his spear, and sat alone in the hall, planning. He already knew the Demon Lord would not allow them peace so, even a small mistake will kill her.

But because of the curse of Strong gods on demon lord, he is still weak in this dimension, even if he was free now he can't use is full force.

Night fell.

Exhaustion pulled at him, but he refused to sleep. Leaving Wraith unguarded felt like inviting death itself. He dragged a bench outside her door and sat there, watching, protecting the one life that mattered for him.

Eventually, sleep claimed him and.

A nightmare followed.

Wraith lay dying in his arms, her blood staining the ground, while the Demon Lord laughed above him.

Demon Lord: "You failed another life."

Yhustel woke violently and threw the door open.

She was alive.

Wraith was inside, calmly repairing her armor using water, her movements steady and focused.

Yhustel approached and sat beside her.

Yhustel: "Can water really repair your armor?"

Wraith: "Yes. It was Strom and Sam's idea. They used my blood to forge it. A birthday gift."

Yhustel (lowered his eyes): "I'm sorry you have to face all this because of me."

Wraith (looked at him with no hate): "It's okay. We're going to fix everything… right?"

Yhustel nodded: "Yes. We can. And we will."

But deep inside, Yhustel already knew.

The risks he would take for her happiness could cost her life as well.

Chapter 6 – The Real Attack

The next morning, Yhustel fastened his ancient armor, the metal locking into place like a ritual long memorized. His spear rested against his back, humming faintly as he raised a barrier around himself.

Wraith stepped inside it, already armored, sword firm in her grip.

Yhustel (unfolded a worn map, eyes sharp): "Follow me & Stay alert."

Wraith (glanced around the silent path): "So… hunters are coming for us?"

Yhustel (nodded, cold certainty in his voice): "Yes. They just don't know who they're hunting."

They moved toward the Ancient Library, home of the Book of Time and Space.

But Yhustel was different now.

Too sharp. Too aggressive just too much.

Even the crack of a pebble made his hand tighten around the spear.

Wraith, however, felt no fear.

She knew the one protecting her was someone who could kill death itself.

She slipped her fingers into his, walking beside him like a child. A stolen childhood, briefly reclaimed. Yhustel felt it too. He savored the quiet, knowing he would forget this feeling soon.

Something burst from the ground.

A demonic creature barely finished rising before Yhustel's spear pierced its skull instantly.

Wraith (froze in terror): "It didn't even try to attack us."

Yhustel (didn't look back): "Doesn't matter. I don't take risks anymore."

They continued forward.

More creatures emerged.

But Same result.

Slain before they could move.

By the time they reached the library, the ground was littered with corpses. No servant could stand even a second against him.

Yet the silence ahead felt wrong.

Heavy. Watching.

Yhustel stopped abruptly: "Don't move!."

Wraith (frowned): "But we've reached it."

Yhustel's eyes narrowed: "If the Demon Lord won't hold back… why only weak creatures?"

Realization hit her.

Wraith: "So the real ones are still waiting."

Yhustel: "Yes."

The ground trembled.

Something vast began to rise.

First came the Blood Titan, fifty feet of nightmare. Insane strength, terrifying speed, phasing out of reality for brief moments.

Then Grimvalvor emerged. Two hundred feet tall. No pain. No fear. A walking fortress wielding a sword longer than castles. Its presence alone suppressed speed, healing, shapeshifting, even magic.

And finally—

The sky darkened.

Darkius, in his dark dragon form. Two hundred fifty feet of cosmic terror, purple flames burning like dying stars, ancient spells crackling around him.

Yhustel turned sharply: "WRAITH. RUN."

She obeyed.

A mistake.

They weren't here for Yhustel.

They were here for her.

All three attacked at once.

Yhustel stepped between them before any blow could reach her.

His strength was monstrous. He pushed back all three simultaneously. But they didn't fight him directly. They dodged, redirected, striking toward Wraith as she worked to break the library's sealed gate.

The Blood Titan leaped for her but Yhustel yanked it midair and hurled it straight into Darkius's face.

Grimvalvor swung its massive blade but after that Yhustel blocked it with his spear, then punched the ground so hard the shockwave sent the colossus staggering.

Darkius unleashed cosmic purple flames.

Yhustel didn't dodge, He just Shield her by his body.

The flames washed over him.

His skin remained untouched.

High above, the cosmic shadow watching and enjoying the little show, amused.

Demon lord: "Ahh… that poor demon. Always struggling."

Wraith hammered at the lock while Yhustel fought all three alone.

And he was clearly winning.

Because he was unbeatable.

Then Grimvalvor caught him.

Darkius pinned him down they are buying time for him...

The Blood Titan charged straight on Wraith.

Her armor absorbed the brutal punch. She rolled away, barely regaining her footing.

Yhustel's voice thundered: "ENOUGH!!!."

His spear pierced straight through Grimvalvor's heart.

Telekinesis slammed the giant again and again until the two-hundred-foot god-slayer collapsed, lifeless.

Darkius tried to fly away but it was too late now.

Yhustel's spear sprouted ethereal wings. Darkius lost his anchor to reality.

The spear struck his skull and he fall in death's mouth.

Blood Titan roared, the battlefield now pure chaos. Wraith struggled just to stand as the titan loomed over her.

Blood titan (smiling): "You will die today."

Wraith (smiled, sharp and unafraid): "You dare to harm a girl in front of her father?"

The titan was dragged backward by him and after that.

One brutal punch.

The nightmare ended in seconds.

Yhustel (turned toward the sky): "See what you have created."

"A monster."

Demon Lord (smiled): "No. Not yet."

Yhustel felt it.

Something worse was coming.

He rushed the library gate. One punch shattered the lock.

But after that Lightning struck...

Both were thrown aside. They crashed violently. Wraith couldn't stand.

She saw Yhustel lying motionless.

Wraith (panicking):"Father—!"

His eyes opened.

Pure black. Hollow.

But Something had filled him.

Yhustel (but he didn't sound familiar): "Yes, Daughter!."

The voice wasn't his.

Wraith gasped and tried to run but Yhustel appeared instantly before her, spear raised.

The Demon Lord (whispered from the heavens ): "If she succeeds, you'll lose your happiness again. Your daughter will leave you."

Yhustel (coldly): "No… I won't let that happen."

His grip tightened on his spear: "She can't leave me. I'll kill her first."

Wraith (voice broken) : "Dad… it's not you."

He slashed.

But The spear missed her completely.

It felt like he was attacking and protecting her at the same time.

Yhustel: "DAUGHTER, RUN!"

His tone shifted, cold and merciless.

Yhustel: "YOU CAN'T RUN FROM ME."

She fled into the library.

He chased.

Stopped.

Turned back.

Then resumed the hunt.

Wraith was running for her life when Yhustel was still fighting himself first.

The Demon Lord laughed softly: "That demon hasn't changed yet."

Wraith sprinted through endless shelves, searching desperately.

She found it.

The Book of Time and Space.

But Yhustel grabbed her helmet and hurled her away from it. He stepped closer.

Wraith (voice breaking): "Father… it's me."

Yhustel (His eyes were empty): "You are not my blood. You are not my daughter."

Something shattered inside her.

She didn't fight him.

But She ran away.

She snatched the book, moved faster than sound, and vanished from the library in seconds.

---

Later She reached a safe place and opened it just to find it.

Empty...

Blank pages.

No words. No spells. Nothing.

Hope collapsed and She threw the book and clutched her head in frustration.

Wraith: "FUCK!"

Then something impossible happened.

The book spoke: "You are disrespectful, lady."

Wraith (froze): "…A book is talking?"

Book: "Yes. And I know what you want."

Wraith: "Then talk straight. Give me power to travel back in time."

The book laughed: "It costs something special."

Wraith: "I'll pay later. Do it."

Book: "You want to manipulate reality. Then you must abandon changing the fate of death."

Her breath hitched.

Wraith: "What?"

Book: "You will lose your water healing abilities… and your power to heal others with your blood."

Wraith (snapped): "You can't take that from me!"

Book: "I warned you already."

Her voice trembled.

Wraith: "That power is my pride. It keeps my family safe."

The book (reply with a calm tone): "What will you do with your power if you don't have your family?"

Silence.

She turned and saw death...

Yhustel was coming.

Spear ready.

She understood what was going to happen and what he wanted.

Her life.

She closed her eyes.

Wraith: "Okay. Do it."

Book: "Excellent!."

Light erupted violently in seconds as the magic worked and changed the reality.

The spear struck—

Nothing.

Wraith and the book were vanished...

Chapter 7 – The Blue Lips

When Wraith opened her eyes, the world felt wrong in the best possible way.

Morning light spilled softly across her room inside Astrid's house, calm, warm, alive.

She sat up instantly, heart pounding, and turned toward the calendar. The date stared back at her like a miracle.

The same day Zyphus and Violet would speak of Yhustel. The same night the world was supposed to die. Yet the house breathed with life.

The book rested in her hand spoke again Book (annoyed): "You succeeded. But your powers are gone now."

Wraith (grinning like a maniac): Doesn't matter, bitch. I'm back… and I remember everything.

Book (offended): "Manners, lady."

Wraith (snorting): "My foot."

She shoved the book onto her shelf, hiding it beneath clothes and steel, then stepped outside as if afraid the world might vanish if she stayed still too long.

Sam was in the garden, dirt on his hands, calm like nothing had ever ended. Wraith didn't hesitate. She sprinted forward and jumped onto his back. Sam staggered but held his balance.

Sam (groaning): "Come on, Wraith, you're not a kid."

Wraith (laughing): "My best brother!"

Sam (suspicious): "Alright, what do you want?"

Wraith (innocent): "Nothing."

She released him and moved on before he could question it. Astrid barely had time to react before Wraith wrapped her arms around her. The hug that came back was crushing, ribs screaming.

Wraith (choking): "Still… too strong."

Astrid (smirking): "Yes big sister means big powers."

Flowra received her next, arms warm and gentle, motherly love grounding her soul. Wraith lingered there a second longer, breathing in safety she had already lost once.

Then she saw Nia approaching. Wraith rushed her, lifting her clean off the ground. Nia answered by lifting her right back.

Wraith (teasing): "How's my little kitty cat?"

Nia (grinning): "Better now, how cute my Demoness is."

They talked, laughed, touched life like it could slip away any second. Wraith said nothing of demons, corruption, or fathers lost twice. She was too happy. Danger could wait now.

By afternoon she reached Strom's house. The door opened to Dravyss alone. Wraith rushed forward and held her tight, receiving a soft kiss on her forehead.

Dravyss (warm): "How's my honey?"

Wraith (smiling): "Just missing you. Where's Strom?"

Dravyss (casual): "Training. The Dragon Knight never rests you know."

Wraith nodded and left, already knowing where to go.

The forest swallowed her as she moved fast, instinct guiding her steps. After an hour she found him near the cave forge, spear glowing with fresh upgrades. She didn't slow down.

She didn't hesitate. She ran straight into him and kissed him with everything she had.

Four seconds.

That's all it took before Strom shoved her back, lips already turning cold blue.

Strom (wincing): "Ouch!"

Wraith (sheepish): "Sorry… I couldn't control myself."

Strom (confused): "Why this much love?"

Wraith (smiling): "Not I won't tell you."

Strom (touching his lips): "This love is… so cold."

They laughed, walking side by side. She listened as he talked about his weapon, his voice grounding her, proof he was alive. She kept her silence. Some truths needed time.

Evening came with Zyphus and Violet. The group gathered, tension settling as news of Yhustel surfaced. Then Astrid squinted.

Astrid (pointing): "Strom. What the fuck is wrong with your lips?"

Sam (concerned): "Bro, did you drink poison as alcohol?"

Zyphus (analyzing): "Possibly venom. A snake bite, perhaps."

Dravyss (deadpan): "You look terrible."

Violet (honest): "It's an ugly-ass build."

Nia (tilting head): "Knight, you look weird as fuck."

Strom (annoyed & offended): "There's a demon knight roaming near the Seal of Eternity and you idiots are focused on my lips?"

Wraith stood quietly, smiling to herself. She knew exactly how to handle the demon knight.

And she knew exactly why Strom's lips were blue.

Chapter 8 – End of the Strongest Servant

Night swallowed the world as the group gathered their weapons, armor gleaming faintly under cold moonlight. Blades were checked, spells prepared, mana steady.

Wraith stood among them, calm, unreadable, letting time finish the work she had already begun. She knew exactly what came next.

They took to the sky on Dravyss's back, slicing through thick clouds toward the Seal of Eternity, unaware of how close fate was to breaking. When they landed, silence greeted them. Atop a massive stone sat a lone figure.

Yhustel.

The strongest servant of the Demon Lord.

Wraith (calm): "Guys, don't attack. I have a plan."

Strom (confused): "What plan?"

Wraith (firm): "Just wait."

She dropped her sword Then she walked forward alone to him.

Yhustel (mocking): "No weapon? You want to die?"

Wraith (soft): "May I tell you something… in your ear?"

Yhustel already knew he couldn't lose. A blue demoness, silver armor, empty hands. No threat. He leaned down.

He didn't just hear words.

He felt love.

Wraith (embracing him): "Father!."

The battlefield froze. Jaws dropped. Even the wind seemed stunned.

Yhustel couldn't move. Those words… centuries of waiting collapsed into a single moment, he can't push someone who melts his heart.

Yhustel (breaking): "Please… say that again."

Wraith (smiling ): "Father. Dad. My hero."

Yhustel fell to his knees, not defeated by force, but by something greater. Wraith removed her helmet. Blue eyes met his yellow.

Yhustel (shocked): "Kayle…?"

Wraith (confused): "What?"

Strom (alarmed): "How the hell does he know about Kayle?"

He turned toward Strom, heart racing.

Yhustel (desperate): "You…you know my daughter?"

Strom (careful): "Your daughter? She never talked about you… but yes. We're friends."

Yhustel (voice trembling): "She's alive?"

Strom (nodding): "She is. Do you know Aunt Lalian too?"

Yhustel (shaking): "Yes… yes. She's my wife."

Sam (deadpan): "No offense man!, but you're terrifying and she's... very pretty."

Yhustel (begging): "Please. Take me to them. I'm requesting you… please."

Strom (confused): "Of course old man. Let's go, this world needs new upgrades now"

Violet: "Yes we came here to fight and now going to his lost family."

They mounted on Dravyss's back again, Yhustel among them now, flying toward a quiet house hidden deep in the forest. When they landed, the sound drew attention.

Kayle stepped outside and knew it must be Strom.

Kayle (smiling): "Wow… you brought friends? And ( shocked ) a....a dragon?"

Lalian followed, frozen in place.

Layna (stammering): "A…d...d...dragon?"

Strom (grinning): "We brought you a gift."

All stepped aside and they saw him...

Yhustel.

Time shattered. Centuries collapsed.

Yhustel ran forward, scooping Lalian and Kayle into his arms in a single motion, a ten-foot demon clinging to the family he had lost.

Yhustel (broken): "Please… forgive me."

Layna (trembling): "You've changed…"

Yhustel (soft): "Yes. I've changed."

Kayle (hesitant): "Father…?"

From the side, Valkyrie sighed.

Astrid (bored): "I came here to fight, not watch demon family drama."

Strom (awkward): "Yeah… this is kinda weird."

Sam (smirking): "Shut up, Mr. Blue Lips."

Zyphus (amused): "New title unlocked."

Strom (annoyed): "Keep roasting me and you'll regret this."

Wraith watched silently. Her smile faded. She thought she'd get her father back. Instead, she realized… he already had a family and she is never his daughter.

Wraith (in her mind, tears falling): "At least… he's happy."

Then Yhustel lifted her onto his shoulder.

Yhustel (warm): "You are my daughter too. Don't feel sad, child."

Her tears fell freely now. Not from pain. From fulfillment.

The sky cracked. Lightning roared. A voice echoed without presence.

The Demon Lord again...

Demon Lord (furious): "Yhustel… what are you doing?"

His voice brings all the memories of the pain that hit Yhustel like a blade. The lie. The isolation. The manipulation over the centuries.

Yhustel (cold): "So you lied to me… all these years."

Demon Lord (urgent): "Listen to me—"

Yhustel (cutting him off): "No. You listen. You turned my pain into a weapon."

Demon Lord (threatening): "I gave you power. I am your master."

Yhustel (unyielding): "No. You're a liar. From this moment on, I guard the Seal of Eternity myself. Bring anyone you want I dare you. But remember one will be ever able to free you."

Demon Lord (snarling): "I'll kill you all."

Strom (bored): "Bla bla bla."

The presence vanished in darkness.

Yhustel raised his hand. His spear answered. Strom's spear began to shake violently, ripping free from his grip and flying into Yhustel's grasp.

The weapon transformed.

Forged of radiant silver alloy etched with ancient runes. Blue crystalline veins ran through the blade like living lightning. Twin wing-like extensions unfolded near the spearhead, glowing with cosmic energy. The core pulsed with a Azure-violet gem, beating like a heart. A weapon of balance. Power and restraint.

Yhustel handed it back to Strom.

Yhustel (proud): "Now… it's yours, Knight."

Strom (stunned): "How you can control it I mean... I built it."

Yhustel (smiling): "Check every possibility because Sometimes you forge something not just for yourself."

Sam (grinning): "Moral of the story… don't steal designs."

Strom (saluting): "Yes sir!"

They laughed.

No one died.

Reality was rewritten.

Wraith gained a father who didn't hate her don't judge her for loving humans.

Strom gained a weapon beyond legends.

And Earth gained a guardian strong enough to stop death itself.
