With a thought, he exited the [Skill] tab and entered the [Affiliations] page…
Like the condition of a factoryout of use or a construction site that was closed for the day, the [Affiliations] page was dark, intentionally made dim to an almost ridiculous extent to indicate that the page had seen no activity at all in it. A bold watermark was spread across the page diagonally. It read:
[No affiliations yet]
Mike stood there, his mouth agape from shock.
"You've got to be kidding me!" He blurted out, unaware of when he did. Being the First Special Assistant to the Council of the Central Government, he had had many opportunities to interact with the high and mighty and the creme de la creme of society: the members of nobility that wanted an audience or a favor from the Council over which the Central Government lorded, the members of the Greater Council, which was the second-highest governing body of the Central Government, and the members of the Central Council of the Central Government—generally shortened as the Council, the Central Council, or the Council of the Central Government—of which he was the First Special Assistant. Then, before his transference to this reality, many of those people who were under the Central Council of the Central Government tried to enter into his good books so that he could put in a good word for them to the members of the Central Council. Thus, for him to see the affiliations page blank was a shocker for him.
"It seems this thing only recognizes relationships formed and connections built here…" Mike thought. "Either that, or those shallow creatures never took me seriously at all, only seeing me as a means to an end." Mike fumed. After a while, he calmed himself down. There was nothing anger would do for him at this point. It was better for him to face the present and move on; besides, there was one thing that made him tilt in the direction of believing that only those relationships built here would be recognized: his family. Despite the state of their relationship, they were not taken into account…
Moving on, he navigated his way into the page behind the [pet beasts] tab from the [affiliations] tab, only for him to meet a similarly dark page on which a watermark sat that read:
No pet beast yet.
…even if he remembered that he had two pet dogs and three cats in his modest home back in his home world.
He decided not to dwell on the oversight of whosoever was in charge of the information department of this world, or maybe, this reality. So, he left the [pet beasts] tab with a thought for the page behind the tab he was expecting the most.
The [Aspect beast] tab.
