Long ago in the distant past there lived a man without any major ambition, a man who only desired a single thing. That thing was not power, it was not riches, it was not women, it wasn't even me. The single desire of that man was peace, not world peace but the kind of peace where nothing changes, where everything follows a strict pattern, where everything is predictable and nothing is unexpected.
That was the single desire of that man, he spent millennia trying to achieve that dream, and unknowingly also spent millennia trying to achieve eternal life and unrivalled power to uphold that 'peace' he was after.
After countless millennia's his dream gradually grew closer. He had achieved eternal life, he had achieved unrivalled power. All to achieve his dream, a dream that had unknowingly twisted into the desire for absolute power.
The man had made numerous enemies throughout his journey. He had grown indifferent to others.
In his quest for absolute power, he did something so terrible. he earned another title, "Vile God"
He had kidnapped 5 of the 7 holy maidens, Boiled them for 5 days and 5 nights while keeping them alive but not before striping them of their skin, Leaving them bare and bleeding.
He projected the process to the world for 3 days before cutting the connection. To the world this was all he did, of course they were still outraged but this was just the tip of the iceberg.
-After the connection cut-
He then took 2 of the boiled maidens (alive), melted and refined them into two merging potions while making the other 3 maidens watch for 2 days non stop without food. He then forced two maidens to each drink a transfiguration potion in front of the 3rd.
The 3rd maiden watched as two maidens dropped to the floor and screamed in agony, their essence fusing with the refined maidens essence. Their body writhing as they were turned into two small pills glowing a soft bluish-golden colour. As a result of the 5 day boiling ritual that turned the maidens bodies and essence into materials that can be used for alchemy, brewing, and forging purposes.
-3rd maiden Pov-
I've been here for 7 days, at first i thought that we were kidnapped for randsom, because I don't think lowly bandits would be able to break through all that protection just to get a feel for us. They must have a bigger motive possibly money, resources or to make a point. I hoped it isn't the latter.
But i was wrong he didn't want any of those three. I don't even know what he wants, He must be the incarnation of an evil deity. How else could do all these actions without a change in expression, acting like it's normal. And just how incompetent are the 7 heavenly sects and imperial guards. They seriously can't even find us after all this time?
"You aren't scared?" The man said to me in a questioning tone.
"W-what?"
"I don't sense much emotional fluctuations from you" He replied without a change in tone.
"..."
"I expected to sense disgust, grief, dread, despair, maybe even anger" He paused
"But all I sense is suprise, shock, and a hint irritation from you" He said in an even voice
"What does it matter to you"
"Hmm, How bold of you...But I'll allow it just this once" The vile God said as he picked up the two pills.
"Why did you do this?"
"And in what position are you to be questioning me?" He said spreading his arms out, Looking down at me with an arrogant smirk.
"I'm one of the 7 holy maidens, You will do as I say"
The vile God's smirk quickly shifted into a frown, eyes cold and with a stern voice he spoke "Lower your tone while in my presence"
A wave of fear rushed through the maiden as she found herself kneeling, not on her own accord but because of the terrifying pressure the man was emitting.
The pressure put her under the illusion of dying to The vile God countless times in 'creative' ways. Just as she was at her limit the pressure eased and the man spoke again
"WHO AM I?"He loudly and sternly asked, the looked at me with a gaze that seemed to pierce through my body and to my soul.
"t-t-the great immortal God king"
"WHO AM I!" He repeated, this time with a hint of anger in his voice.
"THE GREAT IMMORTAL GOD KING"
The man smiled and looked like he was about to end her but instead suddenly threw the two pills at the maiden. "Eat one today and the second tomorrow" He said, But the girl was scared that her fate would match that of the 2 before her.
Seeing this the man clarified in an irritated tone "These pills do not bear the same effects as the potions the 2 took" He paused, Then said "They serve to strengthen and purify, giving you a complete and qualitative change in both talent and cultivation realm"
"You mean they won't kill me?"
The vile god gave her a look as if to say 'did you not hear what I said earlier?'
"I understand"
"And where will I stay....Master?"
He walked to a wall and a door mysterious appeared. "You can address me as such...You can stay at any building you choose, After all I am no stingy master." With that statement the man had silently accepted the role of her master. And before he left he gave one last statement
"Cultivation hard so you can help this master" with that ue left the room through a door that had unknowingly appeared sometime ago.
-3 days later-
A fair lady that looked not a day older than 21 walked through a path in a large garden. That lady was Shing xi'ner otherwise known as the 3rd maiden, who was on her way to see her master.
It surprised her really, she didn't think she would ever be the one serving someone. Yet here she was acting like she has been doing this for years.
The master I haven't seen him much these past 3 days. He often leaves the monastery and comes back late, He doesn't talk much either. The current image i have of him is totally different than from 3 days ago.
After all I expected a cruel and hard life from that day, A life without happiness. But like he said before he is so stingy lord and true to his word, I receive any food of my choosing, I can ask for any clothing I desire, I can go out to walk whenever and for a man revered as the "Demon king of annihilation" he unsurprisingly owns a large piece of land, though I doubt if it's legally obtained.
Of course it isn't him who attends my demands. He has servants here, two actually. He told one to watch me and attend to my every need. I sometimes question why he gives me this treatment but alas, Life now is almost the same as when I was in one of the 7 heavenly sects, the only difference being I don't have any lessons or practice to do, and I can't leave this area. Which i have no problem as it is again lage.
I was expecting to find this place filled with demons, but aside from the two maids and the master no one else is present. I admit I do feel a bit lonely sometimes but it's quickly forgotten when I remember my current cultivation realm.
Nascent soul realm at 124 years old, I know a hundred people older who aren't even close. Granted my talent was Diamond grade so I probably would have reached it, but that would take at least another 100 years even with my talent.
Those pills did wonders. the first one improved my cultivation from foundation establishment realm, hardening stage straight to Nascent soul realm, infant body stage, Skipping 1 whole realm. But the second one...the second one made my Diamond grade talent advance straight to the legendary Earth grade talent.
With that talent I'm pretty much guaranteed to reach spirit merging realm within 1,000 years. Nothing could possibly top this. Oh I've arrived.
After entering I heard the door shut behind me, if I were to look back i would have seen it disappear just like it appeared that day. After walking some distance in the pitch black room, thanks to my newly aquired divine sense I was able to make out a figure made of countless condensed energy strands even one of those if used properly could bring me more than 50% closer to the next realm. Imagine lower realms.
"Sit" The man in the darkness ordered.
"Yes master"
The now revealed Immortal God king was sitting in a lotus position. back bent, arms planted on his thighs, with his face leaning on them. "Do you know the reason for your summon"
"No"
"Remember those pills I gave you?" He said while keeping a neutral tone
"Yes"
"You must have experienced some gains and are content, but what if I told you there is still way to gain heaven grade talent with tons of cultivation" He said now with a smile on his face.

"And that you've already completed part of the way... Don't you wish to be the best?
Tell me are you willing"
How could I possibly pass on such an amazing opportunity, That hevean grade talent is mine. "Yes"
The man's smile grew wider, as a book appeared in his hands.
"Take this, In it is the method of how to get that talent.

The man could be seen looking attentively at presumably thin air. Where others see thin air, The man saw a red-black holographic display.
This was his system, the very one he had used to climb till this point. And the one that had caused him to not only spare the girl but also take her as a disciple . It had issued him a quest.

In these 1000 years apart from helping my disciple reach the peak, I wasn't idle. I was completing other quests such as eradicating the elf species, Destroying both kingdoms and sects, You know the usual.
I my disciple didn't agree to join me in doing these quests, so I had to use a little persuasion. It wasn't even that bad I just told her the location of her family and friends a long with their status. I don't know why but it worked, I should use this method more often.

Vemiir said completely disregarding the fact he threatened Shing xi'ner with her family. "That's why you must be bugged, how could I ever be wrong"
"You bring Shing xi'ner here" Vermiir said to a female servant in a condescending tone.
"Yes master" The servant replied with a gaze filled with resentment and hatred, that didn't go unnoticed.
I love seeing them so mad, knowing they're helpless and couldn't possibly do anything against me. Why are they angry? I don't know but I love it.
Vermiir said forgetting that he had slaughtered her family and clan leaving only her sister and threatened to finish the deed if he was disobeyed. Rather than just putting her in a cell he also made her his servant and gave her the same words. Now both sisters are stuck working for him, both unable to do anything as they are under constant surveillance. Untill recently.
Ever since vermiir had gotten a disciple, he had stopped paying attention to the two sisters. Which had allowed them to contact outsiders for help. Those outsiders are the top 10 strongest sects, kingdoms and clans both orthodox and unorthodox. All those forces started forming plans to invade The vile god.
They even managed to recruit his demon army aside from his 5 generals. Why? Because each and every soldier excluding the generals never came here by choice, they were all forced to serve Vemiir. Why had they never complained? Simple he was strong, So strong it wouldn't even be an exaggeration to say that he is "Heavens equal"
So when they were contacted by Such a big group they readily agreed to conspire against their villainous Boss.
The World alliance as they call themselves, had amassed such a large force all for one man. The vile god, The unholy saint, Heavens equal and enemy of the world. Vermiir the demon king of annihilation.

"Master" Shing xi'ner called
"What is it my diciple" Vermiir answered eyes closed
"Why do you do? all that you do?" Shing xi'ner said
"Hmm, why do I do them?... Well i guess it's because-because I can't bear to watch things go to waste"
"?" Xi'ner Raised an eyebrow in confusion
"I can't bear to see all those animals running around while they could be fuel for my power, They should all do as their created to do-bowing their heads and waiting for me to come and collect my materials" Vermiir replied rather aggressively
"I also can't understand why they resist, why should they deny their purpose!? Why can't they just sit still and wait for me to claim my property" Vermiir replied angry and irritated, brows furrowed, eyes open looking crazily at the sky.
"..." xi'ner didn't reply
Suddenly space shifted and millions of people appeared each one with a cultivation no less that spirit merging. The land was covered with people of all races for as far as the eye can see.
"Oh? A bunch of weaklings dare challenge me" Vermiir said as he stood up to see all the free 'exp'
"Humans, Beastmen, orcs, Demons, ogres...Wait Demons?!
Those unloyal little things, they dare betray me. Where are my generals, well since they aren't there they'll probably come"
What he didn't know was that his loyal Generals were all dealt with before hand. Then a person of the Mahayana realm (10) stepped up. "We are the world alliance and we have come to slay the demon king"
Slay me with this many people? "If you have come to slay me why have you brought people under the Mahayana realm? Surely you know that they couldn't possibly do anything to me" Vermiir spoke in an amused tone.
"Mahayana realm? What mahayana realm all I see is a Void shattering fodder" Spoke the expert
"How dare you! Courting death" Vermiir said as he dashed towards the expert. His 'disciple' following close behind
When vermiir reached a certain distance the expert smirked and said "Got you"
"What?" Much to vermiir's confusion. Then suddenly a barrier erected behind him and his 'disciple'. "Fools you've trapped yourselves with me".
"Not necessarily" After saying that vermiir felt that something was wrong, then chains appeared around all Mahayana realm's essencess, the chains forced the realms of all those entangled. There were no more Mahayana realm existence within this space. All had been forcibly lowered to Spirit merging realm, 2 whole realms under Mahayana.
"No matter, it's two against one" Vermiir glanced and his disciple. It was an excellent choice getting a disciple.
"No it's five against two" Expert 1 said as 4 more people all Used to be Mahayana experts. Came forward.
"Brother 4 and sister 5, go deal with his disciple when you're done come join us.
Brother 2 and 3 come with me, let's deal with this devil" expert 1 clearly the leader barked out orders.
While 4 and 5 went to fight xi'ner, 1,2,3 stayed here and challenged vermiir.
"Even so, do you all think you can match my strength." Vermiir said as he checked whether he remembered how to use arts, and yes he did the system made sure of that.
"You juniors cannot see mt. Tai" Vermiir said with a mocking tone and an amused expression. "Come on now! Let's rumble"

I originally just wanted to write like some background lore for the mc but it spiralled into a story, I mean it's still background i just didn't intend for this.
There may be confusion on why I did some stuffs,
The answer is that I wrote this chapter in multiple days so someday I come i change an idea and boom suddenly there inconsistencies but I try to fix them.
What ever here is an unrivised, amateur chapter.
