Chapter 127 - The Most Miserable Thor — The Only One Left Alive on the Family Register

The fact before everyone's eyes was undeniable —The gods from ancient myths really did exist.

In fact, one of them was sitting in the next room right now.

Although that god currently looked a little disheveled… and, well, a bit dumb, the truth remained — gods were real. No one could deny it.

And besides that—

Tony Stark had possessed this mysterious diary for quite some time, and not once had any of its "spoilers" turned out to be wrong.

So, logically speaking, the existence of a "Creator God" written in it… had to be real too.

Tony's worldview was on the verge of collapsing.

[The little girl mentioned before should be Thor's last living relative, right?][Honestly, a lot of Marvel's heroes have tragic backstories — some of them are downright miserable.][But if we're talking about the most miserable one, without a doubt, it's Thor.][His father's dead, his mother's dead, his brother's dead, his best friend's dead, and his girlfriend's dead too!][His whole family register — he's the only one left alive!][Compared to that, Scarlet Witch or Black Widow's tragedies are light work.][If Marvel ever made a "Most Miserable Hero" ranking, Thor would absolutely be number one — unshakable.]

Tony sucked in a sharp breath.God, that was tragic.

He had once thought Wanda Maximoff's story was pitiful, and had even felt sorry for that powerful witch — but next to Thor's misery, hers was practically sunshine and rainbows.

Good lord…What did Thor ever do to deserve that?Did he offend the Creator himself or something?

His father dead, his mother dead, his brother dead, and even his girlfriend gone — the whole family register wiped clean except for him.

Although Tony didn't recognize the phrase "family register" at first, context made it clear enough — it meant every family member was dead except one.

A quick check from JARVIS confirmed it:Thor really was the last living member of his family.

Of course, Tony himself was also an orphan — his parents had died too.But hey, at least his best friend was still alive, and his girlfriend too.

And according to the diary's spoilers, his best friend would even become War Machine, a superhero in his own right, and his girlfriend would eventually marry him!

In Tony's eyes, that was a perfect ending.

Thor, though? His family dead, his friends dead, his girlfriend dead — everyone gone.

Tony shuddered again. That was just brutal.

"Nonsense!"

"This is complete nonsense!"

"Who wrote this garbage?!"

Thor slammed his hand on the table with a thunderous crack, his entire body trembling with fury.

He was genuinely enraged.

That damned Zhou Cheng — what grudge did this man have against him?Why write something so vicious and curse-filled about him?

No, Thor was sure now. This diary wasn't Loki's doing.

His brother would never write something like this. Loki respected their father and mother just as much as he did.He would never curse their entire family like this.

So there was only one explanation — this was all Zhou Cheng's doing!

That man… whoever he was…Why did he keep cursing Thor again and again?

If it had only been about Thor himself, fine — he'd be angry, sure, but not this furious. But the man had dragged his parents into it.That, Thor could not forgive.

BANG!

Thor stood up so suddenly that his chair went flying backward.Clutching the diary tightly, he stormed out of the room in a rage.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!

Nick Fury and Natasha, who were still focused on reading their copy of the diary, were startled by the sharp, angry knocking outside.

They exchanged glances, then temporarily put the book down.

Natasha went to open the door — and there stood Thor, looking absolutely furious, clutching a diary in his hand.

The moment Natasha saw that familiar cover, her eyes widened slightly.

Thor… also had a diary!

That was a surprise.

And judging by the look on his face, it wasn't hard to guess why he'd come storming in — he was here to demand answers.

"Thor, where did you get that?" Natasha asked calmly.

"This thing?"Thor shook the diary in his hand."You know about it? Wait… don't tell me you people are behind this! What exactly are you doing here?!"

"Come inside, Thor," Natasha interrupted before he could rant further, glancing up and down the hall with practiced caution. "We shouldn't talk about this out here."

Thor followed her in.

Nick Fury's single eye immediately flicked to the book in Thor's hand.Sure enough, it was identical to the one sitting on the table in front of him.

So… Thor had one too.

Fury leaned back slightly, speaking in his usual calm, measured tone."Judging by how angry you look, I take it you just got yours?"

He gestured for Thor to sit down."I know you've got a lot of questions. Let's talk this through."

"So it is related to you!" Thor snapped, his brow furrowing deeply as he glared at Fury. "You admit it!"

But then his eyes landed on the table — on another diary, identical to his own.

"You have one too!"

Thor marched forward, comparing the two copies side by side — they were exactly the same.

SLAP!He slammed his diary down on the table, grabbed Fury by the collar, and lifted him up.

"Explain this!"

"Thor, let him go!"

Natasha instantly raised her taser, pointing it at Thor without hesitation.

According to what the diary had already revealed — and what reality had proven — Thor right now was basically a powerless mortal.

He wouldn't even withstand a stun gun.

"You plan to use that tiny weapon against the God of Thunder?" Thor sneered — but halfway through, his mocking grin froze.

Because he suddenly remembered something.

He had been taken down by a tiny weapon like that… just a few nights ago.

"It's fine, Natasha," Fury said calmly, gesturing for her to lower the weapon. He looked completely composed — as if everything was under control.

"Thor, I know what you're thinking. But calm down for a moment and use your head."

"If I were really behind this, do you think I'd leave my copy lying right here on the table for you to find?"

"Come on — do I look that stupid?"

Thor paused.That… did make sense.

He reluctantly released Fury but didn't let go of his suspicion.

"Then why do you have one of these?"

"Same reason as you," Natasha interjected smoothly."It appeared out of nowhere. We didn't summon it. It just… showed up."

"The only difference," she added, "is that we got ours a bit earlier than you."

Thor looked between them, frowning, but finally loosened his grip completely.

"So all of this… it's the doing of that man named Zhou Cheng?" he asked."Who is he? Have you found him?"

"Unfortunately, no." Fury's tone didn't waver."This thing is far too mysterious. We've investigated, but there's nothing — no trace, no leads. We don't even know who Zhou Cheng really is."

For someone spinning a lie, Fury's face was unreadably sincere.

The man truly was a master spy.

Natasha, of course, knew exactly why Fury was lying — and she didn't call him out. She simply stayed quiet.

"But one thing," Fury continued, his tone turning serious, "we do know. Everything written in that diary… has come true. Every. Single. Thing."

"Ridiculous!" Thor barked."This is absurd! Are you saying that man can predict the future? That's impossible!"

Predicting the future — even Odin himself couldn't do that at will.

Yes, his father could catch glimpses of the future sometimes, but only fragments — and only when it involved matters of immense cosmic importance to Asgard's survival.

Even Odin could never describe future events in such precise, detailed clarity.

And this was Midgard — a world of mere mortals!

No, Thor couldn't believe it.

"Thor," Natasha said softly but firmly, "if I were you, I'd take every word in that diary seriously."

"I know you don't believe it," Fury added, "but I can prove it."

Thor raised an eyebrow. "Prove it? How? Are we supposed to just sit here and wait for Loki to show up?"

"Please — even if he did come, it wouldn't prove anything. He might just be visiting his exiled brother."

He gave a derisive laugh.

"You're right," Fury said evenly. "That alone wouldn't prove anything."

"But what if… Captain America really does lift your hammer?"

Thor froze, then burst out laughing."Impossible! That's absolutely impossible!"

"Is it?" Fury's single eye gleamed."We'll see soon enough."

Without another word, Fury stood, gave a brief nod, and left the room.

Where was he going?Naturally — to find Captain America.

At first, Steve Rogers had no interest in trying to lift Thor's hammer. To him, the whole idea was silly — meaningless, even.

That was why he hadn't even tried back at the crater site before. Not everyone was as curious as Tony Stark.

But now… something Fury had said had clearly changed his mind.

No one knew what exactly Fury told him, but within twenty minutes, Steve had agreed to it.

He would give it a try.

Tony, of course, wasn't going to miss this show.

He arrived almost immediately, grinning, because he knew Fury too well.

He didn't need to guess — he knew the one-eyed spymaster wouldn't be able to resist testing that diary's prophecy himself.

And of course, Natasha was there too.
