Chapter 304 - Cheating Professor X, Immortality Beyond the Flesh, Rebirth Through Weight—A God-Like feat

"Superman?"

Charles raised an eyebrow. He hadn't known the other-dimensional netizens for long and hadn't chatted with them extensively.

He'd never heard the name "Superman" before.

*But "Superhuman"? Isn't that title a bit over the top?*

*It sounds like someone incredibly awesome.*

"It seems your world doesn't have DC comics," Tony said, suddenly understanding. He further explained, "Superman is Clark. He has tons of X-Men comics there."

*Comics?*

*What's going on?*

Charles was utterly bewildered.

He certainly knew Clark, another fellow netizen from a different universe, just like Tony.

Charles had greeted him and chatted a few times. Clark was a very polite and courteous fellow, unlike Tony's arrogant and rebellious nature. Charles had a very good impression of Clark.

He never expected Clark to also be known as "Superman."

*This confirms Tony's theory—all diary holders are indeed superheroes.*

But how could there be X-Men comics in Clark's world?

*This world couldn't possibly have such a coincidence, could it?*

*Fine, even if such a coincidence did exist, Tony actually wants me to use these comics as a reference?*

*Is Tony serious?*

*This is a matter of grave importance for the future of us Mutants. We can't just treat it so casually.*

"I know what you're thinking."

Before Charles could even ask for clarification, Tony preemptively offered an explanation.

"The comics in Clark's world aren't just simple comics. They actually record real parallel universes."

"For reasons unknown, many parallel universes—like the Avengers' universe and the X-Men's universe—are depicted as comics in Clark's world."

"So, yes."

"To Clark, they're just comics. But to us, they're invaluable historical records of other parallel universes."

"Even though there aren't comics from our two specific worlds, they're still useful as references."

*What the hell?!*

*How is this even possible?!*

Charles was completely stunned. When had he ever heard of something so bizarre and fantastical?

Could events within one universe be depicted in a comic book in another?

It seemed utterly illogical, even absurd at first glance.

If Tony hadn't told Charles, he would never have believed it.

But then he reconsidered: if such a magical diary existed, why should the words of its connected users be any less credible?

"I understand," Charles said after a moment's thought. "Thank you for your suggestion, Tony. It's very helpful."

Checking his word count, he saw he had nearly used up his daily limit.

Charles suppressed his urge and patiently waited until the next day.

"Clark!"

As soon as his word count refreshed, Charles immediately contacted Clark next door.

"Kent, from today on, Louis is your senior."

"She's our newspaper's star reporter. You're lucky."

**DC World.**

Clark, wearing his glasses and looking mild-mannered, stood before Lois Lane's desk with the Daily Planet's boss, curiously observing the sharp and capable woman before him.

"Lois Lane?"

Outwardly, Clark remained composed, but inwardly, he was astonished and surprised.

He was also immensely curious about Lois Lane.

The diary had mentioned her more than once, calling her the most important woman in his life.

Originally, the diary's spoilers had altered the course of Clark's life.

So, at this moment, he didn't recognize Lois Lane at all.

Yet who could have imagined that fate would prove so peculiar?

After moving to Metropolis with his mother, Martha, Clark found a job as a reporter at the Daily Planet and actually encountered Lois Lane!

Could this be destiny?

Or was this Lois Lane merely someone with the same name?

That couldn't be a coincidence, could it?

"Hello, ma'am," Clark said politely, his mind racing with these thoughts as he greeted Lois Lane.

"Hello, Mr. Kent," she replied, standing up and shaking his hand. "Where are you from?"

"Smallville," Clark answered.

"Smallville?" Lois Lane paused for a moment, then her eyes lit up. "Ah, the little town. You must be quite exceptional if White took notice of you."

"You're absolutely right," Clark said.

Perry White, the editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet, chimed in, "Mr. Kent may be new to this field, but he's got real talent. Lois, I'm leaving him in your hands."

"I'm guessing I don't have a choice but to accept, do I?"

Louis shrugged.

"That's right, you don't."

After giving a few brief instructions, Perry White departed, leaving Clark entirely to Louis.

"Stop standing around like a country bumpkin."

Louis, busy with his own work, casually instructed Clark, "I've got an investigation this afternoon. You can join if you want, but I can't focus on you until then."

"White says you're talented. Let's see what you've got."

Clark smiled, greeted Louis, and returned to his workstation to begin his tasks.

*Charles?*

Not long after he started, Clark received a communication from Charles.

Without hesitation, he immediately replied, "Charles!"

"Tony mentioned you have some comics about the X-Men Universe?"

Due to character limits in their chat, the Other-Dimensional users had all developed a habit of getting straight to the point.

Charles skipped the pleasantries, getting straight to the point with Clark.

"That's right," Clark replied immediately. "What about Mutants do you want to know?"

"I want to know their ultimate fate! I want to know how their future should unfold!" Charles said sincerely. "I hope you can offer me some guidance."

"I can't offer you guidance," Clark said. "All I can do is go back and look through the relevant comics. I'll see if I can help you find the answer."

Given Clark's nature, he couldn't refuse such a request and immediately agreed.

However, this task clearly couldn't be completed right away; it would have to wait until after Clark finished work.

Though Charles was a bit anxious, he had no choice but to wait patiently.

Fortunately, Clark proved reliable.

The moment he finished work, he returned home and began searching through his comics. He read through all the X-Men comics in one sitting and then contacted Charles immediately.

"Tony told me your universe is numbered TRN414. I don't have any comics from your universe. All I could find were from other parallel universes. I hope they can offer you some reference."

Clark told Charles the truth, explaining the real situation.

On the other side, Charles's spirits immediately lifted.

Although there were no comics from his own universe, Clark's tone suggested he had indeed seen some excellent "case studies" from other universes.

*Even if they're just for reference, that's still good, right?*

"I've seen many futures for mutants, but one stands out in my mind: a new era for mutants."

"Under your and Magneto's leadership, mutants will have their own sovereign nation, Krakoa."

A mutant nation?

*Boom!*

This "idea" struck Charles like lightning tearing through dark clouds, instantly clearing the fog from his mind.

For the first time in years of wavering and confusion, Charles saw his path clearly again.

He couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement.

This sounded like the very solution mutants had been desperately searching for.

A new path!

If mutants had their own sovereign nation, wouldn't the sharp conflicts between mutants and ordinary humans cease to exist?

Wouldn't a whole series of complex related issues also disappear?

Of course, this didn't mean all problems would be effortlessly solved. A mutant nation would face its own set of new challenges.

But when considering all factors, this approach remained the most beneficial method Charles could conceive for mutants.

And it was also the best way to unite all mutants!

"Clark, can you tell me more about this Mutant nation?"

Charles eagerly began questioning Clark about Krakoa.

However, due to communication restrictions, it took him over a month to gather even basic information.

He asked about everything: Krakoa's location, governance, how it gained international recognition, and so on.

But the results were less than satisfactory.

After all, the universe where Krakoa was founded was different from his own.

The background and circumstances differed significantly from his own universe, making it merely a reference point.

As Charles gathered more intelligence, even that reference value gradually diminished.

He stopped.

He realized that continuing to ask was pointless.

The establishment of a Mutant nation would require his own efforts.

There was no blueprint to copy.

Over the past month, Charles had been pondering this matter daily. His initial excitement gradually gave way to calm restraint.

After careful consideration, he finally confirmed that this would be his new direction, his new purpose.

Charles believed this was the ultimate path for mutants!

"Found a mutant nation?"

"Charles, that's utterly insane!"

When Charles shared this plan with his most loyal and reliable friend, Hank, he was genuinely startled.

*What was Charles talking about?*

*Founding a nation!*

*What era is this?*

*The global order is already set in stone, and nations are established. Do you think you can just declare a new country?*

*Isn't this a bit too ambitious?*

*After all, the biggest thing Charles has ever built is just a school!*

"It is somewhat insane, but Hank, isn't this the best path for mutants?"

Charles was practically glowing with enthusiasm, his eyes shining with excitement.

He began to outline his basic vision for Krakoa to Hank.

Hank listened, stunned, completely at a loss for words.

The sheer volume of information was overwhelming, leaving Hank struggling to process it all.

But regardless, seeing Charles revived, more determined and spirited than ever, filled Hank with genuine joy.

"Next, please welcome our undefeated legend, the walking human tank, Mr. Fred!"

While Charles and Hank were communicating, Zhou Cheng had once again slipped back into the X-Men world. He found himself in an underground fighting arena, eagerly watching the mutant combatants on stage.

Why was Zhou Cheng interested in this kind of fight?

Simple: these were Mutant fights.

And these Mutants weren't even proper "free fighters." Most were simply captured and imprisoned here, forced to serve as living money-making machines.

Their plight was truly miserable.

*Boom! Boom! Boom!*

As the announcer finished speaking, a "meatball" waddled onto the stage, its massive frame of fat jiggling with every step. It seemed the ground trembled with each step, a true heavyweight in every sense of the word.

*Could that be... Blob?*

Zhou Cheng, mingling with the crowd, immediately made this obvious deduction.

Blob was a rather peculiar Mutant. His superpower was simply growing flesh.

He could grow thick layers of fat without eating or drinking, giving him incredible defensive capabilities that made him almost impossible to injure.

Furthermore, he could "stand firm as a bell," merging with the earth and becoming immovable.

By all accounts, he was the perfect human shield.

Zhou Cheng, however, wouldn't have accepted such a superpower even if it were given to him for free.

As it turned out, Zhou Cheng's assessment was correct.

In the subsequent arena matches, Blob began his performance: standing there with his arms crossed, letting his opponents beat on him.

The opponents would be left gasping for breath, while Blob hadn't even broken a sweat.

Then, with a casual punch, he'd knock the enemy down and win another round.

"Fred!"

"Fred!"

The stadium erupted in thunderous cheers, pushing the atmosphere to its peak.

Zhou Cheng, however, found it rather dull. Shaking his head, he turned and left.

Wandering aimlessly through the streets, Zhou Cheng eventually found himself at another newsstand.

Zhou Cheng habitually bought a newspaper.

One headline immediately caught his attention: the new leader of Trask Industries had taken office.

"Trask has been arrested. It seems the Days of Future Past Project has succeeded," Zhou Cheng thought to himself.

This is where we must address the "information gap" Zhou Cheng faced.

After his previous prediction, he had quickly returned to the Marvel Universe.

Therefore, he was unaware of any deviations that had occurred in this timeline.

Since his Intelligent Body couldn't connect in this world, his only source of information was the newspaper.

So, upon seeing Trask's arrest, he naturally concluded that the Days of Future Past Project had succeeded.

After all, Trask's survival and arrest were precisely what should have happened after the timeline was altered.

"From now on, the old history of the X-Men is over. A new chapter begins," Zhou Cheng mused silently, instinctively recording these thoughts in his diary.

***

Inside Xavier's Mansion:

"Hank, I'm feeling a bit tired. Could you give me a moment to rest?"

Charles immediately sensed that his diary had updated in his mind. He used this as an excuse to send Hank away.

Once Hank had left, he eagerly entered the diary interface.

As expected, the diary had been updated.

Wolverine's Days of Future Past Project was a success! The history of the X-Men has been rewritten, and the Sentinels will never appear.

Phoenix, who was killed by Wolverine, is alive. Cyclops, who was killed by Phoenix, is also alive.

Professor X won't be reduced to ashes and dust by Phoenix.

Still, I have to admit, Professor X's abilities are truly god-tier.

He can survive even when his physical body is blown to smithereens, and then use his immense psychic power to possess another person and be reborn.

What's cheating? *This* is cheating!

Calling Professor X's brain the most powerful brain in the world isn't an exaggeration at all.
