Furthermore, Ultimate Tony simulated the aftermath of Hulk's identity being exposed and the methods by which he would be executed. He discovered that these methods closely matched those described in the diary.
Given the Hulk's formidable combat power and destructive potential, the most effective way to kill him was to kill Bruce Banner instead of the Hulk himself.
In other words, they couldn't use force against Banner; they needed to be subtle.
Nick Fury personally taking charge and using a specially formulated sedative to knock Banner unconscious seemed like the most logical approach.
After Banner was unconscious, he would be moved to a specific location, where a custom-made bomb would be planted.
This would kill Banner in one fell swoop!
This was indeed the most reliable and least risky method for killing the Hulk.
If the day came when Hulk's identity was exposed, and the government sentenced Banner to death, would Nick Fury still ask him to carry out the mission? Would he refuse?
Ultimate Tony fell into deep contemplation.
He quickly found his answer: No!
When Banner injected himself with the mixed serum and rampaged through Manhattan, he should have foreseen the consequences.
Adults must take responsibility for their actions!
And then there's Black Widow, the ultimate spy.
This universe's Black Widow is truly formidable—she's a spy embedded in S.H.I.E.L.D.!
Did Iron Man really believe Black Widow was interested in him? How naive!
Black Widow was sent to kill Iron Man, targeting both his life and his vast fortune.
If Iron Man hadn't outmaneuvered her using nanobots to turn the tables, she would have killed him long ago.
Even so, the old butler Jarvis died at Black Widow's hands.
"The Black Widow of this universe... is actually a villain?"
Tony from Universe 199999 didn't know what expression to make.
Why did everyone in Universe 1610 seem so... off?
They all appeared so much darker!
Hank was abusive, Captain America was a serial cheater, and his other self had even tried to assassinate Banner.
As for Mister Fantastic Reed, that was even worse—he'd performed a craniotomy on his alternate self.
These guys were practically demons!
Yet, judging by the Diary's tone, these variations of the superheroes were still considered superheroes.
But Black Widow had been reduced to a complete villain.
The Diary had barely mentioned his other self proposing to Black Widow, and Tony was already struggling to process it.
Then, with a turn of the page, came an even more shocking twist.
Black Widow had merely been seducing his alternate self, all to rob and murder him!
Holy shit!
Tony's back was truly and brutally twisted, nearly snapping in two.
*What kind of magical and insane turn of events is this?!*
*Is there anyone normal left in Universe 1610?*
*But... the me in Universe 1610 has already mastered nanotechnology?*
*It seems that other self and I have slightly different research priorities.*
*That's right.*
*Tony doesn't currently possess nanobot technology, but that's only because he hasn't bothered to delve into it. It doesn't mean anything.*
*The Playboy is still very confident. If he wanted to, he could easily master this technology at any time.*
*I'm no worse than that other self.*
"This must be a joke!"
The Ultimate Tony of Universe 1610 was deeply shaken.
*Wasn't Natasha supposed to be utterly captivated by my devastatingly handsome face, irresistible charm, and brilliant mind?*
*Wasn't it true love?*
*Wasn't she supposed to fall for me like countless other women, like a moth to a flame?*
Despite having experienced countless such displays, the women who wanted to climb into Ultimate Tony's bed could have formed a queue around New York.
Yet, the only woman who had ever truly stirred his heart was Natasha.
Ultimate Tony had even convinced himself he had found true love.
But when he turned back, the Diary revealed that it was all a conspiracy?
Had Natasha been deceiving him from the very beginning?
And what about him?
He hadn't noticed a thing, completely manipulated by Natasha.
She had even nearly killed him!
She had even killed Jarvis!
How ridiculous, how laughable. Was he, the great Tony Stark, truly such a fool?
Ultimate Tony instinctively scoffed.
But in the next moment, his expression turned grave.
He began to meticulously analyze the Diary's revelations.
Nanobots!
The term immediately seized Ultimate Tony's attention.
Why?
Because he had actually planned to give Natasha a set of Iron Man Armor as a wedding gift.
The design was even complete, and it could be produced within days.
And the system controlling the Iron Man Armor was nanobots!
In other words...
If nothing went wrong, within a few days, nanobots designed to control the Iron Man Armor would be injected into Natasha's body.
The nanobots mentioned in the Diary were no mere fabrication!
There was solid evidence to support their existence.
Given Ultimate Tony's nature, the ultimate control of these nanobots would inevitably remain in his own hands.
There was no other way.
Ultimate Tony had seen too many women in his life. Even though he had proposed to Natasha, believing he had found true love, he couldn't bring himself to trust her completely from the start. A part of him would always remain wary and guarded.
The nanobots described in the Diary, which had helped him turn the tables, must have been these very nanobots, right?
As he pieced this together, Ultimate Tony's expression grew increasingly grim.
If the proposal itself might have been leaked twenty minutes ago, there was still a sliver of possibility.
But the nanobots... no one else could possibly know about them.
This was a secret exclusive to Ultimate Tony!
So how did the Diary know?
Could it be that Zhou Cheng truly knew the future?
Ultimate Tony found it increasingly difficult to remain composed.
Poor Hawkeye Barton, whose entire family was slaughtered by Black Widow.
- And they even framed Captain America, getting both him and Thor captured by S.H.I.E.L.D.!
- So the Loki from this universe is truly formidable, far more dangerous than the one next door.
- Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Hawkeye—half the Ultimate Team fell for his tricks.
- Fortunately, the Ultimate Team proved resilient. The Hulk, presumed dead, survived, and Thor transformed into the true Thunder God at a critical moment.
- Iron Man pulled off a last-minute counterattack, and Hawkeye fought his way out and escaped.
- Otherwise, S.H.I.E.L.D. would have been finished, and America would have been overthrown by the United Team.
In Universe 199999, Tony's expression grew increasingly animated.
Black Widow killed Hawkeye's entire family?
Everyone in the Avengers knows how close Black Widow and Hawkeye were—they were true life-or-death companions, the kind who would entrust their lives to each other without hesitation.
And in another universe, it turned out like this?
Hawkeye's family was slaughtered, and they even framed Captain America!
That other Black Widow must be a demon!
First she kills Hawkeye, then frames Captain America... and earlier it was mentioned she planned to kill me too, even murdered my butler...
This wasn't just a devil anymore; she was a full-blown supervillain!
So what was going on with Black Widow in Universe 1610?
Could it be that, unlike in her own universe, she hadn't escaped the Red Room?
Was she still a Red Room assassin in Universe 1610?
The Diary had mentioned Black Widow was an Ultimate Team mole, implying she had a controlling faction behind her. Could it be the Red Room?
Tony naturally made this deduction.
Of course, the discussion was about Black Widow's true allegiances.
But her actions against Iron Man and Hawkeye were clearly part of Loki's plan to divide the Ultimate Team.
This made the Playboy feel even more uneasy.
Black Widow had become a complete pawn, or rather a puppet, in Loki's hands.
But what about in his own universe?
Or rather, in his original universe, Loki—the master of schemes and trickery—had been outsmarted by Black Widow in terms of intelligence.
The Diary had mentioned this!
Yet in Universe 1610, the situation was completely reversed.
Looking at Loki's "achievements" in this universe, Tony had to reluctantly agree with the Diary's assessment.
This Loki was indeed far more formidable than his counterpart in his own universe.
"Th-this is me from another universe?"
Black Widow was completely stunned, dumbfounded.
*This has to be a joke.*
Why would her alternate self be such a monster?
*This is just a scumbag!*
Actually, she could accept her other self's actions against Tony and Hawkeye. It wasn't a big deal.
*After all, we're spies. Our loyalties just differ.*
She'd clashed with Barton herself during her Red Room days.
*If not for that confrontation, my life would have taken a completely different path.*
But what had this other self done?
*Killed Iron Man's butler, murdered Hawkeye's entire family!*
Black Widow refused to believe that a butler or someone's family would ever be her mission targets.
*This other self is completely slaughtering innocents—a cold-blooded, bloodthirsty, deranged killer!*
That was what truly bothered her.
Meanwhile, Ultimate Tony from Universe 1610 grew increasingly grim.
*Has it really escalated this far?*
*After Hulk, Thor, and myself, will Captain America and Hawkeye Barton also fall victim?*
*What about Wasp?*
What about Quicksilver and Wanda?
Judging by the diary's tone, Loki clearly intends to make the entire Ultimate Team his target. He wouldn't let the others off the hook, would he?
Loki?
The god of myth and legend, the brother Thor always talks about.
After all this, he's actually real?
If that's the case, why would he target the Ultimate Team? Loki is a god; he has no reason to hold a grudge against them.
"Wait a minute!"
As these questions raced through his mind, Ultimate Tony suddenly noticed a crucial detail: the United Team.
*What the hell is that?*
According to the diary, this "United Team" is also Loki's creation. And his goal in destabilizing the Ultimate Team is to dismantle S.H.I.E.L.D. and overthrow America?
This made Ultimate Tony even more baffled. Why would Loki do such a thing? And who exactly makes up this so-called United Team?
Though the Nick Fury of this universe seems far less competent than his counterpart in the other, falling for Loki's schemes hook, line, and sinker.
Sending the Ultimate Team to capture Thor, personally leading the charge to apprehend Captain America, and taking matters into his own hands to eliminate Hulk—what a display of "cooperation"!
This guy's abilities are pretty weak, though. He's got more dirty tricks up his sleeve than Nick Fury next door, and he's always scheming against his own people.
If he hadn't schemed against Reed, wouldn't tens of millions of people in the Ultimate Team's world have died? The entire world would have nearly been destroyed!
Remember, the President ordered Nick Fury to secretly assemble a team to research Super Soldiers to counter the Mutant threat? Reed's father was one of Nick Fury's original team members!
And Hank and Banner too—they were all among the first to follow Nick Fury.
And what happened? One gets kicked out the moment his reputation is tarnished, and the other gets straight-up killed when something goes wrong!
In Universe 199999, Nick Fury felt like he'd been screwed over big time.
Through the examples of the previous superheroes, Nick Fury had started to get a sense of the style of the neighboring universe.
In simple terms, the Diary had summarized it well: they were all a bit "weird."
Given this, it would be a lie to say Nick Fury wasn't curious about what the other him was like.
Of course, like all the other Diary holders, Nick Fury was both curious and worried.
*What if the other me in a different universe does something utterly bizarre? Wouldn't that be like a public execution?*
*Just like Black Widow before.*
Fury was certain that the Black Widow in front of the other Diary must have been squirming with anxiety.
But what he hadn't expected was that the other me in that universe seemed even more of a scumbag than Black Widow.
And not just any scumbag, but a completely incompetent one who relied on schemes and conspiracies without any shred of dignity.
*Was Loki's plan really that brilliant, that flawless?*
*To make my other self repeatedly target his own teammates?*
*Where did his professional standards as a top agent and king of spies go?*
*Did they get eaten by dogs?*
*And he actually believed the absurd claim that Captain America murdered his entire family?*
*What a joke!*
*And no matter the reason, how could he lead a team after repeatedly backstabbing his own members?*
*How could he even survive in S.H.I.E.L.D. after that?*
*What a pathetic waste of space!*
