Chapter 167 - Chapter 166. Alaric, the hero who faced the enemy alone!

Honestly, Alaric was really surprised when he realized that the mysterious guy in green was actually Peter.

Not because it was strange that Peter came out as a superhero, but… that color combination on the costume… hard to describe.

"So, Peter, why don't you choose something lighter, or at least mix it with something else?"

Alaric stood next to Gwen and said a bit awkwardly.

"Ha? Why? When I used to turn into a lizard, I was also green. And now I use dark green, it hides my identity better."

Peter looked at himself, confused.

"Emmm… Well, if you like it."

Alaric looked away.

"Why, is it ugly?" Peter got a bit downcast.

After all, Alaric saved his life, and Peter looks up to him.

Now that he saw Alaric wasn't satisfied with his costume, he started doubting his choice.

"It's not, just… you look like a Ninja Turtle."

Alaric teased.

"Pff…"

Gwen covered her face.

She didn't know what Ninja Turtles were, but she knew what a turtle was.

And yeah, if Peter strapped a shell to his back, he'd really look like one!!

"… I get it, I'll change it later."

Peter heard Gwen laughing and got completely deflated.

And he thought he looked pretty cool.

"But, Mr. Alaric, is this alien invasion over? How do you close that thing up there?"

Peter looked up and asked worriedly.

"Not yet."

Alaric shook his head.

"As for closing it, it's simple: you need Loki's scepter. Or I can do it myself."

Alaric remembered that the protection around the Tesseract was actually pure energy, so maybe he could extract something from that too.

"Ah, not yet… Wait! Not again!!"

Peter suddenly pointed at the portal and shouted.

Gwen also looked up and her face froze.

"Where did all these huge ones come from!?"

From the portal, new enemies began to surge in; this time they were all Leviathan monsters!

In a short time, they filled the sky like black shadows swimming through the air.

"What now? Don't tell me Alaric provoked them."

Steve felt a sense of helplessness.

Just moments ago, he watched Hulk in action, and even such a powerful Hulk couldn't handle more than one of these at a time.

And now it looked like there was no end to them above!

"Cap…"

Natasha was speechless.

"Loki!!"

Thor watched the scene and a low, pained roar escaped his throat.

This time, no matter the outcome or whether Earth would survive, Loki was the biggest culprit.

Enough for a life sentence.

Even Thor wasn't sure anymore if he could take him back to Asgard for trial.

He worried that people on Earth would rather execute him on the spot out of pure rage.

"HULK!!"

Hulk stood on top of a building and roared!

"It's over…"

Amora turned pale; she felt that this time she had really caused a big problem.

Even though she was forced to.

"Master, master! What do we do!?"

Clea grabbed the Ancient One's hand, her eyes full of panic.

How was it possible that Earth was scarier than the Dark Dimension!?

"Now we can only trust Alaric."

Even the Ancient One had a serious expression.

It seemed that after Alaric's blow, the enemies changed tactics and immediately switched to an all-out assault.

"Hahaha! Alaric! No matter how strong you are, let's see if you can stop this!!"

Loki stood on a flying platform, watching the Leviathans pour in, madness flickering in his eyes.

Earlier he had been much calmer; even when he realized Amora was freed, he was only frustrated, not unhinged.

Until he saw that blow.

While fleeing from Tony, he felt a terrifying wave of energy and a whirlwind that almost swept him away.

He looked up and saw the impossible.

With a single strike, Alaric wiped out the sky full of Chitauri.

Loki even saw how the portal nearly collapsed under that blow.

For a moment, he thought his plan was finished.

And then, endless Leviathans poured out of the rift.

"Alaric!! Come on now!!"

Loki flew high, looking down with an arrogant smile.

Behind him, countless giant monsters, blocking out the sky.

Like the end of the world; no more sun…

People everywhere lifted their heads, speechless.

Some fell to their knees, praying to God.

To come down and save them all.

...

Drip! Drip!

"Chief…" Hill hesitated.

"I see."

Fury turned and left the eerily quiet control room.

There was no point in saying anything now.

"Fury! Can Alaric stop the attack of those monsters!?"

The members of Congress all looked at Fury, nervous.

They too had seen the horror in New York and began to fear for their own lives.

Earlier, they thought that if New York couldn't defend itself, they should launch a nuke and flatten everything.

But now they doubted that even one would be enough.

And several in a row, that was no longer "defense," that was destroying their own country.

One would already change the climate; a few more and it's over.

So now they desperately wanted Alaric to perform another miracle.

"All I can say is…"

Fury fell silent for a moment.

"What?!"

They all stared at him, puffed up with expectation.

"I can only believe in Alaric."

Fury quietly placed his hand on the old pager.

He wondered if he should call Captain Marvel.

He didn't know where she was or if she'd make it in time.

But deep down, he hoped Alaric would turn everything around. Perform another miracle.

...

Countless people watched the screen or the sky, praying for a miracle.

Then, high in the air, one figure slowly rose.

The red cape especially stood out.

"Magic Mage!"

"God on Earth!"

"Savior!!"

"He'll make it!!"

...

Everyone looked at Alaric and silently prayed for this hero who stood alone before the enemy.

And Steve, Natasha, Hawkeye, Thor, Hulk, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, Fury, Hill, and even the members of Congress, all looked at Alaric's back, their throats tight.

They clenched their fists and gave him all the support they had in their hearts.
