Chapter 166 - Chapter 165. Alaric, the savior!

Alaric easily leapt and landed on the back of the Leviathan beast, the last surviving one that had entered; he had already dealt with the others just moments ago.

Alaric stretched out his right hand and pointed it at the top of the Leviathan's head, and light flashed in his palm.

"Roar!!"

The Leviathan sensed something on its back, felt danger, growled, and charged straight at the high-rise in front of it.

Seeing that, Alaric frowned, pulled back his hand, activated magic, and teleported the beast into a black hole space.

The immeasurably strong gravity of the black hole tore apart and devoured the roaring beast.

Alaric stood in the air, looking at the black dots in the sky above, through which more were continuously pouring from the spatial rift, and clenched his fists.

"There are a bit too many of you."

He muttered, then swung his fist fiercely!

Rumble!

A powerful light exploded and rushed straight into the spatial rift, and all the Chitauri caught in the light were turned to dust under the impact.

His immense force even made the pillar of light holding the portal tremble, almost forcing the spatial portal to close!

This scene filled everyone who saw it with elation! With indescribable excitement!!

"That's the Magic Mage!?"

"It's him! A superhero!!"

"We're saved!!"

"So strong!"

"Magic Mage is the strongest!!"

"Savior!!"

...

Countless people cheered for Alaric's entrance!

At that moment, they believed that as long as Alaric was here, they would not fall!

Alaric was a savior far above all known superheroes!

The greatest faith in their hearts!!

He is a god!!

...

"Yeeeeah!"

"Alaric! Alaric!!"

"Oh my God! Alaric is so strong!!"

"Alaric! I love you!!"

On the aircraft carrier, in the control room.

When all the operators saw Alaric clear the entire sky with a single blow, they jumped in excitement!

Even Hill couldn't stay calm anymore; she clenched her fist and shouted!

When Fury saw this scene, a weight lifted from his heart.

Alaric truly hadn't let him down!

He was completely on par with Captain Marvel!

Even if they faced aliens and cosmic enemies, Alaric could protect Earth!

And that was exactly what Fury had been hoping for ever since he first saw Alaric defeat the Abomination!

Captain Marvel wasn't on Earth, so Alaric was the core of all his plans!!

Good thing he hadn't turned against Alaric, or he would've missed out on such a force!!

Drip! Drip!

"Director, Congress is calling," Hill said.

"What do they want now?"

Fury frowned and went into the adjacent room.

In the dark room, several holographic projections appeared.

"Fury."

"I'm busy, speak quickly."

"We want all data on Alaric, as well as an assessment of his strength."

Several older and middle-aged men addressed Fury.

They had just watched Alaric's unprecedented display of power, and unease crept into their bones, so they immediately contacted Fury.

To them, someone that powerful must be under their control!

"I know what you want, but unfortunately, I'll have to disappoint you. People like Alaric are only good for being our allies. We mustn't touch him, let alone try to control or blackmail him."

"In short, let me be clear: if any of you are scheming in the shadows and anger Alaric, that's your business. When you die, it has nothing to do with me."

Fury cut the connection.

"Fury, you…" someone tried to lash out, but the screen was already off.

Fury walked out and cursed them internally.

Are they insane?

They want to use the same methods they used on Tony to "handle" Alaric?!

Fury thought, looks like you don't even know how to spell the word "dead"!

Today, Alaric can wipe out an entire alien army with one punch; tomorrow, he can use that same punch to erase your congressional building!!

Fury really had no patience for that bunch.

Afraid of death, yet greedy for power, always wanting to control everything!

If Fury weren't cold-headed and strong enough to keep S.H.I.E.L.D. under control, that organization would've been riddled with holes long ago!!

...

"Alaric… is he even human anymore?"

Steve stared at the sky in shock.

After sleeping for decades, he was barely keeping up with the world, and now an alien invasion, and Alaric like a god.

Steve felt like maybe he should've stayed frozen.

The world is terrifying!!

"He's a man from the magic side, it's normal he's like that," Natasha said while taking down a Chitauri, panting.

"Yeah, the magic side is crazy, I don't understand any of it," Steve shook his head and continued working.

...

"Is that your power, Alaric!?"

Amora stood on the rooftop of Stark Tower, watching Alaric who looked like a god, and her heart fluttered!

Amora had always believed that only the strongest deserved her!

Now she felt like she had found him!

"Loki?! Where are you… Amora!? Damn it!"

While Amora was watching Alaric, Thor suddenly landed.

When he saw Amora, he instantly bounced back, cursed, and flew off as fast as he could.

She was no joke!

Amora: …

"That's why I control you so easily… You're too weak."

Amora shook her head. Aside from Alaric, no man interested her anymore!

Not even Thor!!

...

"Master, master!! That's Alaric!!"

Clea jumped with excitement, pointing at the sky in the distance.

"I see," the Ancient One smiled gently.

Clea had good magical talent; she had already grasped a few basic spells.

But her personality was, to put it mildly, mischievous.

Luckily, the Ancient One had patience; anyone else would've gone mad long ago.

"Master, can you do that too!?" Clea asked hopefully.

"I can't," the Ancient One looked at Alaric's silhouette and sighed quietly.

"Ha?!"

Clea was speechless. Aren't you his teacher? Shouldn't you be stronger than him?!

"Alaric has already surpassed me. He is the strongest now."

...

High in the sky, Alaric raised his head, looked at the cleared sky, and nodded with satisfaction.

"That should give you a bit of a breather."

He was referring to the Avengers below.

Even though he could have immediately closed the portal, and even wiped out the Chitauri army on the other side, wouldn't that make everything too easy?

How would the Avengers temper themselves through fire, how would the whole world remain alert, if he solved everything with a single move?

So he removed most of the monsters and left the rest for the team below.

Then he expanded his perception and scanned everything around him.

"Hm? Gwen's here too?"

"Hm? And that guy… Peter?!"
