After Aggramar delivered that devastating blow, his pupils, flashing with a heart-pounding red light, silently turned towards the location of the Azeroth.
This dangerous gaze made everyone's hair stand on end. Jaina immediately gave the order without hesitation, "Survivors on the platform, retreat immediately!"
One after another, pillars of light from teleportation lit up on the copper platform, but Aggramar didn't even glance at them. He remained fixedly staring at the Azeroth. The death gaze from a Titan was enough to make any living being shiver, but the allied forces, after suffering a wave of losses, still maintained order and composure.
"He doesn't seem to intend to leave the Burning Throne."
Xal'atath noticed an interesting detail. Logically, their distance from the Burning Throne wasn't too far, and Aggramar could have easily pursued them. She didn't believe the spaceship's speed within the complex stellar core region could surpass that of a Titan.
However, Aggramar was like a statue; apart from the initial swing of his blade, he had no intention of pressing the attack, merely watching the spaceship gradually move away from the Burning Throne.
Eonar, who was more familiar with her own kind, finally made a judgment, "No, it's not that he doesn't want to pursue, but that the orders he received do not allow him to leave the Throne—someone has placed a binding on him."
The only being within the Burning Legion capable of imposing such a freedom-restricting binding on a Titan was Sargeras himself.
But what pained and shocked Eonar the most was that her once noble kin had been forcibly twisted by Sargeras into this current monstrous form. Seeing Aggramar's cracked metal body, Eonar could almost viscerally feel the pain of a soul being twisted and imprisoned within a grotesque body.
The Titan in charge of the power of life shivered. She did not want to become a puppet in Sargeras's hands either. "We should also be grateful that he is bound within the Burning Throne, otherwise we would have no way to deal with him..."
If Aggramar could fight without restraint, Eonar felt they would have no chance of victory at all. To defeat a Titan with the power of mortals, no matter how much Eonar favored the allied forces, she still thought it was a pipe dream.
But from the current situation, they were not without a chance.
"I can bestow a blessing upon you, allowing mortals to withstand Aggramar's destructive power for a short time. Although this cannot fully protect you, as long as you can avoid fatal attacks, the remaining damage will not be deadly."
Eonar proposed a solution, "While you tie down Aggramar, you must send another team to rescue the other trapped Titans. By combining their powers, we can defeat Aggramar and free his soul."
She could feel that Aggramar's soul was actually imprisoned within this corrupted body, and Aggramar, whose soul and body were not perfectly aligned, could not exert his full power. Moreover, as Aggramar's body's functions weakened, his soul might be able to resist Sargeras's will.
Jaina nodded after hearing Eonar's plan, "That's the only way. Is there anything else we need to pay attention to?"
"My power is not enough to help too many people resist Aggramar's destructive power. After all, he now has a physical body, while I only have a soul. Therefore, the number of people delaying Aggramar will not be too many. You need to choose the strongest among you to ensure the blessing's power can be maximized."
Eonar's addition did not exceed Jaina's expectations, and this also meant that for those chosen to directly confront Aggramar, this was very likely a one-way journey.
But before Jaina could answer, many resolute voices had already risen from the allied forces.
"Lady Proudmoore, this is enough!"
"As long as we are not instantly annihilated by the Fallen Titan's power, we can absolutely accomplish this task!"
Cheers rose and fell among the crowd. Even though they had just made great sacrifices on the platform, not a single person chose to flee at this moment.
The soldiers' eyes burned with the flame of will, brighter than the light in the Titan's eyes.
Jaina fell silent, her gaze and Eonar's will intersecting as if in a silent exchange.
Ten minutes later, a teleportation beacon was once again cast onto the platform in front of the Burning Throne, and as the beacon landed, Aggramar, who had been standing like a statue before the Throne, finally moved.
Every slight movement of his massive body produced a screeching sound like long-rusted metal grinding, as if his body was already severely damaged. Yet, it was this scarred body that stood before the allied forces like an insurmountable chasm.
The moment the teleportation light pillar lit up and the figures within gradually solidified, Aggramar swung his greatsword without hesitation. The flamboyant flames on the blade instantly spread out, sweeping forth with a world-destroying momentum.
However, this time his strike did not instantly wipe out the 'insects' in his eyes. Amidst the golden light was a hint of vibrant green life-light. Several Paladins gritted their teeth, holding up tower shields, standing at the very front of the team.
The destructive flames burned their metal shields red. At this point, the high temperature on the shields could probably instantly char flesh, but under Eonar's blessing, the mortal warriors survived Aggramar's attack for the first time.
When Holy Light and flames eroded each other until the flames finally dissipated, leaving only scorching air that seemed to distort space, the Paladins finally let out a long breath, not even caring about the pain of the hot air in their throats, and their faces broke into excited expressions.
"We blocked it!"
Those on the ship also noticed this. Although they looked disheveled, they had indeed survived Aggramar's assault!
Even Aggramar showed confusion at the mere survival of the mortals before him, which caused his movements to slow for a moment. And in that brief period, the fully charged cannons of the Azeroth roared again.
This time, the ship's target was only Aggramar. As high-energy ammunition, powerful enough to tear apart a titan construct, rained down on him, the Titan still did not dodge or evade. The powerful cannonballs and beams seemed as harmless as raindrops when they landed on him, not even causing his body to tremble slightly.
However, they had already anticipated this. It didn't matter that the cannon fire couldn't harm Aggramar, but the energy fluctuations generated when these cannons hit, according to Eonar, were completely sufficient to briefly confuse a Titan's sight and hearing.
Just as they had initially expected, Aggramar, after being bombarded by cannon fire, made no significant moves. He seemed to be patiently waiting for the cannon fire to dissipate, as these cannons could not truly harm him in any meaningful way.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, led by Jaina, several Archmages braved the chaotic energy field and forcefully opened a teleportation portal behind Aggramar.
Under the cover of cannon fire, another group successfully bypassed Aggramar and entered behind the copper-colored great door. Their mission was to release the Titans from their cages while those outside delayed Aggramar!
