The group accompanied by Elena and Charles rushed through the underground passage. Their footsteps echoed through the narrow tunnel as they moved toward the exit, and the guards kept looking behind them while making sure that no one was following.
They had almost reached the end when the man in front suddenly slammed into something.
BANG!
His body bounced backward and fell heavily onto the ground. The people behind him immediately stopped, and Charles nearly collided with the person in front of him.
"What's going on?" Charles asked in shock.
The man slowly got back up. He looked confused as he reached forward and touched the empty space in front of him. His hand stopped as if it had touched a solid wall.
He moved his palm around and tried to find an opening, but there was nothing.
After feeling the surface for a few moments, his expression suddenly changed.
"Barrier... It's a Barrier out there!"
"Whattttt?"
The others stared at him in disbelief.
