Chapter 96 - Teasing Kakashi

Chapter 96: Teasing Kakashi

"Tsunade, is that brat really going to be alright?" Sakumo asked, his voice laced with concern as he looked at the unconscious Yusuke.

"He's fine. Just extreme exhaustion. Still... I can't believe it," Tsunade muttered heavily. "Even with that much chakra, plus mine on top of it, we both ended up completely drained."

"No surprise. That surgery was beyond what anyone could imagine," Sakumo whispered, letting out a long sigh.

Moments later, Yusuke's eyelids fluttered open.

"Looks like... it worked, huh?" he said softly, glancing at his father—whose very presence now seemed detached from the natural flow of time.

"Yes. It did," Sakumo replied quietly, a strange mix of gratitude and disbelief in his tone.

"You reckless idiot! You didn't say it would drain you this badly!" Tsunade suddenly snapped, her voice sharp as she clenched her fists. If anything had gone wrong...

"Haha... I didn't think it'd be that bad either," Yusuke replied with an awkward chuckle. He reached out to pat her head, but Tsunade immediately smacked his hand away with force.

Truth was, he had predicted the energy consumption would be immense. But not to the point of nearly passing out cold—even with a stamina pool comparable to Hashirama's, boosted by multiple Devil Fruits.

Now he understood why the Perpetual Youth Surgery was considered a forbidden technique. If Trafalgar Law had attempted it in One Piece... well, it would've cost him his life. It all made sense.

"Dad... don't tell Kakashi about any of this, okay? There's no need for him to know—at least not right now."

"I understand." Sakumo nodded. He knew the weight of this secret and had no intention of dragging Kakashi into it.

"Well then, looks like you'll be heading home alone today. I've got absolutely zero energy left in me," Yusuke said with a tired grin, returning to his usual laid-back tone.

"Hmph. I can walk on my own," Sakumo replied curtly, already turning to leave.

Now that he knew Yusuke was alright, he could finally relax. Yusuke, meanwhile, shamelessly let Tsunade tend to him without a hint of embarrassment.

A week later, Yusuke had fully recovered.

He decided to visit the two Uchiha boys and made his way to the clan district. Along the way, he passed several Uchiha clan members—each nodding at him respectfully.

He knew exactly why they treated him this way... and he didn't blame them.

Eventually, he arrived at one of the training fields and saw exactly what he expected—Itachi and Shisui, hard at work.

"Knew it. Still training, huh?" Yusuke murmured from a distance, quietly observing their sparring. Their growth was undeniable.

Their talent was immense—but in the shinobi world, talent alone wasn't enough. You needed ambition, real strength, and the will to wield it.

With a small sigh, he approached.

The boys noticed him immediately and ran over with bright smiles.

"Yusuke-nii!"

"Yusuke-nii!"

"Looks like you two have been working hard. Your chakra feels stronger," Yusuke said with a small nod.

The boys blushed at the praise.

"Well, since I'm here, I might as well teach you something. Pay attention," Yusuke said, stepping forward.

He raised one leg, and with a sharp movement, unleashed Rankyaku—a slicing air blade that shot forward in a perfect arc. Then he followed it up with demonstrations of the remaining Rokushiki techniques, each one faster and sharper than the last.

"…That's it. Got it?" he asked, glancing at them.

The two nodded furiously and immediately began imitating the movements. But even with his modifications, Rokushiki still demanded peak physical control and chakra mastery. It wasn't easy.

"These techniques require serious physical discipline and chakra control. Focus on strengthening your bodies first. Don't rush," Yusuke said, voice firm.

"Yes, Yusuke-nii!" both replied in unison.

"And one more thing—don't get carried away. I know you're both geniuses, but your bodies aren't ready for that level of power yet."

"Ehh? Then what should we do?" they asked, confused.

"Simple. Take your time. Focus on your fundamentals. Don't rush to graduate the Academy. Build your foundation first—speed isn't everything," Yusuke explained.

"But... didn't you and Kakashi-senpai both graduate early? You even became a Chūnin in under a year," Shisui asked, tilting his head.

"…You little brat. Just listen to me and don't argue!" Yusuke lightly bonked him on the head.

He had to admit, he did graduate early because he was tempted by the system. And Kakashi? He had followed suit even earlier.

"Back then, Kakashi and I were raised during wartime. You're different. Enjoy the peace while it lasts," Yusuke said, softening his tone.

"Alright, enough talk. Let's train."

Yusuke led them through another round of Ninjutsu and Taijutsu drills, refining their movements and offering detailed feedback.

After the training, Yusuke returned home.

He'd heard that Kakashi had finally returned from his mission and was resting. It had been a while since he'd seen his younger brother.

Sure enough, when he arrived, Kakashi was lounging on the porch, face hidden behind his book.

"Kakashi. How've you been feeling lately?"

"Fine. I've been handling a lot of missions lately... I think my skills are improving too," Kakashi replied without looking up.

"Good. By the way, your future sister-in-law and I are heading out soon. We'll be traveling across the ninja world, so we won't be back for a while," Yusuke said nonchalantly.

"Oh? Which sister-in-law this time?" Kakashi asked flatly, peeking over his book. "Traveling the world, huh? Just say you're going on a honeymoon."

"You little punk. Talking back to your older brother now, huh?" Yusuke smirked and immediately messed up Kakashi's hair. Kakashi tried to resist but was easily overpowered.

There's an old saying: If life's gonna overpower you, and you can't fight back... then you might as well enjoy it. Harsh as it sounded, Kakashi was living proof of its wisdom.

Once he'd had enough fun teasing him, Yusuke finally said, "Hey, do you have any missions coming up?"

"Nope. Minato-sensei told me to take some time off and rest."

Yusuke nodded. "Perfect. Starting tomorrow, I'll be training you—intensively. And I'll teach you a new technique."

"A new technique…?" Kakashi's eyes lit up. He was already at Jōnin-level, so anything Yusuke had to offer must've been something special.

"Tomorrow. Rest today. This one's gonna be tough. You'll need to be at your absolute best—physically and mentally."

Yusuke grinned to himself, seeing Kakashi's frustrated pout.

This little brother of his…

He may be a genius, but when it came to handling Yusuke—

He was always outmatched.
