The entire arena froze. No one could comprehend what they had just witnessed.
Hatake Yusuke—the man standing calmly in the middle of the Chūnin Exam field—had just defied the Hokage himself.
Several ANBU, unaware of who he truly was, immediately leapt forward, kunai drawn, chakra flaring.
But before they could even reach him, Yusuke sighed softly and removed the black band that covered his eyes. A faint, almost lazy smile appeared on his lips.
And then—silence.
The five ANBU vanished. Not a trace left behind. No blood, no screams, no bodies. It was as if they had never existed.
Hiashi Hyūga swallowed hard, his Byakugan activating instinctively. "Such terrifying power…" he whispered. Even from this distance, his instincts screamed danger. Yusuke hadn't even moved.
"Listen carefully," Yusuke said, his voice calm yet heavy with authority. "This boy's name is Uzumaki Naruto. The son of the Fourth Hokage—Namikaze Minato—and the previous Kyūbi Jinchūriki, Uzumaki Kushina."
For a second, no one breathed.
"The son… of the Fourth Hokage?" Genma Shiranui stammered, the senbon slipping from his lips and clattering against the floor.
Every face in the crowd shifted from confusion to disbelief.
"Naruto… the Hokage's son?" Sakura gasped.
They had always thought of him as the class clown—the orphan troublemaker with no parents. The idea that he was that man's son… it was unthinkable.
"I'm… the son of the Fourth Hokage?" Naruto muttered blankly, his voice trembling. "A hero's son?"
The arena erupted into chaos.
"That brat's the Fourth's kid?"
"No way…!"
"But he's the Kyūbi's vessel!"
"Then the Fourth's son was treated like this?!"
Even those who had been struck down earlier by Yusuke's fury seemed stunned.
Yusuke's eyes narrowed. "Now tell me, Hokage-sama… Do they deserve forgiveness?" His tone sharpened with each word. "Minato-nii sacrificed his life for this village, and this is how you repay him? By treating his son like trash? You people truly don't know your place."
The killing intent behind his voice made the air itself tremble.
"This… this is my fault," Hiruzen Sarutobi finally said, lowering his head. His tone was heavy with regret.
Yusuke turned toward the Hyūga section, his golden gaze settling on Neji. "And you… child of the Hyūga Clan. Don't hide behind the word fate. Every injustice in this world stems from one's own weakness. When your father was in danger, what did you do?"
Neji froze, his throat tightening.
Sasuke, watching from above, clenched his fists. Those words pierced straight into him as well.
"Nii-san…" Kakashi's voice was quiet but tense. He knew this wasn't just anger—Yusuke was deliberately forcing truths into the open.
"Enough," Yusuke said at last. He turned away from the stunned crowd, his tone returning to its usual lightness. "Since Sasuke's here, let's continue. The next match can start."
He disappeared in an instant and reappeared beside Tsunade, who crossed her arms with a scowl.
"Are you sure about this?" she asked.
"Relax," Yusuke replied, smiling faintly. "That boy has the heart of Minato-nii. He'll endure. I believe in him."
The tournament resumed, though no one's heart was truly in it. The revelation about Naruto still lingered like a ghost over everyone's mind.
But as Sasuke's match reached its climax, something strange happened. White feathers began drifting down from the sky—gentle, beautiful… and deadly.
Within seconds, most of the audience had fallen under a powerful Genjutsu.
And then—chaos erupted once more.
The Kazekage suddenly lunged toward the Hokage's seat. A barrier of purple flames rose instantly, sealing them inside.
In that moment, his face began to peel away—revealing the pale, snake-like features of Orochimaru.
"Orochimaru…" Hiruzen said quietly. There was no shock in his tone—only grim recognition.
Outside, a gigantic serpent crashed through the village walls, devouring everything in its path. The Konoha shinobi struggled to respond, while inside the arena, Gaara's breathing grew erratic—his control over the Shukaku weakening.
"Kankurō! Temari! Take Gaara and get out of here!" Pakura commanded sharply.
Sasuke didn't hesitate. "He's mine."
He darted after them, lightning chakra flickering around his hand.
Kakashi, seeing the chaos unfold, called out, "Naruto! Shikamaru! Go after them—now!"
As they sprinted off, Tsunade turned toward Yusuke, her voice edged with irritation. "What about you, huh? Are you just going to stand there?"
Yusuke smirked, putting his sunglasses back on. "Relax. Orochimaru won't win against the Third. I just want to enjoy the show for a bit. You handle the battlefield. As for Orochimaru…" He chuckled softly. "Leave him to me."
Tsunade glared but said nothing. She knew better than to argue with him.

"Long time no see, sensei…" Orochimaru hissed, his tongue flicking unnaturally.
"Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique!"
Dozens of shuriken exploded into the air, raining toward Orochimaru like a storm.
"How naïve. Hidden Shadow Snake Hands!"
Serpents shot from his sleeves, deflecting the blades effortlessly. One of them lunged and bit through Hiruzen's neck—only for the body to dissolve into mud.
"Earth Release: Earth Flow River!"
A stream of mud surged beneath Orochimaru, sweeping him off balance.
"Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet!"
The ground rippled and a dragon's head of packed soil emerged, firing hardened projectiles in rapid succession.
"Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique!"
Flames spiraled into the attack, combining both elements in perfect harmony. The two elemental dragons collided in a roaring blast that consumed half the rooftop.
"Tch…" Orochimaru clicked his tongue, his grin twisting. "You're serious this time, Sarutobi-sensei."

Hundreds of shuriken filled the air once again—clashing, colliding, turning the sky into a metallic storm. Then both shinobi closed the distance, trading blows in pure taijutsu.
Their speed was almost beyond sight.
"Hah… A duel between teacher and student," Yusuke mused from afar, watching with amusement. "Even now, the old man's still testing him. How nostalgic."
The battle raged on. Hiruzen's experience and technique began to overwhelm Orochimaru, whose borrowed body was clearly deteriorating.
And then—
"Summoning Jutsu: Edo Tensei!"
The ground split open as three coffins rose ominously from the earth.
"No…!" Hiruzen shouted, flashing through seals to stop the third. The final coffin halted mid-summon, sealing itself before opening.
Orochimaru smiled thinly. "Even if the Fourth had appeared, I could handle it. After all, I've already killed the Kazekage. But the First and Second… they'll be enough."
The lids of the remaining coffins fell open—revealing the First and Second Hokage.
"Shodai-sama… Nidaime-sama?" gasped an ANBU watching from the barrier. "What kind of nightmare is this…?"
"That's the Edo Tensei," another ANBU explained grimly. "A forbidden technique that summons the dead. Created by the Second Hokage himself. It uses human sacrifices as vessels for their souls."
Outside the barrier, Kakashi and Might Guy arrived at the rooftop, having dealt with the chaos below.
"The Third's situation looks bad," Kakashi said quietly.
Yusuke didn't look away. "Bad? Hardly. Even at a fraction of their strength, those two are legends. But the old man's still got some fight left."
Kakashi's hand went to the hilt of Ame-no-Habakiri. "Then we'll help him."
"No," Yusuke said, smiling faintly. "Not yet. There are… a few things I'd like to discuss with Orochimaru myself."
Guy frowned. "And what's that supposed to mean?"
Yusuke turned, his golden eye gleaming behind his glasses. "Relax. He's my brother-in-law's teacher. I won't let him die." His tone softened—then twisted into something darker. "But that doesn't mean I'll let him walk away without learning a lesson."
Lightning flashed across the sky as the barrier trembled.
The real battle was only just beginning.
