Chapter 152 – Battle Against the First and Second Hokage
"Maha-Divine Form."
Hatake Yusuke's eyes shifted, the pale light of his blue Rinnegan blooming like twin stars.
It was his exclusive Dojutsu—an evolved technique born from merging the essence of the Rinnegan. The ability allowed him to erase all negative effects, completely purifying the state of any being he targeted.
Before the eyes of everyone present, the layers of dust and soil that covered the faces of Senju Hashirama and Senju Tobirama began to crumble away. Flesh, color, and warmth returned to their skin. Even their once lifeless eyes regained their original spark—alive, clear, and radiant with purpose.
"Am I… alive again?" Tobirama murmured, startled as he felt the pulse of life surge through his veins once more.
"Not completely," Yusuke replied evenly. "This technique temporarily restores your body to a living state. But if I truly wanted to bring you back to life... that wouldn't be impossible either."
"There's no need," Hashirama said with a faint, peaceful smile. "We've already lived our time. If we linger too long in this world, we'll only disturb the natural balance."
Yusuke shrugged, lips curving into a sharper grin. "Fair enough. But before that—allow me to see for myself the legendary strength of the two Hokage. After all, I went through quite some trouble to bring you both back."
Hashirama chuckled. "I see… if that's your wish, then I'll humor you."
"Ehh?! Grandpa?! And… Great-Granduncle?!" Tsunade's eyes widened in disbelief.
Her voice trembled as she stared at the two men standing before her—men who should have been long dead.
"Hahaha! Tsuna-chan, is that you? You've grown so much! Wonderful, wonderful!" Hashirama's face broke into a bright grin, no longer the empty mask of Edo Tensei.
"Grandfather… Great-Granduncle… what in the world is happening here?" Tsunade asked, completely overwhelmed.
"It's… a little complicated," Hashirama said awkwardly, scratching the back of his head in his familiar way.
"Allow me," Tobirama interjected dryly. "That boy, Orochimaru, used Edo Tensei to resurrect us. But your husband," his gaze flicked to Yusuke, "used some ability of his to restore our bodies temporarily to their living state."
"Great-Granduncle… I—" Tsunade's expression softened, but her composure didn't last long. Her golden eyes flared with fury as she turned toward Orochimaru.
"Orochimaru! How dare you toy with my grandfather's soul!"
"Heh… Tsunade," Orochimaru replied calmly, unbothered by her rage. "I merely wished to witness, firsthand, the might of the two legendary Hokage."
"Tsuna-chan," Hashirama said gently, turning to her. "Your husband seems to have a fighting spirit like Madara's… he's the kind who never knows when to hold back. Do me a favor and keep him from going too far."
"Haha, relax, Tsunade," Yusuke said, his grin widening. "Step back for now. I've been itching for a real fight."
Excitement radiated from him like a living flame.
"Very well," Tsunade said with a resigned sigh. "Everyone—fall back immediately. Create a dimensional barrier."
"Barrier—Infinite Void!"
A transparent crystal dome shimmered into existence, isolating the battlefield completely from the outside world.
Tobirama frowned. That woman trusted this man that much? Perhaps the boy really was worthy of it.
Hashirama's instincts, on the other hand, were already screaming in warning. The aura emanating from Yusuke was unlike anything he had ever felt—even Madara's presence hadn't been this sharp.
"Well then," Hashirama said, stretching his arms with a grin. "Let's see if my body still remembers how to fight."
"Good," Yusuke replied, smiling confidently. "Give me everything you've got. Don't worry… I won't lose."
He removed his sunglasses, letting them fall to the ground, and locked eyes with the two Senju brothers.
"Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique!" Tobirama unleashed the first strike, a massive water dragon roaring toward Yusuke.
"Flame Fist!"
Yusuke's arm ignited with searing fire as he punched forward. The blazing fist collided with the water dragon mid-air, steam exploding in all directions as the two elements annihilated each other.
"Impressive. A true master of Water Release, huh?" Yusuke said with a small smile.
"Then let's turn up the heat—Flame of Ten Thousand Aspects!"
A torrent of fire erupted from Yusuke's body, flooding the entire battlefield in crimson flames.
"Water Release: Multiple Water Dragon Bullets!"
Ten dragons formed around Tobirama, crashing into the sea of fire. Steam enveloped everything in a dense white mist.
"Wood Release: Wooden Stake Wall!"
A gigantic wall of intertwined roots rose before Hashirama, blocking the heat waves.
"Brother, I can handle this on my own!" Tobirama snapped.
"Hahaha, fine, fine," Hashirama said, scratching his head again.
"You're underestimating me," Yusuke said with a calm smile. "Then allow me to show you what speed really means."
He raised his hand. "Speed is weight. Have either of you ever felt the kick of light itself?"
Before they could react, Yusuke vanished—his body transforming into a streak of golden radiance.
The air cracked as he appeared behind Hashirama, his kick landing faster than sound. The ground split beneath the shockwave. Tobirama barely dodged in time, appearing beside his brother with Flying Thunder God.
"He's fast… faster than you, Tobirama," Hashirama said gravely.
And then, as they watched, the wounds Hashirama had sustained closed almost instantly.
"It's not over yet. Yasaka no Magatama!"
Yusuke's body scattered into luminous particles, then reformed above them as dozens of golden orbs rained down like meteors.
"Here, Tobirama!" Hashirama shouted.
"Wood Release: Ranking Pillar Technique!"
A massive wooden monument rose from the earth, absorbing the cascade of light. Though it cracked under the impact, it regenerated almost immediately.
"Wood Release: All-Encompassing Hand!"
Giant wooden hands erupted from the ground, reaching for Yusuke.
But he merely floated in midair, smiling as if amused.
"What's wrong, Brother?" Tobirama asked, sensing Hashirama's tension.
"That boy… is dangerous," Hashirama said quietly.
The next instant, Yusuke's power flared, shattering all the wooden hands with a single burst of energy.
"Ultra Rasengan Storm!"
He launched forward, an enormous Rasengan swirling in his hand like a small sun.
"Summoning Technique: Fivefold Rashōmon!"
Five massive demonic gates materialized in front of him—but they shattered instantly under the force of Yusuke's Rasengan.
"Wood Release: Wood Dragon Technique!"
A colossal wooden dragon surged forward, devouring the Rasengan and absorbing its chakra.
"Wood Release: Deep Forest Emergence!"
Hashirama's chakra exploded outward, trees sprouting wildly as they spread toward Yusuke.
"I can't reach him… something's blocking me," Hashirama muttered.
"I'll try," Tobirama said. "Flying Thunder God Slash!"
He appeared right beside Yusuke—only for his blade to stop five centimeters away, as if hitting an invisible barrier.
"This isn't a shield…" Tobirama whispered. "It's something else."
"Water Release: Severing Wave!"
Another slash of compressed water shot forth, but even that failed to touch him. A full minute passed, and Tobirama returned to his brother's side, shaking his head.
"Well?" Hashirama asked.
"It's not a barrier—it's some kind of spatial distortion. He appears close, but in reality, he's extremely far away. How far, I don't know yet."
"Then how about an area attack?" Hashirama suggested.
"Wood Release: Flower Tree World Bloom!"
Gigantic flowers blossomed around the battlefield, releasing golden pollen that filled the air with a narcotic haze.
"Impressive," Yusuke said, clapping lightly. "You analyzed my technique, Limitless, in under a minute. But I'm afraid your pollen won't work."
"Tsunade-nee," Kakashi called, his expression tense. "What exactly is Nii-san's ability?"
Tsunade folded her arms, watching the golden glow surrounding her husband. "There's no need to worry. He's invincible."
"Invincible?" Kakashi frowned.
"Limitless," Tsunade explained. "It's a space-based technique he created himself. Even I don't fully understand it."
Shikaku, who had silently joined them, added, "Tobirama was close, but he missed one detail. It's not just space manipulation."
Kakashi turned toward him. "Then what is it?"
"The space around his body isn't merely warped—it's infinite. The closer you try to get, the greater the resistance. You can move toward him forever, but you'll never actually reach him."
Tsunade nodded. "Exactly. The only way to bridge that infinite distance…"
"…is to use infinity itself," Shikaku finished.
And on the battlefield, as the First and Second Hokage realized the same truth, Hatake Yusuke's golden aura intensified—his calm smile reflecting the boundless void that surrounded him.
