Chapter 212 – The Conqueror
"Nii-san, lately I've been feeling something strange," Kakashi said, his expression clouded with uncertainty. "When I was fighting Naruto, there were moments when it felt as though… he just couldn't die."
"Hahaha… That's not just your imagination," Yusuke replied with a faint laugh. "You already know, don't you? Naruto's lineage and origin aren't as simple as they seem."
"I guess… but Naruto's just the son of my sensei, Minato-sensei, right? If we're talking about bloodlines, Kushina-nee, being a pure-blooded Uzumaki, should've been much stronger than him, shouldn't she?" Kakashi said, still puzzled—especially since Naruto didn't even have the distinctive red hair of the Uzumaki clan.
"It's not that simple…" Yusuke replied calmly. "That boy will one day surpass many people. I dare say, even the Founder of this Village—the First Hokage himself—might lose to him. Reaching the level of a Super Kage is inevitable."
"You really think so highly of him, Nii-san? But… Super Kage level? Isn't that pushing it a bit too far?" Kakashi asked, his tone half in disbelief.
"He's not an ordinary person, Kakashi. Naruto's more like me… than you," Yusuke said with a small smile tugging at his lips.
"You mean… he could reach your level?" Kakashi asked, his eyes widening in shock.
To him, Hatake Yusuke was an untouchable existence—a god of the battlefield. If Naruto ever reached that realm, he wouldn't just be a hero. He'd be a legend.
"Hahaha! Don't get the wrong idea. No matter how strong he becomes, he'll never surpass me. I am… the strongest," Yusuke said, his face radiating absolute confidence.
Kakashi nodded slowly. He knew his brother too well. To anyone else, that statement might sound unbearably arrogant—but Kakashi knew Yusuke had earned the right to say it.
In the world of shinobi, he was a being beyond measure.
Even Might Guy, with seven Inner Gates open, had fallen easily before Yusuke—who hadn't even bothered to draw his blade.
Over time, Kakashi's own mindset began to resemble that of his older brother. The difference was that he still had a goal to chase.
Yusuke, on the other hand, already stood at the peak of the world—waiting for someone strong enough to reach him, to challenge him with everything they had.
Kakashi secretly wished that someday… that person would be him.
Though he often complained about Yusuke's brutal training, Kakashi always endured it. In truth, he even trained on his own afterward, pushing himself further.
Yusuke cared deeply for his little brother, and Kakashi, in turn, held a profound respect for him.
The only way to repay that bond… was to become stronger than anyone else—to earn his brother's acknowledgment through sheer strength.
"What are you thinking about?" Yusuke asked, patting Kakashi's shoulder. "Naruto and the others seem to be in a tight spot. You're not planning to help?"
"Don't worry. They can still hold on. Besides," Kakashi replied with a faint smile, "I've prepared a little surprise for Naruto. Something he's been training for."
"Oh? You mean… combining Rasengan with Chakra nature transformation?" Yusuke said knowingly.
"Huh? You knew about that, Nii-san?" Kakashi stared at him, half-exasperated, half-incredulous.
"Of course. That's basic stuff. If someone trains seriously enough, it's not that hard to master," Yusuke said casually. "So, which version do you want to see? I can use Rasengan with all five basic nature transformations. Even beyond them, if I want."
For Yusuke, manipulating Chakra was second nature.
After all, the Infinity Technique demanded absolute control over it.
And with his near-immortal body and limitless Chakra reserves, what others deemed Forbidden Jutsu were nothing more than warm-up exercises for him.
He could throw hundreds of Wind Release: Rasenshuriken without tiring or pausing—even treating it as a simple sparring move.
"Nii-san… why didn't you tell me that before?" Kakashi said, his tone almost bitter.
He'd spent so much time breaking down the Rasengan concept for Naruto, explaining every detail and adjusting his methods just so the boy could grasp it.
"You never asked," Yusuke replied flatly.
"How was I supposed to know you could use Rasengan with every element? You've never even used it once!" Kakashi protested, sounding ready to pull his hair out.
"Why would I bother? The destructive power's too low, and it requires pinpoint precision to be effective. Even if I spammed it as a wide-area attack, it's still too much of a hassle," Yusuke said nonchalantly.
"I'd rather just unleash a lava burst once. That's equal to a hundred Rasenshuriken."
Still, deep inside, Yusuke couldn't help but smirk at the thought. A Rasengan the size of a mountain… now that would be interesting.
The shock factor alone would be enough to make any opponent despair—a perfect little display of dominance. His cunning mind couldn't help but indulge in the idea.
Meanwhile, on the battlefield, Naruto charged at Kakuzu, his Wind Release: Rasenshuriken spinning violently in his hand.
Catching Kakuzu off-guard, the attack obliterated two of his hearts—but at a great cost. The technique's recoil tore through Naruto's own arm, shredding it with microscopic wind blades.
The others were completely exhausted, barely standing.
Kakuzu, now enraged, had only one goal left—killing Naruto.
Seeing this, Kakashi tensed, ready to intervene.
"Leave it to me," Yusuke said, smiling faintly. "I just thought of a fun experiment."
A Rasengan began to form in his hand.
Kakashi immediately pressed a hand to his forehead, sighing in dread. He knew what that look meant—something absurd was about to happen. All he could do was silently pray for their enemies.
In the blink of an eye, Yusuke vanished from the ground and appeared high above the battlefield, standing effortlessly in midair.
"Yusuke-sensei!"
"Yusuke-sensei!"
"Uncle Yusuke!"
Voices rang out across the battlefield—shock, relief, and awe all mixed together.
Meanwhile, Hidan and Kakuzu froze in terror. Their eyes widened, trembling with pure instinctive fear.
"Long time no see, you two," Yusuke greeted politely.
"Now then… I happen to be testing a new technique. Mind helping me with the trial?"
He slowly raised his hand toward the sky.
Above his palm, the Rasengan began to grow—and grow.
Naruto, watching from the ground, stared with wide eyes. "A Rasengan? No way… Is that a Giant Rasengan Barrage?"
But Yusuke didn't stop.
The orb of swirling energy expanded to the size of a grown man in mere seconds.
Then it kept growing—until it loomed like a small mountain, radiating pressure that made the very air tremble.
Seeing the colossal sphere pulsing with raw energy, Yusuke nodded in satisfaction.
Its destructive force… should be stronger than yours, Ace, he thought amusedly.
"That's… a Rasengan?" Naruto muttered, completely stunned.
He'd spent two grueling years mastering the Giant Rasengan—and yet, compared to what stood before him now, he felt no larger than an insect before a god.
