Chapter 270 – Can Yusuke-senpai Take Off His Eye Cover?

"That's right. Even though I don't know what they'll use to stop me, I'm sure they'll find a way when the time comes," Yusuke said calmly.

"Then what do you mean by a turning point?" Sakumo asked, curiosity clear in his voice.

"Isn't that exactly the peace you've always hoped for?" Yusuke replied.

"When an entirely new enemy appears, and the great ninja villages—once hostile to one another—are forced to unite. If this war is won, the ninja world may enjoy peace for a long time. It might even grow together through cooperation."

Hearing that, everyone slowly nodded.

Only Kakashi sank into deep thought.

The peace of the ninja world wasn't what troubled him most. What truly shocked him was the fact that there existed something—or someone—capable of stopping Yusuke.

No one noticed Kakashi's reaction.

They all knew that aside from Yusuke himself, the person who understood Yusuke's strength best was Kakashi. Those words had clearly stirred a sense of crisis in his heart.

After everyone went to rest, Kakashi called for Yusuke.

"Nii-san," Kakashi said, his expression a little heavy as he looked at him.

"What is it? Why aren't you asleep yet?" Yusuke asked with an amused smile. "Is it because the war's about to start? Feeling nervous?"

"Is there really someone who can stop you?" Kakashi asked seriously.

Throughout his life, Kakashi's greatest wish had been to surpass his older brother. In his heart, his brother was the strongest. He didn't believe anyone could stop him. Maybe it was obsession—Kakashi didn't want anyone in this world to surpass his brother.

"Hahaha, you really are a kid," Yusuke laughed, ruffling Kakashi's hair.

Sakumo, who also hadn't gone to sleep yet, saw the scene. A flicker of memory passed through his eyes—Yusuke in the past, his body covered in wounds, comforting a crying young Kakashi. In the blink of an eye, both of them had grown up, yet so many things remained unchanged.

"I won't lose," Yusuke said calmly. "In this world, there is no one who can be my opponent."

"Kakashi," Yusuke continued, smiling gently as he patted his shoulder, "while I'm gone, protect them well. And protect yourself."

"I understand, Nii-san," Kakashi said with confidence. "In this ninja world, aside from you, I won't lose to anyone."

"Alright, go back inside and rest," Yusuke said.

Kakashi nodded and returned to the house.

"Black Zetsu, Obito, Uchiha Madara… what other methods do you have?" Yusuke smiled faintly, not a trace of fear in his eyes—only anticipation.

Time passed quickly.

The next morning, Naruto departed with Guy and Yamato toward the Land of Lightning, heading for Kumogakure's Valley of Clouds and Lightning. At the same time, Tsunade and the Kage of the various villages began formulating strategies for the Fourth Great Ninja War.

"Hatake Yusuke, you'll be taking Kakashi to Sunagakure shortly," Tsunade said in a serious tone.

"Understood," Yusuke replied with lifeless, fish-like eyes.

Since morning, Tsunade had been dragging him around as a means of transportation. After all, in the entire ninja world, only a handful of people truly mastered space-time ninjutsu.

After that, Yusuke brought Kakashi toward the Sand Village.

"Nii-san, you don't have to make that face just to escort me," Kakashi said, looking at Yusuke's utterly dejected expression. "Besides, you're not busy anyway, right?"

"Ah, you don't understand," Yusuke said with a face full of regret. "Today is the release day for Kikufuku's new product."

"Nii-san," Kakashi said, trying to comfort him,

"Right now, Kumogakure is on full alert. Almost all logistics are being sent to the front lines. There probably won't be any new products."

"Damn it!" Yusuke looked utterly defeated.

"This is the final release, and it's a limited edition commemorating the first anniversary. Limited edition, you know? Once it's gone, it'll never be eaten again!"

Seeing Yusuke's unstable emotions, Kakashi immediately fell silent. He was worried that if he provoked his brother any further, he'd end up getting beaten. As a captain, showing up with bruises all over his face definitely wouldn't help his authority.

"Ahem… Yusuke-senpai," a voice suddenly spoke up. "The sweets in Sunagakure are actually quite famous across many countries. Their reputation is even higher than those from the Land of Lightning."

"Really?!" Yusuke's eyes instantly lit up.

In the blink of an eye, he was already in front of the speaker, tightly grasping her hands with excitement. "Temari, you're truly a good person! Hurry and take me there!"

"E-eh?" Temari looked a little flustered, a faint blush rising to her cheeks.

"Temari, you deal with him," Pakura said, glaring at Yusuke.

"I'll handle the handover myself this time."

"Alright, Pakura-sensei," Temari said happily.

"Thanks, little Pakura," Yusuke said, waving his hand.

"You bastard! I'm obviously older than you!" Pakura roared angrily.

"Jonin Pakura, Nii-san is just like that. Please don't take it to heart," Kakashi said, covering his face.

"Hmph," Pakura snorted coldly. If it weren't for this great war, she would never want to meet that man again in her entire life.

Meanwhile, Yusuke had already taken Temari toward a sweets shop.

"It's been so long, little Temari. Why aren't we there yet?" Yusuke asked. "By the way, why is Sunagakure so big?"

Temari fell silent.

She knew very well that the old Sunagakure had once been destroyed by the man standing in front of her.

After that, her father rebuilt the village across a wider, more spread-out area to prevent a similar catastrophe from happening again.

"Well then," Yusuke said when Temari didn't answer, "you point the way. We'll speed things up."

"A-ah… Yusuke-senpai, over there," Temari said as she pointed in a direction, her voice hesitant. In truth, she wanted to walk with Yusuke a little longer.

"Oh?" Yusuke lifted his eye cover slightly and glanced ahead.

"Looks good. Let's go, little Temari."

In an instant, he brought Temari with him as they shifted locations.

"Is this the place?" Yusuke asked.

"Yes," Temari nodded.

"Boss, bring out all the best sweet snacks you have," Yusuke said.

S-sir, I'm very sorry. Our products have a purchase limit," the shop owner said cautiously.

"A limit?"

"That just means the quality is extraordinary," Yusuke said in satisfaction.

"Boss, do as he says," Temari added.

"T-Temari-sama?! Alright! I'll prepare everything immediately!" Once he recognized Temari, the shop owner's attitude changed instantly as he hurried to the back.

"Not bad, little Temari," Yusuke said with a smile.

"It seems Sunagakure's system is pretty good. Unlike Kumogakure—its Raikage doesn't even seem clear about his goals, and he hesitates far too much."

Hearing that, Temari's face reddened. She felt a little nervous, thinking to herself,

"Was I too awkward just now?"

"What are you thinking about?" Yusuke asked.

"Nothing," Temari replied.

"Yusuke-senpai, since we're eating… could you maybe take off your eye cover?" Temari asked hesitantly. "Wouldn't eating like that be uncomfortable?"

"Oh, you're right," Yusuke said.

He turned his head slightly, then decided to remove the cover from his eyes.

On the outside, Temari's expression remained calm.

But inside her heart—

"Yes! I finally get to see Yusuke-senpai's face properly! Amazing… this is the first time I've seen his full face. Even before, when he wore sunglasses, he was already so cool…"

Temari smiled softly to herself.
