Hazel's POV
My heart raced with worry as I paced back and forth, unable to shake off the feeling of dread that had settled in the pit of my stomach. His eyes had turned cold, his voice laced with a venomous anger, and his actions were driven by a singular purpose which was nothing but to confront Liam.
He had turned away from me and left immediately without saying a word. I could tell that he didn't want me to see him this way.
I couldn't just sit and wait, helpless and idle, as Colton marched towards a fate that I feared would be his downfall. The thought of losing him, of seeing him hurt or worse, was unbearable. So, I made the decision to follow him, to track him down and try to reason with him, to bring him back from the brink of destruction or better still, to support and save him from whatever he mightface there.
