Chapter 305 - TDP Chapter 303: Hero Association vs. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

"That's not right, why is Jean Grey School here?"

When Kevin noticed Jean Grey School, he was also momentarily stunned.

If the Guardians of the Galaxy came to The Boys world because of Kevin, then why did the Mutant Academy appear here?

His heart sank slightly, and an ominous premonition arose in Kevin's mind.

He quickly descended from the sky, landing directly in front of the Mutant Academy, but just as he landed, the ground suddenly rose up with soil and rubble.

In just a few seconds, a cage made of earth and stone enveloped Kevin.

"Richtor?"

Seeing the cage made of mutant abilities, Kevin did not immediately break free, but looked up into the Mutant Academy.

As soon as he finished speaking, Richtor, with some stubble on his face and looking much more mature, walked out from the entrance of the Mutant Academy.

He used his ability on Kevin with one hand, while walking up to him, looking him up and down before asking:

"You know me?"

"Of course, I'm Kevin."

"Kevin…? Which Kevin?"

Richtor frowned and asked.

There were many people named Kevin, and quite a few mutants among them. He really had no impression of this 'child' in front of him.

Kevin didn't say much, just raised his hand, palm up.

Instantly, clear water flowed in his hand, and he quickly condensed it into his adult appearance.

To make it clearer for Richtor to see, Kevin condensed the water into ice.

Soon, an ice sculpture in Kevin's adult likeness appeared before Richtor.

"?!"

Seeing the ice sculpture, Richtor stared at Kevin again.

He hadn't thought of it before, but now, after Kevin's reminder, he could vaguely see that this child in front of him did bear some resemblance to the Kevin he knew.

But… this one in front of him was just an eleven or twelve-year-old child?

"I know you're surprised, I can explain that, but it might take a long time… So, aren't you going to invite me in?"

Kevin asked Richtor with a smile, holding the temporary ice sculpture he had made in his hand.

Richtor hesitated for a moment:

"Are you… really Kevin?"

"Even if I say I really am now, you probably won't believe me. It's better to let me go in and meet Wolverine."

"Or do you think these few dirt sticks of yours can trap me?"

Kevin placed his finger on the earth and stone prison Richtor had created, and a cold aura spread over the prison. In just two seconds, the entire earth and stone prison was turned into an ice sculpture by Kevin.

Then Kevin bent his finger and flicked it gently against the ice sculpture.

Clink—

A crisp sound rang out, cracks appeared on the ice sculpture, and finally it collapsed into a pile of fragments.

Kevin stepped over the fragments, and smiled at Richtor:

"See, if I want to, you can't stop me at all."

"Alright, let him in."

Before Richtor could speak, Kevin felt someone communicating with Richtor telepathically.

Although not intentional, Kevin also heard what the person who communicated with Richtor said.

However, Kevin was very curious.

Given Richtor's current position at Jean Grey School, even if he wasn't an elder, he was at least a member of the management, right?

After all, he had led the mutant children who escaped from Alkali-Transigen, and was the leader of that group of mutant children.

If those mutant children had now become X-Men, then his position in the X-Men would probably be even higher than Wolverine's.

How could someone still order him around now?

Kevin wasn't quite sure what was going on, but he didn't think much of it. He would find out who that person was soon enough anyway.

"Come in."

Richtor didn't know that Kevin had already heard someone communicating with him. After a slight hesitation, he moved aside and let Kevin in.

The two walked into the Mutant Academy, one after the other.

Kevin followed behind Richtor, observing the scenery inside the academy.

The scenery here was no different from when he last left.

Not only the ancestral castle left by Charles, but also the surrounding trees, and even the lake in the center of the academy, had all been teleported here.

It seemed to have integrated well with this world.

Seeing this, Kevin felt a sense of worry.

The Mutant Academy had come to The Boys world, and he had encountered the Guardians of the Galaxy, who shouldn't have appeared here, in the universe.

This meant that for some unknown reason, the Marvel Universe was merging with the universe Kevin was in.

The impact of parallel universes colliding was growing, and it was unknown whether other universes would merge with The Boys Universe next.

For example… the DC Universe.

Just as he was thinking this, Kevin saw someone standing at the entrance of the castle, waiting to greet him.

That person was in a wheelchair, accompanied by some mutants wearing relatively retro battle suits.

Wolverine, in a regular jacket, and Laura, in a denim jacket, were also among them, looking at the person in the wheelchair with complex expressions.

And Kevin, looking at the person in the wheelchair who still had hair on his head, first fell silent for a moment.

Then he rubbed his eyes hard.

Finally, he looked at Wolverine in astonishment:

"Wolverine… what's going on?! Why is Charles here too??"

That's right, the one greeting Kevin at the door was the younger version of Professor X, Charles!

Just by looking at the thick hair on his head, one could tell what era this guy came from.

At least he definitely hadn't encountered Apocalypse yet!

But whether Charles had hair or not wasn't important.

What was important was why he appeared here.

"It seems you know me too, child."

The young Charles smiled and said to Kevin.

Kevin glanced at Beast, Mystique, and others beside him, and nodded:

"Not only do I know you, but Wolverine and I personally buried you! And I'm not a child, I'm almost thirty! By the way, what era are you from?!"

Kevin came out with a barrage of questions.

Wolverine, behind Charles, raised an eyebrow upon hearing this and asked:

"So, you really are Kevin?"

"Of course! And you're in my world now! Understand? How did you even get here?"

Charles sighed and said:

"Well, that's a long story. How about we go inside and talk?"

Although this Charles looked young, he undoubtedly held the dominant position in the team now.

This was natural. As the founder of the X-Men, Wolverine's guide, and someone Laura considered a grandfather figure, if he appeared here, the younger X-Men naturally had no say.

Kevin and Charles looked at each other for a moment, and Kevin did not refuse.

He really wanted to know what was going on.

At least he had to figure out why Wolverine and the others were here.

Entering the academy castle, everyone arrived at the reception room.

Kevin sat on the sofa, while Beast, who hadn't transformed yet, acted as a server and poured tea for everyone.

Wolverine leaned in a corner, staring at Charles without speaking.

Laura, who was now an adult, seemed very calm and mature, standing behind Charles as if protecting him.

As for the others, Mystique stared at Kevin, and Richtor watched them.

There was one more person, said to be a CIA agent—of course, the CIA in the X-Men world—whose name was apparently Moira, Charles's old lover. She stood beside Charles, scrutinizing Kevin with a discerning gaze.

After Beast poured a cup of tea, Charles said to Kevin:

"We arrived here this morning."

"'We'?" Kevin glanced at Charles and the others, then looked back at Wolverine: "I imagine that 'we' doesn't include Wolverine and them."

"Right, when we arrived here, this academy and Wolverine and the others were already here. For them, we are indeed newcomers."

Charles nodded generously, admitting it.

"How did you confirm that? From the outside, this academy should be no different from your era."

Although Wolverine had changed the academy's name to Jean Grey School, he hadn't extensively renovated the interior of the academy.

The academy still maintained its century-old style, so Charles shouldn't have reacted so quickly.

The person who answered Kevin's question was Beast:

"Because there's no Cerebro here."

Kevin turned to look at the scholarly Beast, who was still wearing glasses.

Meeting Kevin's gaze, Beast continued: "Before we came here, we were… we were searching for Erik's whereabouts. Apocalypse had emerged. He is a very powerful and ancient mutant, and he wants to rule the world."

"For that, he was searching for powerful mutants, and Erik is a very powerful mutant, so we planned to find Erik before Apocalypse did."

As soon as Beast finished speaking, Kevin politely interrupted him:

"You know, Beast, if I didn't know who Apocalypse was, or who Erik was, your explanation would only leave me completely confused."

"Uh… sorry, I… I thought you knew…"

"I do know. I just wanted to tell you to get to the point, thanks."

Kevin said helplessly.

Apocalypse, he certainly knew him well.

An ancestral-level mutant in the X-Men world, possessing the ability to swap bodies with mutants and thus steal their powers.

Long, long ago in Egypt, he relied on this ability to collect countless mutant powers.

And he ruled all of Egypt with cruel methods.

But in the end, while changing to a body similar to Wolverine's, which possessed a healing factor, his temple was attacked by human rebels.

Thus, he was buried underground.

Until many years later, when the plot of "X-Men: Apocalypse" began, he was released from underground due to an earthquake.

Apocalypse was undoubtedly a very powerful mutant. He had many methods, and in the plot, besides the awakened Phoenix, no one seemed to be his match.

And Apocalypse was currently searching for Magneto Erik. If Erik became his subordinate and his abilities were enhanced, then with Erik's power, he would cause world-level magnetic field tremors, thereby destroying the entire world.

After being urged by Kevin, Beast immediately got to the point:

"So we planned to use Cerebro to find Erik in advance, and then something unexpected happened… we were discovered by Apocalypse."

Charles took over the conversation, saying:

"Apocalypse intended to use my ability to trigger a nuclear war across the world. Alex… that is, Shockwave, I think you know him."

Charles looked at another member of the X-Men, a handsome young man with dark golden hair.

His hero name was Shockwave.

It sounded like the Shockwave from Kevin's world.

However, in reality, he could also be called Ravager, and Shockwave from The Boys world could be called Tremor.

Their English words are completely different.

Kevin nodded to Alex, indicating that he did indeed know him.

Charles then continued to explain:

"He destroyed the Cerebro, and then Apocalypse… they came after us."

"Just at this critical moment, we suddenly arrived here."

Beast added.

Logan also interjected at this point:

"They appeared underground, right where the Cerebro used to be, but you know, this place… was destroyed by the authorities long ago when Charles was listed as a wanted man. I didn't think about rebuilding it after I came back, after all, no one but Charles could use this thing."

"It's precisely because of this subtle difference that we knew this wasn't our Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, especially after seeing Logan."

Charles turned his head, his gaze towards Logan filled with nostalgia:

"To be honest, my friend, I didn't expect to meet you again under such circumstances."

"I didn't expect it either."

Logan also responded with a complex expression.

He truly hadn't expected to see his deceased old friend again someday.

However, the Charles in front of him wasn't the Charles who had accompanied him for so long and eventually died on the Sunset Ship. Thinking of this, Logan still felt a bit regretful.

Charles withdrew his gaze from Logan and continued to Kevin:

"Then we met, and after some conversation and investigation, we discovered that this was not our world at all. We were originally planning to discuss how to go back, and then you arrived."

"Are you the only ones who came here?"

Kevin, who understood how Charles and the others came over, hesitated before asking.

Charles shook his head:

"I'm not sure. The scene before we were transferred to this world was Apocalypse with his 'subordinates'… including Erik, coming to our door. And since we could be teleported here, those who were very close to us might also be able to."

"But they didn't appear at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, so I'm not entirely sure if we're the only ones who came here."

Without Cerebro, it was a bit difficult for Charles to connect to everyone's brains in the world.

Besides, even if Charles had Cerebro, he wouldn't dare to use it now.

After all, if Apocalypse was also in this world, then his re-use of Cerebro would definitely lead to the same result as in the X-Men world.

"Before you came, we were discussing how to send them back."

Logan suddenly said.

Charles interjected:

"If Apocalypse isn't in this world, then he must still be in our original world, and someone needs to stop him."

"Just you guys?" Kevin looked up in surprise, his words a bit impolite: "Aside from the two extras around Apocalypse, Magneto and Storm, you'll probably have a hard time dealing with them, plus Apocalypse himself. Do you think you can be their match?"

Kevin knew that Charles also had Phoenix and Cyclops with him, and Quicksilver would join the team later, as well as Nightcrawler, who was rescued by Mystique.

This lineup would certainly have no problem fighting Apocalypse.

But now, looking at Charles's meaning, he probably hadn't included those children.

After all, in Charles's eyes, Cyclops and the others, who were only seventeen or eighteen years old, were truly just children.

Charles was obviously stumped by this question. He opened his mouth, then sighed:

"I'll think of another way…"

Bang!

Just as Kevin was about to say something, the door was suddenly opened by a rather plump black young man who burst in.

As soon as the plump young man entered, before anyone could ask, he said to Logan:

"Professor Logan! Turn on the TV quickly! Something has happened!"

Everyone exchanged glances upon hearing this. Laura, who was closest to the TV remote, picked it up and turned on the TV.

Although they had switched worlds, because the school's TV broadcast didn't use cables but rather a satellite dish, everyone could still watch this world's TV programs.

As soon as the TV was turned on, everyone saw breaking emergency news.

A reporter holding a microphone engraved with Vought logo was broadcasting from a helicopter.

"As you can see, the Superheroes of the Hero Association are currently fighting villains, but… but these villains seem a bit different this time… their powers are so strong! Oh… my God, Starlight was knocked flying!"

On the TV, a Super-Hero battle in a certain part of New York was being broadcast.

The Hero Association, led by Starlight, was fighting a 'Supe' with blue skin and Egyptian-style clothing.

Because there seemed to be only this one broadcasting station, it was difficult to see the overall situation at the scene clearly, only that the scene seemed very chaotic.

Starlight and some other Superheroes Kevin was familiar with were all there. They were fighting four individuals under the blue-skinned leader.

Kevin saw Hughie entangled with a bird-man with wings on his back, and Black Noir fighting a woman who could create light weapons with her hands.

Shockwave tried to deal with Storm but was knocked flying by a bolt of lightning.

Starlight was originally heading for Apocalypse but was knocked away by Magneto, who was wearing a helmet and manipulating magnetism.

Apocalypse, Magneto, Storm, Psylocke, and Birdman.

It was Apocalypse and his Four Horsemen!

Seeing Starlight knocked flying, Kevin immediately stood up.

He looked at Charles and the others gravely and said:

"It seems Apocalypse and his group have also arrived in this world, it's just that their landing spot is different from yours."

"They need our help!"

Charles said after staring at the TV for a while.

From the live broadcast on TV, it was not difficult to see that the Superhero team in this world was currently at an absolute disadvantage.

There weren't many powerful individuals among them; only the female hero who could shoot light beams seemed capable of putting up a fight.

As for the others, not to mention Apocalypse himself, Magneto alone could take care of everyone.

Charles could judge that if this continued, the losing side would definitely be the hero team here; there would be no other outcome.

Not only Charles thought so, but Kevin also held the same opinion.

The mutants of the X-Men were generally stronger in overall power than the Supes of The Boys world.

This was especially true now that Homelander and Storm were dead, and Soldier Boy was still imprisoned in a Russian military base.

Perhaps Starlight and Hughie, with their enhanced abilities, could rival Omega-level mutants, but facing Apocalypse and Magneto…

It was still a bit difficult for them.

Kevin also knew that there was no time to delay. He didn't bother to catch up with Logan and the others, directly raising his hand to create a portal to the scene, intending to lead everyone to confront Apocalypse.

But before Kevin could act, a new development appeared on the TV.

"Oh! My God! Someone else has come to support! Is that… is that another Starlight?! Who is she?! She knocked that blue-skinned one flying!!"

The extremely excited voice of the host came from the TV.

Kevin immediately looked at the TV.

He saw another sparkling female, grabbing Apocalypse by the neck and striking him from the ground into the sky!

Although Kevin couldn't see her face clearly because she was far away, from the faint glimpse of her uniform, Kevin identified her.

Captain Marvel Carol Danvers!

What's going on?! When did Carol get here?!

What exactly happened in this world during Kevin's absence?!

...

Starlight barely crawled out of the shattered ruins.

She pushed aside the building debris on her body with one hand, stood up, and looked up at the helmeted man in the sky.

Starlight didn't know who the other party was, but she knew very well that the other party's power was immense.

Immensely powerful beyond imagination!

The other party could control magnetism, and under the influence of magnetism, everything at the scene could become his weapon!

Starlight couldn't even get close to the other party!

But thankfully, Vers, who came from a parallel universe, helped. She held back the strongest enemy on the field. Starlight only needed to face the man using magnetism in front of her and prevent him from continuing to destroy the city.

"Starlight, are you okay?"

Just as she got up, a familiar voice came from Starlight's earpiece.

Starlight's eyes widened upon hearing the voice:

"Maeve?!"

"I called Ms. Vers. I already know the situation. Just hold on a little longer; I'll be there to help you soon!"

Maeve said quickly in the earpiece.

"Wait, Maeve, didn't you lose your powers?"

"I injected Compound V again, and it's enhanced Compound V! And I've brought you a helper now!"

"A helper?"

"Yes, he's already on the scene!"

As soon as Maeve finished speaking, a golden laser suddenly flew from a distance, targeting Magneto, who was flying in mid-air!

Seeing the laser fly in, Magneto waved his right hand, and countless metallic dust blocked his front, forming a shield in front of him.

The laser was blocked by the shield, but the powerful impact of the laser also caused the shield to hit Magneto.

Magneto, who was being used as a target in the air, had no choice but to land on the ground and look in the direction from which the laser had been fired.

"Oi! Your opponent has changed, helmet man!"

A familiar voice rang in her ears. Starlight looked towards the source of the sound and saw Butcher, wearing a black trench coat, walking towards her with his usual annoying smile.

"Butcher?!"

Starlight's face was full of astonishment.

She never imagined that Butcher, who had always been hostile towards Supes and adamantly refused to become one, would appear here.

And it seemed he had even injected Compound V and become a Supe!

Didn't he hate Supes the most?

"Ask any questions later, for now…"

Butcher turned his gaze to the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse:

"Let's deal with these uninvited bastards first."

With that, his eyes once again released lasers, firing them towards Magneto!
