"DXD: Infinite Loot System"Chapter 270: Angel's Whisper

The last wisps of mist faded from the air. The Hero Faction had retreated, leaving the battlefield to Tenra and his companions. Raynare, Rossweisse, and Katerea's group gathered around him, their faces marked by exhaustion and triumph.

"Master, what should we do with these prisoners?" Katerea asked, gesturing as her sorceresses dragged over a dozen uniformed women—Hero Faction remnants.

Tenra lifted Katerea's chin, seeing right through her. "You kept them alive. You already know the answer."

"Take them back for re-education," she purred.

He smirked. "So predictable."

Katerea bowed, lips curled in a sly smile, and led her captives away into the Sancta Diabolus Hall. Her sorceresses followed, heads bowed, the prisoners trailing behind in subdued silence.

A rumble shook the earth—monstrous roars echoing from across Kyoto.

Tenra and the girls turned. Energy still streamed into Princess Yasaka's nine-tailed fox form, now berserk and rampaging after the Hero Faction's departure. Buildings crumbled, the golden beast's cries splitting the air.

"Lord Tenra! Please, save my mother!" Kunou burst onto the scene, tears streaking her cheeks as she clung to his arm. Le Fay hovered behind, worry etched on her face.

Tenra's gaze softened as he stroked Kunou's hair. "Don't worry. We'll bring her back."

He turned to Raynare and Rossweisse. "I'll keep Princess Yasaka occupied. You two—destroy the magic circle. If we don't, she'll be torn apart by the power flooding in."

"Understood!" Both women shot into the sky, no hesitation.

Tenra gathered his power, shadows swirling at his feet. "Come forth, my tailed beast legion!"

No need to hold back now. Nine colossal monsters erupted from the darkness—Kurama, Gyūki, Chōmei, Saiken, Kokuō, Son Gokū, Isobu, Matatabi, Shukaku—the full roster of Naruto's legendary beasts, tails lashing, jaws snapping.

Even Kunou and Le Fay stared, stunned into silence. So many tails—so much raw power.

"Go!" Tenra snapped his fingers.

The nine beasts roared, unleashing a barrage of tailed beast bombs. Explosions rocked the city, fire and smoke rising as Princess Yasaka's golden fox form howled in agony. The monstrous melee began—fur, claws, and fangs clashing in a battle fit for legends.

Despite her fury, Princess Yasaka couldn't withstand all nine beasts. Soon, she was pinned—one holding her neck, another biting her tails, others spewing acid and fire. The golden fox could only writhe and cry, helpless under the onslaught.

"Please, Lord Tenra, make them stop! Mother's suffering!" Kunou sobbed, clutching his arm.

Tenra coughed, suddenly sheepish. Maybe he'd gone a bit overboard.

A snap of his fingers, and the tailed beasts ceased their assault, merely restraining Princess Yasaka.

Moments later, Raynare and Rossweisse found the magic circle's core and shattered it. The torrent of energy stopped. The excess power within Princess Yasaka drained away, her cries fading as her form shrank.

She collapsed from the air, reverting to human shape—naked and unconscious. Tenra caught her, eyes averted in awkward embarrassment. Kunou squeaked, rushing to her mother's side.

"Don't look!" she snapped, face crimson as she glared at Tenra.

He shrugged, handing Princess Yasaka over. Not his fault, but no point explaining.

With the Hero Faction gone and Princess Yasaka rescued, the crisis was over. Kunou led her mother back to the Yokai realm to recover. Tenra returned to the inn with Le Fay, Raynare, and Rossweisse, the tension finally ebbing.

Not long after, Azazel appeared, teleporting into the room.

"They got away, huh…" he muttered, frustration plain.

Tenra listened as Azazel recounted the aftermath: Cao Cao had battled Serafall, creating chaos that let the rest of the Hero Faction escape Kyoto.

Tenra wasn't surprised. After facing Cao Cao himself, he'd expected as much.

"These two are Sacred Gear users we managed to capture. As promised." Azazel dumped two unconscious men at Tenra's feet.

"Only two?" Tenra raised an eyebrow.

Azazel grimaced. "There were more, but they knew about your ability. Most killed themselves rather than let you take their Sacred Gears. These two were all we could save."

Tenra whistled low. "Hero Faction, huh. Gotta admit—they're hardcore."

Disappointment flickered, but he moved on. Two was better than none.

Without hesitation, Tenra activated Sacred Gear Plunder. Wisps of power streamed from the men's bodies, merging into his own.

He felt the new abilities settle in—Gravity Halo and Angel's Whisper.

Gravity Halo: the power to manipulate gravity, its strength scaling with the user. Area, magnitude, and single-target force all improved with mastery. Not bad.

But Angel's Whisper was the real prize—a rare mental manipulation Sacred Gear, capable of influencing minds, hypnotizing targets. Perfect for gathering followers, or… other uses.

Tenra quickly noted the limitations. It only worked on the opposite sex; effects on the same sex were negligible. And only on those weaker than the host—stronger minds were immune.

The second restriction was expected. The first—only working on females—made Tenra chuckle. Fortunately, nearly all his tools and believers were women. Not much of a problem.

Counting his haul, Tenra smiled. The Hero Faction had delivered: Trickster, Gravity Halo, Angel's Whisper, and the coveted Annihilation Maker.

And Jeanne d'Arc's Blade Blacksmith, still waiting in the Sancta Diabolus Hall's dark cell. That Sacred Gear would be his soon enough.
