Lana could hear the affection dripping from the Elder of Wisdom's voice as he continued speaking about his daughter.
"So you see, we aren't the ones who have been deliberately targeting humans. It was the humans who kept provoking us and interfering with our affairs in this realm."
Lana paused for a moment before turning towards the Elder of Wisdom. Her expression grew serious as she replied, "Even so, turning humans into your slaves crosses a line that should never be crossed."
The Elder of Strength immediately grew furious. His massive hand clenched into a fist, and he pointed towards Lana as he retorted,
"Do you even understand how terrible humans can be? Once upon a time, all of us genuinely liked humans. We treated them with kindness and regarded them as our own children. That was precisely why I allowed them to get close to my wife. I never imagined that they would do something so despicable!"
