Before Lucian could dwell on the thought any further, the Elder of Strength suddenly spoke.
"All right, since you have helped me so much, I should at least give you something in return."
He paused, seemingly trying to decide what would be appropriate compensation for such an extraordinary act of kindness. After a moment, he nodded to himself as though he had reached a decision.
"I will make sure that all of you are taken care of properly until the portal to Earth opens. You will have a comfortable place to stay, sufficient resources to meet your needs, and everything necessary to live peacefully while you wait. I will not harm you, and I will personally assist you whenever you require my help."
