"There is a demon! There is definitely a demon!"
Her voice cracked. The confident attitude she usually maintained had completely disappeared.
Seeing her terrified appearance, nobody mocked her. Not even Lana.
After all, anyone could see that Fay had genuinely been frightened.
Eventually, the group left the temple and gathered at a nearby intersection.
Everyone was debating whether they should return to their temporary base or continue searching.
At that moment, Lana suddenly spoke. "How about we continue searching a little longer?"
The moment those words left her mouth, Fay's face darkened. She immediately stood up. "What?"
Disbelief filled her eyes.
Then anger followed. "I think she doesn't care about me at all."
Fay pointed directly at Lana. "I'm starting to suspect she thinks I was lying from the beginning. That's why she's suggesting this."
Lana frowned. "No."
She shook her head. "Trust me. My instincts are telling me that something important is here."
