Lana was not lying. Even when she had been at her lowest, she had never acted coy.
She had never pretended to be spoiled or helpless just to receive sympathy from others.
More often than not, she had been forced to confront the harshness of reality directly, but she had never lowered herself in front of someone simply to obtain what she wanted.
Seeing how unyielding Lana remained, Julia chuckled again.
"Anyway, I only want to tell you one thing. I am not a bad person. I simply use whatever advantages are given to me."
Lana paused and frowned.
"I do not understand why everyone suddenly feels the need to come to me with stories about their past. I am not interested in listening to any of them."
Julia's lips twitched slightly.
"You're very interesting. Honestly, you are incredibly straightforward about what you want and what you do not want."
Lana nodded. "That is how I have always been."
