Valerie had done better on the next attempt but the attack was still flawed.She would succeed on the next attempt though that much was certain.
Valerie observed the orc.Its legs were in a sorry state and it was losing blood from all its wounds.This battle would be hers.Her earlier attack had split the ground for tens of metres.Her next one would be perfected.
Valerie entered her stance again but something changed this time.The orc blasted itself towards her with a combination of physicality and magic.The orcs eyes were determined and filled with resolve.
It smashed the ground in front of it with its hammer.It wasn't aiming for Valerie.Valerie subconsciously attempted to dodge back but her back hit a wall that shouldn't have been there.
A rocky wall had surrounded the two of them.There wasn't much space to move around but Valerie could still use her skills.The orc might have had her cornered but it was the same the other way round.
Golgor would not be able to dodge or avoid Valerie's next attack due to its speed but he had come to terms with it.Golgor may not survive to the next day but he would still make sure to take out his opponent.
Valerie regained her composure and re-entered her stance.The mana-based radiation moved from her body,along her arm,into her blade and exited as a powerful slash that cut into everything in its way.

Valerie smiled as she quickly read the new skill in her arsenal.She had gotten stronger.
"Wait a second...where's my experience?"
Valerie looked past her status screen to see that the orc was right in front of her with arms widespread.Even with her speed and reaction time she had no way to escape.
Golgor leapt onto Valerie and forced her to the ground.He had a deep diagonal gash running across his torso.The gash had almost run all the way through and it was surrounded by dead flesh.It was not a survivable injury.Yet Golgor was somehow still standing.
He opened his large sharp toothed mouth and closed it around Valerie's head whilst holding her shoulders still with his powerful strengh.While Golgor was weakened due to his injuries he was still an orc.Orcs simply had superior strengh and durability to humans.
Valerie began to panic as Golgor slowly increased the pressure and force behind the bite around her skull.Valerie wanted to scream but the pain wasn't too much for her just yet.She could still resolve this situation and stay alive.
"I need to use that slash attack but how?I can't enter the required stance and my concentration is being disturbed.I can't control such...a large amount of mana...unless I use less mana and use the skill a countless number of times."
Valerie's thoughts were rapid as she tightened her grip on her daggers.She didn't enter a stance but her arms moved.She repeated the flow of mana of the skill but with far less mana and far more repetitively.
A storm of slashes hit the front of Golgors body as Valerie slashed away beneath him.
CRUNCH
Valerie's skull began to cave in as she kept madly slashing.At one point one of Valerie's eye balls burst out of her skull whilst Golgor got disembowelled.Golgors teeth sunk into Valerie's skull and brain.Before they though she had recieved a notification.

Valerie's couldn't read the description of the skill as she had something else in her head right now.Which was mainly orc teeth and a worrying amount of blood.
SQUELCH
The orc managed to fully close its mouth and Valerie's movements stopped.Golgor rolled onto his back besides Valerie's corpse.He breathed heavily but he knew he would die soon.

"Chieftain I've come to help...ohhh...uhh."
The only surviving orc lieutenant from earlier had come to help his chieftain.He had clearly done well as his presence felt a lot stronger now.
"Glorok take the remaining warriors and tribespeople and go join my brother."
Glorok stayed besides Golgor as he was dieing as a sign of solemn respect.When Golgor fell limpy shortly after his arrival he picked up a scroll that Valerie dropped and ordered a retreat of the remaining orc warriors.He refused to watch as the body of his chieftain dissolved into the dungeon.
The humans attempted to kill all they could but a number of orcs had escaped.The surviving orcs had gained a lot from their battle as they grew stronger and gained new spells and techniques from the humans drops.
Most of the humans had levelled up and gained new gear from the dead orcs.Some of them had died but Gaia congratulated all of them.She had made a large amount of gains from this battle.
