It was finally time for the party. We were both dressed and ready when Axel walked in, holding something small in his hand.He came closer and placed a silver necklace gently around my neck.
"But… who owns it?" I asked quietly. "Yours or…?"

He didn't answer immediately. Instead, he brushed my hair to the side, fastening the clasp before whispering,

The hall was already alive when we arrived music, laughter, and the smell of champagne in the air. Guests danced, others drank and laughed. I sat beside Axel, trying to adjust to the glittering chaos
My eyes fell on the bride. She looked beautiful but not happy. I could see it in her face the way her smile didn't reach her eyes..i notice she wasn't happy at all was it because i have experience this feeling
"She doesn't look happy," I murmured.
Axel leaned back lazily. "She does. She's marrying her ex's brother."
"woah"i said, a sharp sting hitting my chest. That kind of pain it's deep. But could it be worse than mine? Thinking about my ex, Zane, and everything he did to me… no. No one's pain could match no problem is worse than mine
thinking bout him, is as if fate wanted to mock me Zane walked in with my friend, Xena. My throat tightened.

I quickly hid, slipping between chairs, pretending to adjust my dress. I grabbed a drink and walked up to them casually then poured it straight onto Xena's expensive gown.
"Are you mad?!" she yelled, trying to clean her dress.
"im so..."I stopped mid-sentence and turned around slowly.
Her face froze, and the color drained from her cheeks."calliah?.."

He looked annoyingly good his messy brown hair and those dark, deep eyes. If things were different, I might have hugged him. But instead, I gripped my feelings tight inside my chest.
"And why are you here?" he added. "This party isn't for you. Don't you have shame coming to a wedding after yours got scattered? What are you trying to do, ruin this one too?"

The crowd had started to whisper. Zane's face darkened. He grabbed my wrist roughly, his eyes blazing
"what did you just say??" . Axel a few metre away watching us with his dull green eyes he didn't moved an inch he just watched, calm and unreadable.
why would he put himself inside this stupid issue before runor spread again
"what do you say bitch"he said dragging my wrist harder but then i throwed a little device on his pocket unknowingly to him

i followed Kaelen out.she turn back frequently to stare at him "Do you like him?" I asked teasingly.

"so who's that guy you came in with. Axel? " she asked, glancing toward Axel.
"Axel," I said, following her gaze. "He's a friend."Axel stood apart from everyone, his back against abpillar, arms folded. His green eyes scanned the crowd lazily. Even in silence, he drew attention cool, handsome, and untouchably confident.
Just then, Landon excused himself and left. Kaelen handed me her drink and followed after him.

I moved upstairs, holding my glass, watching everyone from above. Xena sat below, pretending to text, but I could feel her eyes sneaking glances at me.
THIS WAS MY CHANCE!.
i slipped out quietly, heading for the parking lot. I found Zane's car and crouched down, attaching a small tracking device to the bottom. Then, shining my flashlight, I searched around and froze when I spotted a folder with my father's company name printed across the top.
I reached out to grab it but the car suddenly beeped loudly. I gasped, dropping my phone. Quickly, I ducked behind a nearby wall as Zane and Xena rushed out.

My heart raced so fast it hurt. He was close too close.

He paused… then turned to leave. I was about to breathe in relief when he stopped again and came back.
I crawled backward on my hands, trying not to make a sound. My leg scraped against something sharp blood trickled down my ankle. He threw a wooden crate aside, but luckily, I'd already slipped behind another car.
He scanned the area one last time before finally getting in his car and driving off.
I slumped back, breathing hard. My leg hurt like hell.
Then, as if things couldn't get worse, the rain started heavy, cold, and relentless. I tried to crawl to a safer spot, but the pain made it impossible.
"I'm doomed," I muttered weakly. "Axel won't find me here…"
And beside he will be busy with his friend that he wont bother to find his two night stand girl under the rain
The rain poured harder, soaking me completely. Minutes passed maybe ten, maybe more before I heard my name being shouted through the storm.
