Monday stared in disbelief at her own fingertips.The power that Xu Fu had embedded in her—the Super Energy Template—had suddenly gone silent.She could no longer create a black hole to swallow the charging Destroyer.
Her expression darkened, but she sneered, "You really think that's enough to trap me?"
Grinding her teeth, she steadied herself, energy rippling faintly around her frame.
Beside her, Xu Fu watched the cosmic assassin Gamora from across the field, a thoughtful look flickering in his eyes.Then he said evenly, "Step back. …It's been a while since I've stretched my muscles. Let these people keep me company for a bit."
He hadn't expected the assassin's ability to reach such precision.Of course, part of it was because Monday still hadn't mastered the Super Energy Template completely.
Still, Xu Fu knew that once Monday continued to refine her power—once she broke through that inner barrier—she'd wield it effortlessly.But if he intervened now, it would be far less interesting.
A faint smile tugged at his lips. He wanted to see whether his recent training results could truly hold up against the Guardians of the Galaxy.
"Understood, Master. Be careful," Monday replied softly.She could sense that Xu Fu was planning something new—and she trusted his strength implicitly.
With a casual wave of her hand, a flash of light rippled through the air, and her figure vanished in an instant.
"What the hell was that energy fluctuation just now?" Star-Lord Peter Quill exclaimed, staring at the empty space where Monday had stood.
He hadn't expected that even though Gamora's ability could sever the target's link to external energy, it still wasn't enough to restrain the mysterious girl.His expression tightened. He sighed and turned toward Xu Fu, now standing alone against their entire team.
The man's calm, almost indifferent demeanor made Peter's gut twist.Even surrounded, he didn't seem the slightest bit concerned.
Then, without warning, Drax the Destroyer and Rocket the Raccoon lunged forward from both sides.
Drax's massive frame tore across the grassy plain like a charging meteor, while Rocket fired his boosters, streaking through the air in a trail of flame.
Their pincer attack closed in from left and right, blocking all escape routes.
But Xu Fu didn't move. His eyes gleamed with a cold light.
"Two people?" he said flatly. "You think that's enough?"
"Even if you block my retreat—so what? Ever heard of striking first?"
Boom! Boom! Boom!
His heels struck the ground with a thunderous rhythm, shaking the entire field.
A wave of scorching wind burst outward, howling through the grass like a storm through an alley.
Rocket and Drax closed in at once, like twin rams charging a single target. The sound of their steps drummed across the plains as the temperature spiked.
Even the crimson mountain in the distance—the one where Xu Fu had previously drawn power—quivered under the shockwave.
Star-Lord grimaced, his eyes wide. He hadn't expected that a few taunts from that "little girl" would drive his teammates to madness.And now that she'd vanished, their fury had turned fully toward her companion.
Peter had a bad feeling. If these two hit him together… he might not survive.
He glanced toward Gamora and signaled her silently.The last time, he'd managed to stop Drax with his ion net, but now the fight was far too intense for that.
Gamora caught his look instantly. Raising her hand, she slashed the air toward Xu Fu.
Clang!
A surge of green energy shimmered into existence around him—an energy barrier, solid and gleaming like a golden bell under a hammer's strike.
Xu Fu looked at them—Gamora and Peter both—with a faint, amused smile."Not bad," he said lightly. "Interesting…"
Then he shifted his stance, one foot sliding forward. His gaze sharpened.
"But tell me—when," he said softly, "did I ever need help from those weaker than myself?"
His tone turned cold. "You shouldn't be worrying about me. You should worry about your own people. Because neither of you…"He smiled faintly. "…are my opponents."
Rumble!
He slammed his foot down.
A shockwave burst outward from the point of impact, the air around him rippling like shattered glass.
Crack—crack—crack!
The surrounding energy field broke apart, splintering into fragments before dissolving into nothingness.
And then Xu Fu vanished.
Rocket froze mid-flight, eyes widening. Groot and the others on the ground stared in disbelief.
Rumble!
In the blink of an eye, Xu Fu reappeared—charging straight at the roaring Drax.
The two titans met head-on like colliding meteors.
BOOM!
The impact split the air, the shockwave rolling across the plains like thunder.
Rocket hovered in the air, engine still burning, staring down with grim fascination.
Despite his usual sarcasm, no one on the team knew Drax better than he did.And if anyone could match that madman's raw strength… it might just be this mysterious man called Xu Fu.
