"The coordinates you provided are only 300 meters due east of us. There's also a strong current there — that should be the spot you're looking for."
"Alright. If there are no signs of civilization, that means no advanced intelligent life has evolved yet. So, there's no need to worry about alien interference. Three hundred meters isn't far — just fly over, and that'll do."
Hearing this, Xu Fu took off directly with Monday at his side.
Before long, a vast lake came into view.
Seeing it, Xu Fu's face lit up. He quickly pulled out his fishing tools and began setting up a simple ceremony.
After all, it was his first long-distance fishing trip during space travel — it needed a bit of ritual to make it feel right.
Swish!
The fishing line flicked through the air.
Ding!
[Sign-in successful. Cosmic bait acquired.][Cosmic-level bait: A bait of extraordinary potency. Increases the probability of catching cosmic-level items.]
"Cosmic bait? Now that's a real treasure…" Xu Fu's eyes brightened. "Catching cosmic-level items? Does that mean I might even fish up something like an Infinity Stone?"
His expression grew eager. The odds were probably much lower than before, but even a tiny chance was better than none.
After all, if a treasure on the level of the Infinity Stone appeared, it would be a huge gain.
Just as Xu Fu was about to cast his rod again using the cosmic-grade bait, Monday — who was patrolling high above — suddenly called out in alarm.
"Master, be careful! A high-energy lifeform has entered the barrier!"
"A high-energy lifeform? Didn't you say this Chaisu Planet only had some fierce beasts and the like? Could it be another alien traveler, like me?"
Xu Fu had originally asked Monday to stand guard just in case some unintelligent beasts or birds wandered into his first cosmic fishing session.
But upon hearing Monday's report, he immediately realized something was off.
If Monday classified it as a high-energy lifeform, then it wasn't just some wild animal.
Even the Guardians of the Galaxy or those inhuman mutants hadn't triggered such a warning before.
"Master! Not good! He's broken through my barrier—he's coming!"
Within seconds of Monday's shout, a silver-white figure appeared out of nowhere — gliding on a floating board, hovering above Xu Fu and Monday.
Chaisu's ecology was still primitive, much like Blue Star during the era when large organisms first appeared. The lake — or rather, the ocean — spread vast and boundless, covering nearly half the planet.
Monday's barrier extended tens of millions of meters, yet this intruder had crossed it in a blink.
That speed alone explained why Monday had labeled him a high-energy lifeform.
Just from this, he was clearly far beyond the level of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Not to mention, he had shattered Monday's protective field almost instantly.
"Excuse me, brother," Xu Fu said evenly. "This is an unclaimed planet, sure — but everything works on a first-come, first-served basis. I got here first and already had my companion set up a barrier.
If you're here to fish as well, just say hello and cast your line on the other side of the shore. No need to interfere."
Xu Fu still held his fishing rod, glancing once at the silver-white figure before returning his focus to the lake.
"Hey! You hear that?!" Monday shouted, voice trembling between anger and fear. "My master already said it — if you want to fish, go to the other side and stop bothering us!"
She was furious that this silver intruder had broken her barrier so easily — and a little frightened too. Still, with Xu Fu behind her, she wasn't backing down.
"Blue Star human," the silver figure said coldly. "Leave this place immediately.I am Norrin Radd, the Silver Surfer — and this planet has been chosen as the meal for my master!"
The silver-white being before them was none other than the Silver Surfer from the Marvel universe — Norrin Radd himself.
Once an astronomer from the planet Zenn-La in a distant galaxy, he had encountered the Devourer of Worlds.
To spare his homeworld, he made a deal — he would find suitable planets for the Devourer to consume in exchange for his planet's safety.
As a result, the Devourer granted him immense cosmic power — transforming him into what he was now.
It sounded, Xu Fu thought, oddly similar to an old idiom from the East — "to create a tiger to ward off wolves."
"Oh? So you're the Silver Surfer?"
Hearing the name, Xu Fu finally lifted his gaze from the fishing line to the gleaming figure in the sky.
He had heard the name before, back on his old world, but knew little about the being himself. So when the silver figure identified himself, Xu Fu's curiosity was piqued.
"Still," Xu Fu asked, "I'm curious — how did you know I was from Blue Star just by looking at me?"
After all, while the Marvel universe contained countless life-bearing planets and intelligent species, many of them resembled humans.
Most humanoid aliens differed only slightly — maybe painted skin, metallic implants, or glowing eyes.
Take, for instance, the members of Yondu's space pirate crew who raised Star-Lord — many of them looked almost identical to him.
Even the so-called gods of Asgard — Odin, Thor — if they appeared on Blue Star without using powers, no one would think them alien.
At worst, people might assume they were actors in elaborate cosplay.
So for the Silver Surfer to immediately identify Xu Fu's origin was indeed strange.
"For I have been granted by my master the ability to perceive all that exists — the past, the present, and the potential future of anything I behold.
Though your future is clouded to me, your past lies bare before my eyes.
Thus, I know exactly where you come from — Blue Star human.
One last warning: leave at once, or I will be forced to drive you away."
The Silver Surfer's face was cold, his tone absolute.
"Oh? So you have such an ability?" Xu Fu smiled faintly, eyes glinting with intrigue. "Now that sounds… interesting."
