Chapter 108 - It was impossible to see the world that came before him.

As for the other side being unable to glimpse his future, Xu Fu wasn't the least bit surprised.

Nonsense — he possessed a platinum-tier superhuman body. If any random "cat or dog" could casually peer into his future, that would be ridiculous.

Even the Ancient One couldn't do it, let alone this little lackey of the Silver Egg!

Still, the fact that this being could see through his past and origin at a glance—though Xu Fu understood that this "past" likely referred only to the time after he arrived in this world—left him deeply unsettled.

It was impossible to see the world before him.

Yet the thought left Xu Fu with a twinge of irritation, along with a sobering realization: even someone as mighty as the Devourer of Worlds warranted caution.

"Alright, tell your master this," Xu Fu said flatly. "This planet, Chai Suxing, now belongs to me. He can go find himself another one."

Of course, Xu Fu wasn't about to show weakness. He was just passing the time fishing here; once he caught a treasure and refreshed the pond, he'd move on anyway.

When that time came, was the Planet Devourer really going to chase him all the way to Blue Star?

"Blue Star human," said the Silver Surfer, his face emotionless. "Within the entire Centaur Arm of the spiral galaxy, only one planet remains that suits my master's needs and lacks intelligent life.

When Lord Devourer awakens, if he cannot find a suitable planet to feed upon, he will likely consume a nearby civilized world at random. At that time, tens of trillions of lives will face annihilation."

His tone was calm, but devoid of all warmth. Ever since being chosen as the Devourer's herald and infused with cosmic energy, he had lost his memories, emotions, and former sense of morality.

Yet, perhaps due to some lingering shred of obsession or willpower, he had long directed his master only toward uninhabited worlds whenever possible.

"Didn't you hear what my master said?" Monday snapped. "Get out of here! Go find another planet and stop interrupting our fishing!"

The AI named Monday, who had just landed, existed for one purpose: loyalty to her master, Xu Fu.

Repeated disturbances from the Silver Surfer had clearly pushed her patience to its limit.

As her words fell, Monday's body flared crimson. A surge of red energy burst from her frame as she charged toward the silver figure who dared block her master's peace.

Boom!

A massive wave of energy ripped through the air, tearing straight toward the Silver Surfer as he hovered above on his signature silver board.

"Blue Star human," he intoned coldly, "you are obstructing my mission. I will drive you away."

The Silver Surfer finally moved. He angled his board, soaring forward, treating Monday's red blast like an ocean wave to surf upon.

In moments, he was riding her energy wave, step by step, closing in.

And then—

He was right above Xu Fu's head, who still sat calmly, unmoving, fishing rod in hand.

Bang!

The colliding energies canceled out. Monday was thrown back violently by the recoil and nearly sent flying.

But in the next instant—

Xu Fu, still holding his rod in one hand, raised the other and flicked his finger. An energy shield shimmered into existence, anchoring Monday firmly to the ground.

Swish!

At that same moment, the Silver Surfer struck again. A silver energy bomb shot from beneath his board, streaking toward Xu Fu.

Boom!

Before it could hit, a surge of red thermal energy burst forth from Xu Fu's eyes, colliding with the incoming blast midair.

Crack! Boom! Poof! Poof!

Red and silver energies slammed together, swirling and roaring, locking in a furious stalemate.

But it was clear who held the advantage.

Xu Fu's power pressed forward relentlessly, while the Silver Surfer, teeth gritted, body trembling from strain, was forced steadily backward.

He was less than half a meter above Xu Fu moments ago—now, he was being pushed back nearly a hundred meters away.

"Heh," Xu Fu sneered. "You think you can fight me? I'm a Superman who's drunk the Dragon's Super God Water and the Pearl Elixirs!"

With that, Xu Fu's eyes flared once more.

The twin beams of red heat condensed into a single spiraling strand, merging into a blinding pillar of energy as thick as a tree trunk.

It shot straight toward the Silver Surfer and his board.

Boom!

The Surfer clearly hadn't expected the sudden surge of power. His control faltered, and he flipped backward, tumbling off his board and crashing hard into the air.

"Ah, seriously… can't even fish in peace anymore," Xu Fu sighed, glancing at his unmoving fishing rod with mild irritation.

Moments later, Monday returned—escorting the fallen Silver Surfer Norah Rind, now stripped of his silver board.

Without that board, he had lost the endless cosmic energy granted to him by the Planet Devourer.

Now, his power was barely more than one or two times that of an ordinary Blue Star human—little more than an athletic alien.

Against Monday, enhanced by multiple high-level templates from Xu Fu, he stood no chance.

Brought before Xu Fu, the defeated Silver Surfer stood silent. He knew full well that, without his board, he was no different from a fish lying on the chopping block.

There was no point resisting. Even when he had his board, he hadn't been Xu Fu's match.

"Impressive, Blue Star human," he said at last. "I can tell you spared me because you want information. So, ask what you wish to know.

But I advise you—leave this place soon. You do not want to meet my master."

Xu Fu nodded slightly. The man had accepted reality.

"Alright then," he said evenly. "First question—where is your master, the Planet Devourer, right now?"

The irony wasn't lost on either of them. Once a proud defender of his homeworld, Norah Rind had been turned into a slave—condemned to find planets for his master to consume, in exchange for his world's survival.

Upon hearing Xu Fu's question, the Silver Surfer's eyes widened slightly.

"You… know who my master is?"

Normally, on missions, he never revealed the name of the Devourer of Worlds. Even in all his earlier exchanges with Xu Fu, he had only ever called him "my master."
