A beam of light shot straight toward Norah Rind, the Silver Surfer.
Before he could react, he was pulled into that sudden rift in space and vanished without a trace.
Moments later, Monday's voice echoed again on the desolate planet."So, Master, what now? Keep fishing—or head back?"
Xu Fu was just about to answer when his fishing rod gave a warning tremor. Startled, he reeled it in quickly—only to find that he had hooked a massive octopus more than ten meters wide.
The creature instantly dissolved into a sphere of light and merged into Xu Fu's body.

Although Monday didn't know what Xu Fu was planning, her loyalty was absolute. Upon hearing his command, she acted immediately.
Just as before, a flash of light engulfed Xu Fu, and in the next instant, he was gone from the desolate Chaisu Star—reappearing on a lush, unfamiliar world.
The brief warp left him slightly disoriented, but Xu Fu had long grown accustomed to the sensation. Opening his eyes, he took in the surroundings.
This planet reminded him somewhat of Blue Star—green mountains, clear waters, and a pleasant climate—though with one striking difference: most of the mountains here were a reddish-brown hue, radiating an almost majestic pressure.
In Xu Fu's eyes, that presence felt like a slumbering dragon about to burst from its cage and soar into the sky.
He was no longer the naive native of Blue Star he once had been. After countless interstellar journeys, he immediately recognized what that meant—this planet was rich in mineral energy.
Though he had yet to detect any signs of life, the mineral veins here were undoubtedly a treasure trove for energy development.
"No wonder Monday brought me here," Xu Fu murmured, pleased with her choice.
The planet wasn't only rich in resources—it also bathed in abundant sunlight, meaning it lay at an ideal distance from its system's central star.
Perfect for what he intended to do next.
"Then let's begin testing…"
"…this so-called Cosmic Energy Connection Device."
Xu Fu whispered under his breath, focusing his consciousness inward.
"Let's see what kind of real power this thing can unleash," he thought. "I hope it's worth the surprise."
With that, Xu Fu closed his eyes tightly and activated the device according to the system's instructions.
A stream of radiant light immediately surged from his back, bursting forth in dazzling brilliance.
