Cherreads

Chapter 183 - Cap.170 - Tests - Part.2

The two prisoners were already asleep, dressed in orange prison clothes. Ringo had no interest in hearing them screaming, so he was quick to put them to sleep before the event.

Both were Grade E, but one was a Pugilist and the other an Esper who spat acidic phlegm, yes, disgusting.

Moreover, the one spitting acidic phlegm was the wrinkled guy, making him even more disgusting. Ringo knew he couldn't use the sense of one species to define the beauty of another, but... he really didn't want to visit that guy's planet.

He also wouldn't admit that he chose him because he's ugly enough to die without making anyone sad, absolutely not!

In any case, Ringo grabbed the two test subjects and started the process again, sending his energy to both of them, and this time he controlled the physical process, the two parts turned to jelly as they approached each other, their clothes falling to the ground.

Ringo watched as the jellies merged, but this time he controlled the process, basically, no wrinkles, although he had discovered that these wrinkles not only offered great energy resistance but could also enhance the physical senses, so he simply transformed the enormous wrinkles into something more pleasant.

The new creature's red skin formed, this time not smooth, but with small elevations all over its body, so small that they looked like just a more irregular type of skin.

After some thought, he created what looked like scarification, the skin forming circular patterns all over the body, this turned out much more beautiful than the giant wrinkles.

Leaving the skin aside, he continued to focus on the rest of the body, ironically, the best adaptations came from the wrinkled guy, the "red human" species only had slightly higher intelligence and moderate adaptation to radiation.

Shrugging his shoulders, what the eyes don't see, the heart doesn't feel, the internal parts were almost exclusively made with the wrinkled alien, ironically, even its organs had wrinkles, although their function was to store energy, that is, fat.

In the end, he finally finished the body, the material for two people led him to create a slightly taller version, but with stronger and more compact muscles.

Then it was the soul's turn, this is where the real problems arose.

Ordinary creatures, who only think about what to eat and where to sleep, were incredibly easy to merge.

But this time it became complicated, intelligent beings have so many preferences that it was giving him a headache.

If it were merely like a soul crystal, he could ignore all of that and just leave the choices random, but he was creating a living being.

Even so, he only made the most important choices, dividing his thought process several times, he sacrificed quality for quantity, but since they were simple choices, it didn't matter much.

Even so, it took more than 5 hours to finish.

During that time, he also had to work with memories, so he edited memories where he had lost his memory and been found by Ringo when his ship crashed on that planet. He was currently undergoing a cure after Ringo found him.

Well, it wasn't the most honest thing to do, but he was a galactic pirate and it's not like Ringo was going to mistreat him, so... Ringo's new subordinate was born.

He named him Erik Killmonger, why? He may or may not have based him on the character from the Black Panther movie while creating him, but except for the red skin with scarification patterns, he looked very much like the actor in question.

Unfortunately, it wasn't over yet. Ringo sensed that this time there was a deeper contradiction between the two bodies, basically, their Super systems.

An Esper and a Pugilist... luckily he could choose which one to keep, if he didn't choose, as soon as he stopped editing, the guy's body would probably explode, the Sanctum probably didn't allow that kind of bug, otherwise he could create an army of soldiers with all 5 classes.

What a shame.

In any case, he chose Pugilist.

Who would want the Esper power to spit acid?

Shaking his head, he finished his creation, and in the next moment, Erik's body trembled gently before completely calming down.

Ringo withdrew his power from the Nightmare and watched Erik slowly awaken.

He blinked slowly, trying to get his bearings, confused. He put his hand on the counter to stand up, but he couldn't control his strength and fell to the side, looking at his hands, a little confused.

Ringo had already opened up the evolutionary field, allowing Erik to adapt more quickly.

-Relax, Erik. The last healing session made you a little stronger and taller. It'll take you some time to get used to your new body.- Ringo gave a kindly doctor smile, finally making Erik realize what was happening.

He vaguely remembered what had happened to him, the fall, the memory loss, Ringo's help. Taking a deep breath, he tried to recall the past, but only a severe headache answered him. Sighing, he gave up.

-Thank you for your help, Mr. Jones.- Erik sighed.

-You're welcome. What do you plan to do now? Do you need me to call a ride to another planet for you? I can help you pay for the ticket.- Ringo asked softly, maintaining his gentle smile.

Erik seemed a little embarrassed, where should he go? He didn't even remember who he was...

Ringo seemed to sense her apprehension and spoke. -Why don't you stay if you have nowhere else to go? I really need help in the lab, if you ever regain your memory, you can leave if you want.

Erik seemed emotional, but also embarrassed. -Are you sure? I don't remember anything, and I don't know if I can help without getting in the way.

-It's all right, you can learn little by little.- Ringo promised, patting Erik on the shoulder, then joked, -But first you really should wear trousers.

Erik looked down and his eyes widened, quickly covering himself, his face turning purple with embarrassment.

Ringo just laughed, shaking his head, and went to get a pair of trousers for himself, but inside he was still thinking about the implications of this new ability and the possibilities it presented.
