(Black Spider's POV)
Days passed and they finally returned to Juberly Hub, their mission complete, but Black Spider had refused to go to Godora's mother planet to meet its leader, he saw no point in it, so he simply asked for a list of items he could choose from.
Compensation for his broken weapon and the assistance offered.
The leader of Godora, Serbia, the Fifth, himself held a video conference with him to thank him and promise generous compensation, hundreds of thousands of Enas and top-of-the-line Grade A equipment, it was truly generous.
Of course, Ringo could see that all of this was nothing more than Network, an attempt to get closer to Black Spider and Ames behind his back.
For a Star Cluster-level civilization, a Grade S is just a slightly more important, powerful individual, for a Star System-level civilization like Godora, a Grade A Beyonder is basically a distinguished guest they would do anything to please.
Civilizations had many divisions, but the most important were: Star System, which controls an entire star system including the planets within it, even planetary civilizations would be under the command of a Star System-level civilization, as Aquamarine is over Godora.
If it weren't for Han Xiao essentially taking control of the planet, despite being a subordinate of Ames and having helped Godora a great deal, Godora would have dealt with him a long time ago for trying to "grow" within its territory.
Beyond the Star System level of civilization, there are Star Clusters, which essentially control multiple star systems.
Finally, the universal-level civilizations, which control entire Star Fields, encompass the entire currently explored universe under the control of these three universal civilizations: the Crimson Dynasty, the Federation of Light, and the Arcane Church.
Even the starfield in which he currently operates, Shattered Star Ring, is a starfield under the Federation of Light, but this is merely a starfield considered rural, far from the main center of influence of the three universal civilizations, on the edge of the explored universe.
The Star Cluster-level civilizations are clearly not very happy about this and are always working behind the scenes, trying to undermine the authority of the three universal civilizations, growing slowly, trying to rise up, but in this era all of that is very difficult.
In the ancient era, during the age of exploration, countless civilizations fell before the three universal civilizations rose as their sovereigns. The other civilizations that survived had to lick their wounds to recover, but by the time they did, the three civilizations had already established themselves as the dominant powers.
[A/N: I don't remember if I've already made this clear, but I thought it best to clarify it again, at least to remind you.]
In any case, that's not something Ringo needs to worry about right now, what he should be concerned about is what kind of equipment to choose.
The list was quite long, spanning dozens of pages with small print, but only a minority were truly top-tier items, the rest were just there to fill out the numbers.
Black Spider noticed that most of them were bows, probably with Godora thinking he wanted a new bow, but he ignored it and searched among the rare items.
Ring of the Water Goddess? Grants high resistance to water magic and greatly increases the power of any water-related ability, it's a top-tier Grade A piece of equipment, but useless for him.
Space Blade? It has a powerful spatial enchantment engraved on it, cutting something directly cuts through space, practically cutting everything in its path, but it uses an absurd amount of energy and requires prolonged charging for more powerful attacks. This is practically useless in a Grade A fight, where hundreds of moves are exchanged per second.
Black Spider ignored most of the flashy but useless objects, finally focusing on something interesting.
Purple crystal pendant.
Ability? It can retain any type of energy, serving as an extra energy source. The limit isn't low either, being able to retain peak Grade A energy, enough for a full charge, making it an excellent item for mages.
Most mages use some kind of magic crystal to reduce consumption or retain energy, but most of these crystals have fixed attributes, mainly a higher degree, this type of item that retains universal energy is rare, even more so one that retains so much energy.
It can even be useful for other classes.
Sure, despite its versatility and usefulness, it's yet another expensive item with generic purposes.
Being able to hold any energy is cool and all, but for most people, they just need to find a compatible magic core or crystal, and that would be much cheaper than this.
The crystal can only hold one type of energy at a time, so its versatility is even less appealing.
In the end, it's just an expensive luxury item.
But for Ringo? This is actually something useful, very useful.
Currently, it can help in training Emma and Aurora, and in the future... imagine storing all the energy of a peak Grade A Aurora? Isn't that like standard healing equipment?
Unfortunately, it's only a Grade A item, if it were Grade S...
Taking a deep breath, he didn't hesitate any longer, sending a message to the Godorians, he wanted the Purple Crystal Pendant!
Of course, he wasn't going to forget his search for a new crystal of biological origin, but this pendant would come in handy in the meantime.
