Aquamarine had been in a period of stability for over a year. Time passed quickly while the 6 nations, no, 7 nations, maintained a clear balance, dividing the world amongst themselves.
The Death Scream Sanctuary was completed with high protective walls, filtered air, self-sufficient greenhouse farms, and much more. The Sanctuary's purpose was to protect humans in times of disaster or even to shield humanity from war between nations.
Over the past year, Bennett has built more Sanctuarys, but none of them have managed to match the Death Scream Sanctuary, not even the Black Phantom Sanctuary Three, much to Han Xiao's frustration.
Price had done a good job, although his growing irritation with the Inhumans had given way to a resigned acceptance that these workers were incredibly useful, you only had to ask, and several of them would do incredibly difficult jobs with the efficiency of dozens of people each.
Imagine having a ridiculous number of Grade D and C Supers working to build a city day and night, they barely needed rest and heavy equipment to complete it.
Han Xiao would occasionally visit the Death Scream Sanctuary, selling items to players. Melissa informed Ringo about this, but Ringo ignored it. After all, regardless of your liking for 'playing' with Han Xiao, he still needed to grow up. He had reached the point where, although he still hated the Sanctuary, he had realized that having two XP collection camps was better than one.
Unfortunately, everything would have been perfect if it weren't for the moment he passed through the main square and saw that enormous statue of Ringo, he would get so furious that he wanted to smash the statue's head in, but in the end he was just mocking Ringo for being ostentatious and wasting money.
Year 689 of the Galaxy Calendar, March 1st.
It was a day that left Han Xiao very excited, but when the locations where the qualifiers for each division would be held, with each division representing one of the players' 13 starting planets, would be selected.
When the location of the planet Aquamarine appeared, Death Scream Sanctuary, Han Xiao threw his workbench out the window.
He was so angry he wanted to fly to Hell and find Ringo to shoot that bastard in the head. The next moment, Han Xiao received a message, the identifier, which had previously only shown '6', was now identified as 'Bastard'.
The message was a simple emoji, a very simple smiling face emoji.
Han Xiao stared at the emoji, knowing exactly what Ringo meant, the communicator shattered in his hand, his anger evident.
He left the room directly, since he couldn't host in person, he would go to the Death Scream sanctuary alone, if he was lucky, he would see that bastard and shoot him a few times in the idiot's face, if not, he would just piss on his statue!
No, he would create a mission for players with huge rewards just for vandalizing Ringo's statue!
Of course, Ringo knew all about it, the Galaxy group had already contacted Melissa to negotiate the rental of the Death Scream Sanctuary arena. Ringo made Melissa promise that she would also help broadcast the event worldwide, so the entire planet could watch the competition.
The Galaxy group was very excited, especially the Galaxy Times team responsible for the planet Aquamarine, as what started as a player event became a global event.
Ringo even went so far as to offer generous rewards in equipment and money to the winners of each type of competition.
Han Xiao didn't stand a chance and didn't even know why.
Did Ringo do this to get something from the players?
Of course not, he just wanted to annoy 'the great mechanic Han'.
Seeing that Han Xiao had seen the message and not replied, Ringo gave a discreet chuckle and put away the communicator.
He came to Aquamarine to see Melissa and Li, and also to bring Lena back to visit her father. Aurora also came, she strolled through the Death Scream Sanctuary with Will and Jack by her side.
Ringo met Price directly, the boy had grown quite a bit as well, already in Grade C, his Esper power getting stronger and stronger, but still far from truly attracting his attention.
Instead, he saw Price with a chicken perched in his sandy-colored hair, his face expressing clear resignation.
He forced a stiff smile as soon as he saw Ringo. Ringo had already changed his look, but his pictures had been updated a long time ago, so Price recognized him.
-Leader!- Price shouted as soon as he saw him.
Crimson merely snorted slightly, turning his chicken head away.
-Price, you did a very good job.- Ringo nodded to Price.
Price just gave an embarrassed smile, but inside he only wanted to say that he regretted accepting this job.
-Thank you, sir.- Price nodded.
-Very well, because I have a new job for you.- Ringo approached, patting Price on the shoulder.
Price froze, feeling the hairs on his skin stand on end, slowly turning his head towards Ringo, his face dumbfounded.
Ringo didn't wait for Price to speak, instead, he spoke. -You were chosen from thousands of candidates to be responsible for connecting with the Inhumans group that will be filming a world competition between them. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing everything. I'm counting on you!
Price opened his mouth, shocked and stunned, but Ringo merely patted him on the shoulder and quickly walked away.
Price stood there for a long time, until he heard a shrill laugh.
Above him, Crimson was already laughing and 'cackling'. - You should have seen your face now!
The 'chicken' lowered his head and looked into Price's eyes, then resumed laughing cheerfully.
Price took a deep breath, his anger growing rapidly.
He couldn't beat Crimson, otherwise he would have already cooked that chicken!
