Chapter 233 - SWWW Chapter 234: Wanda’s Classmate Visits Home

SWWW Chapter 234: Wanda's Classmate Visits Home

As a swirl of mysterious blue mist rippled outward, Xi Nian stepped out from the Devourer Space and returned to the living room of his home. Just then, he heard movement outside the front door.

It should be Wanda coming back.

But something puzzled him—his Spider-Sense picked it up.

Besides Wanda's footsteps, there was another set of steps as well.

From the sound, they both seemed to belong to petite girls…

"Right. Wanda mentioned last night that she wanted to bring her classmate over."

Xi Nian recalled.

He quickly waved his hand, and the crimson trench coat peeled off his body, reverting into the Cloak of Levitation before flying back into his room.

Now wearing casual home clothes, Xi Nian straightened his collar and sleeves, swapped his boots for house slippers, and stood ready.

The timing was perfect—just as he finished, the door opened.

"I'm back!"

The first to enter was Wanda, wearing a red dress. In her small hands, she was lugging a shopping bag far too heavy for someone her age.

Spotting Xi Nian at the door, Wanda blinked in surprise, then her cheeks flushed red. She instinctively covered her chest with one hand, lowering her head as she whispered shyly, "Master."

Xi Nian found it odd. He hadn't done anything last night, but still nodded, "Welcome back."

"Master, I brought my classmate. She sits next to me now in class."

As she spoke, another petite figure in a school uniform dress stepped in behind her.

"Hello…?!"

Xi Nian looked up—and froze.

The girl was about Wanda's age and height, wearing a white fitted blouse with a light gray knee-length skirt. Her delicate, flawless face carried a hint of aloof pride. Dark green hair, tied into twin ponytails, fell neatly down her back. Her pale legs were wrapped in white socks tucked into black boots, and she carried a small black backpack over her slender shoulders.

At first glance, she looked like a model honor student.

Yeah, right.

"This is Lorna."

Wanda tilted her head curiously toward Xi Nian. "Master, what do you think?"

"Nothing. Just… she looks a little like you."

Xi Nian chuckled.

"My teacher and classmates say that too," Wanda said with a smile.

Of course they would.

Xi Nian's eye twitched.

"Lorna, this is my Master, Xi Nian Prince," Wanda said seriously as she introduced them.

"Nice to meet you, Master Xi Nian."

Lorna's tone was cool but polite. Acting as though they were strangers, she extended her hand.

For a moment, Xi Nian wondered if he had mistaken her identity.

"Hello."

He reached out, shaking her hand lightly.

And at that moment—

Something tickled his palm. Startled, Xi Nian met her pale green eyes, catching a fleeting glint of mischief.

His eye twitched again.

Mistaken identity? Not a chance.

…

"Master, Lorna just has that kind of personality," Wanda explained quickly. "At school she's even more introverted than me. Other than me, she barely talks to anyone."

"Is that so…" Xi Nian felt his worldview starting to crack.

Introverted? This girl? No way.

With how mature and street-smart she was, she probably just didn't want to "play with little kids" her age.

Not long ago, Xi Nian had been planning to have Alice or Jarro help look for the girl who vanished from New York City.

He never would've guessed—

She had been right under his nose all along.

"Nice to meet you, Lorna."

Xi Nian smiled faintly at the green-haired girl.

Long time no see, Boss Polaris.

…

"I'm going to make lunch. Lorna, take a seat in the living room first."

Wanda poured her some water, then hurried off with her grocery bag into the kitchen.

"Wanna play a handheld game?"

Xi Nian pulled out his old Nintendo handheld.

"Sure," Lorna replied casually.

They actually got along surprisingly well. Wanda peeked out from the kitchen door, saw them seated together, and finally relaxed.

Once Wanda was inside—

Xi Nian, sitting next to Lorna on the sofa, set up the console while asking quietly, "When did you transfer to this school?"

"What are you talking about? Do we know each other?" Lorna blinked innocently, her pale green eyes full of feigned curiosity.

"Boss," Xi Nian corrected himself.

"That's better. Don't forget your place, dumb little brother!"

Her polite mask dropped instantly. With a smirk, Lorna crossed her arms, showing sharp little canine teeth as she spoke boldly. "The gang was boring. No future in that, so I dissolved it. Had nothing better to do, so I thought I'd try out school life."

"You could've told me. I could've arranged everything for you," Xi Nian said.

"As if I need that. Do you think you're my guardian or something?"

Lorna huffed, completely confident. "I can handle everything myself."

"I know. Of course you can."

Xi Nian didn't argue. He knew it was pointless. Instead, he smiled slyly. "But… isn't ordering little brothers around also a Boss's right?"

"…That actually makes sense."

By instinct, Lorna reached into her pocket. Xi Nian flinched, half-expecting a cigarette, but she pulled out a lollipop instead.

She unwrapped it, popped it into her mouth, then realized what he meant. She glared at him, biting down on the candy with a sharp crunch. "Don't twist words! If you arrange things, you'll just push me far away, won't you? Be honest—you don't want your Boss around, do you?!"

Xi Nian shook his head. He recalled the vision of the past he saw in the Sanctum, and his smile softened. Looking at the green-haired girl beside him, he said sincerely, "Boss, I'm really glad you're here. Truly."

For a moment, something in his eyes made Lorna falter.

Instead of snapping back, her cheeks flushed faintly as she turned away, muttering, "Little brother… if you pat my head again, I'll break your arm."

"Yes, Boss."

Xi Nian chuckled, gazing at her with quiet affection.

…

"Boss, do you even know how to play handhelds?"

"Hmph. There's nothing I can't do. Just teach me first!"

While Wanda busied herself with lunch, Xi Nian and Lorna settled into gaming mode.

A short while later—

"Does the winner get a prize?"

Lorna smirked, setting up a Smash Bros match, her pale green eyes challenging him.

"Winner can make one request," Xi Nian said casually.

"Any request at all?"

Her tongue brushed against her sugared lips as her twin ponytails swayed lightly.

"Of course."

This was exactly what Xi Nian had been waiting for. He gripped the controller tightly.

Now, losing was not an option.
