Chapter 269 - Verdant Genesis

Adrian entered the relic world using the teleportation spell he already possessed.

He arrived directly within the inner zone of the Azure Garden, near the location where the Core-Reforging Lotus had once grown. The moment he materialized, he noticed that his perception became limited once more. The density of mana here had reached such an extreme concentration that it approached a liquefied state, forming a mist-like fog that reduced visual clarity and sensory range.

However, unlike before, this was not caused by chaotic energies. There was no instability or distortion that hindered movement or suppressed authority. Instead, the environment was saturated with pure ambient mana, and in many ways, it was beneficial to him.

His Mana Sea stirred in response, absorbing the ambient essence passively. Not enough to significantly expand his reserves, but enough to maintain equilibrium without conscious effort. This was a cultivator's paradise, a place where even breathing accelerated growth.

Adrian walked forward slowly and looked at the massive tree standing at the center of the inner zone. Beneath it lay the pool of crystalline water, calm and reflective. Through his Source Eyes, he could clearly observe the formation beneath the surface.

The garden contained two distinct formations: one responsible for sustaining growth and environmental stability, and another designed for defensive operations. The formation beneath him now functioned primarily as a command structure, coordinating the overall system.

Adrian crouched at the pool's edge, his Source Eyes tracing the intricate patterns woven. Symbols layered upon symbols, each representing a rule fragment that dictated how essence flowed through the garden.

Adrian had already read both formations when he was in his Source Form earlier. However, to properly reverse-engineer the divine concept embedded within them, he needed to observe their interaction patterns again in detail.

Understanding rules in isolation was one thing. Comprehending how they harmonized into a cohesive divine concept required seeing them function together, reinforcing and balancing each other through countless micro-adjustments that occurred every fraction of a second.

He began roaming the entire garden, carefully analyzing how each rule from the arcane concepts interacted within the formation. He identified rule fragments originating from four arcane concepts: Life, Water, Light, and Plant.

Rules from the Life concept initiated growth and cellular regeneration. Rules from the Water concept maintained internal circulation and moisture equilibrium. Rules from the Light concept accelerated energy intake and metabolic stimulation. Rules from the Plant concept stabilized structural development and anchored root networks to ensure sustainable expansion.

Life, Water, and Light were concepts Adrian had already comprehended to the Advanced Galactic level. However, the Plant concept was something he had only grasped at the Basic Galactic level. Within this formation, more advanced layers of Plant rules were clearly in use.

As he continued observing, he gradually comprehended deeper aspects of the Plant concept. The rule structures unfolded naturally under his gaze, and his understanding steadily advanced.

Minutes passed. Then an hour.

Adrian moved through rows of plants, each one a lesson in how Plant rules could be applied differently depending on species and environment.

His comprehension deepened with each observation, fragments of understanding clicking into place. The Basic Galactic level had taught him how plants grew. The Advanced Galactic level revealed why they grew the way they did, the underlying principles that governed all botanical existence across the universe.

After nearly an hour of walking through the garden, Adrian felt that he had fully grasped the divine concept framework used within the Azure Garden.

The knowledge settled into his mind. He understood now how Life initiated, how Water sustained, how Light energized, and how Plant anchored. More importantly, he understood how these four concepts intertwined to create something greater than their sum, a divine concept specifically designed for nurturing growth.

He returned to the base of the massive tree and sat cross-legged. Turning inward, he allowed his consciousness to sink into his Source Seed.

The physical world faded. His awareness descended into the internal landscape of his Source Seed. Chambers floated inside it, each one containing rule fragments of arcane and divine concepts he had already formed.

He first observed the Plant and Wood chamber he had previously created. This was the first two concepts he tested things with. Although not a good divine concept, it contained relevant rule fragments he could utilize now.

He willed the creation of a new empty chamber, and one formed instantly within his Source Seed. Then his consciousness moved deliberately.

From other chambers, he extracted rule fragments governing Growth Initiation, Cellular Regeneration, Essence Circulation, Moisture Stabilization, Accelerated Maturation, Growth Stimulation, Structural Integrity, and Root Network Stability.

These were the precise rule fragments he had observed within the Azure Garden's divine concept.

One by one, he placed them within the new chamber. He adjusted their positions carefully, fine-tuning the balance and resonance between them. Minutes passed as he stabilized their interactions. Gradually, the fragments began intertwining, aligning into a cohesive structure.

Growth Initiation settled at the core, its emerald light pulsing outward. Cellular Regeneration orbited around it, reinforcing the central truth. Essence Circulation and Moisture Stabilization formed a secondary layer, their flows complementing each other. The remaining fragments positioned themselves in precise geometric patterns, each one supporting the others.

Adrian made minute adjustments, shifting a fragment slightly left, rotating another to better align with its neighbors. The process demanded absolute focus. A single misplacement could destabilize the entire structure, causing it to collapse back into unformed potential.

Sweat beaded on his physical body's forehead despite his consciousness being elsewhere.

The fragments resisted at first, their natural tendencies pulling them toward chaos. But Adrian's willforce held them firm, guiding them into harmony through patient insistence. Slowly, the resistance faded. The fragments began resonating with each other, their individual lights blending into a unified glow.

When the formation stabilized internally, Adrian felt it immediately. A quiet pulse resonated through his Source Seed, followed by a steady expansion within his Mana Sea.

His mana capacity increased by three thousand units. This was a mid-tier divine concept.

Adrian briefly considered incorporating additional rules from concepts such as Fire to enhance it further. However, he deliberately chose not to complicate the structure. Since this divine concept would be taught to others, it needed to remain accessible. A mid-tier concept was sufficient and practical.

Adding Fire might push it toward high-tier, increasing the capacity boost to five thousand units. Tempting, but shortsighted. His people needed something they could actually master, not a bloated monstrosity that demanded decades of study before yielding results.

Simplicity had value.

He examined the newly formed chamber. It glowed with a green-gold hue, and its essence closely mirrored the divine concept embedded within the Azure Garden. He also noticed that the earlier Plant and Wood chamber was no longer a proper divine concept but merely a fragmented structure. That did not concern him, as it was no longer necessary.

The old chamber had served its purpose as a testing ground. Now it was obsolete, its useful components extracted and repurposed into something far superior. Adrian considered dismantling it, but decided against it. Leaving it intact served as a reminder of how far he'd progressed.

Adrian opened his eyes.

The Azure Garden materialized around him once more, mist swirling lazily through the air. He stood smoothly, brushing dirt from his robes.

To evaluate the concept, he activated its divine domain.

Green-gold light rippled outward from his body, spreading in a smooth wave across the Azure Garden. The domain extended several kilometers, washing over the plants.

Adrian stood still, observing.

The plants within range responded immediately. Leaves unfurled with visible eagerness, their surfaces drinking in the essence. Stems straightened, their cellular structures reinforcing themselves. Even the soil seemed to breathe, its mineral composition subtly optimizing to better support root networks.

He walked forward slowly, letting the domain move with him. Everywhere it touched, growth accelerated. Not dramatically, this wasn't some explosive transformation, but steadily, measurably.

More interestingly, he saw that this domain also had healing capabilities as its inert properties. It was faster than the Life concept. When he'd used his Life arcane domain before, healing occurred, but sluggishly with just the domain. But this was different. The combination of Life's regenerative properties, Water's circulation enhancement, Light's energetic stimulation, and Plant's structural reinforcement created something synergistic.

Each concept amplified the others.

Adrian dismissed the domain and stood quietly for a moment, processing what he'd observed. The divine concept functioned exactly as intended, a growth-focused framework that could sustain an entire ecosystem whilst simultaneously healing those within it.

Perfect for the Azure Garden's needs.

Satisfied, he retrieved his UNI-OS token from his spatial ring and activated the Stage Detection System. He turned the scanner toward himself, curious what designation the universal database would assign to this particular divine concept.

The interface projected before him, holographic text materializing in crisp blue lettering against the air.

› Detected 1 Early Rule Stage — Mid-Tier Divine Concept

› Divine Concept: Verdant Genesis

› Estimated Authority Range: 17–18%

Adrian studied the readout.

Verdant Genesis.

Someone, somewhere in the universe, had already discovered this particular fusion of arcane concepts and named it, or it was named by this ancient minor sect long before.

Not surprising, really.

Adrian dismissed the interface and looked across the Azure Garden once more. Mist swirled through the air, carrying the scent of a thousand plants. Somewhere in the distance, water dripped from leaves into the ground.

He'd successfully reverse-engineered the divine concept.
