Cassian woke up with a rare ache in his chest. The good kind, the soft one like he'd swallowed the sun and it hadn't burned him alive.
His omega was pressed against him, warm and breathing softly while his limbs spread like he owned the entire bed and Cassian was lucky enough to be allowed onto the mattress. Elias's hair was mashed against Cassian's forearm, his mouth parted, face relaxed in a way Cassian had never truly seen except after kissing him stupid.
Cassian hadn't realized he was smiling until Elias shifted, mumbling something that sounded suspiciously like "move, or I'll tell mum. You're hogging the bed. "
Cute.
Cassian didn't move. He couldn't. Not when the weight of Elias's thighs rested lightly across his own, not when the scent of him was tangled all over Cassian's skin. His body still buzzed with satisfaction from the night before, from Elias pulling him close like Cassian.
The idiot. His beautiful idiot.
