Ch: 166-173

Chapter 166

Bai Ye did not answer, his gaze fixed on an ordinary apartment building in the distance.

Super Vision penetrated the walls, revealing an Asian teenager hunched over his desk, pulling an all-nighter to finish homework. A Midtown School of Science and Technology student ID lay on the table.

"How about that one?" Bai Ye pointed and gestured.

Mei narrowed her eyes, and the high-tech equipment on her mask quickly scanned the area.

"Russell? All A grades, school basketball team, father is a firefighter."

She pulled up the miniature computer on her wrist and looked at the data on it.

"Huh? He even stopped a case of school bullying last week? Potential!"

"No rush." Bai Ye withdrew his gaze. "We'll observe for a few more days."

Mei smiled slyly and teased Bai Ye:

"So this is your method of inspection? Secretly acting as someone's Guardian Angel?"

At that moment, the first ray of sunlight pierced the clouds in the morning light.

Bai Ye turned to look at the gradually waking city and asked Mei, "Where are we going today?"

Mei cheered and swung on a Web, leading the way: "Dim sum in Chinatown! I know a place where the shrimp dumplings are super..."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!"

She couldn't finish her sentence because Bai Ye had already grabbed the back of her collar and soared into the air.

"You're too slow. Just point the way."

The two figures cut directly through the dawn sky, flying toward their destination.

Meanwhile, in the distant room, the teenager named Russell opened the window and rubbed his eyes in confusion.

He swore he saw something fly past, but the sky was empty now.

After watching for a long time and finding nothing, Russell listlessly pulled his body back inside..

The morning Sun shone on the streets of New York, and the air still held the freshness of last night's rain.

Russell carried his backpack, listening to rock music on his headphones, his fingers lightly tapping the strap in time with the rhythm.

He was walking to school, humming a tune slightly off-key.

Bang!

Suddenly, a gunshot broke the morning silence.

The crowd instantly panicked, and screams erupted everywhere.

Russell's music was interrupted by reality. He abruptly pulled off his headphones and looked in the direction of the sound.

In front of the corner convenience store, a white-haired old woman was desperately clutching her handbag.

Opposite her was a masked robber, the gun in his hand still smoking.

"Let go, you old hag!" the robber threatened viciously.

The old woman's voice trembled, but she spoke stubbornly:

"No, this is the money for my husband's surgery, please."

Seeing this scene, Russell stopped dead in his tracks.

High above, May Parker was cross-legged and suspended in the air, watching with great interest, chin in hand.

"Wow, the test came sooner than expected!"

Bai Ye stood with his arms crossed, a Bio-Force Field enveloping both of them.

The invisible barrier ensured the crowd below was completely unaware of their presence.

"What do you think he'll do?" Mei tilted her head and asked.

Bai Ye did not answer, his gaze locked onto Russell.

Russell took a deep breath and looked around. The surrounding crowd had already retreated far away; no one dared to step forward.

"Alright."

"If Dad finds out I skipped class to fight, he'll definitely kill me."

The next second, Russell abruptly took off his backpack, swung it in a circle, and his eyes instantly sharpened.

Russell raised the backpack in his hand, aiming the side with the metal trinkets at the robber.

Russell immediately started running quickly. Taking advantage of the robber's attention being focused on the old woman, he threw the backpack directly at him.

"Bang!"

Driven by the force of the sprint and the throw, the backpack smashed heavily into the robber's face.

"Ah!"

The robber let out a scream and stumbled backward. His nose, struck by the metal trinket, immediately started bleeding profusely.

Russell didn't pause after throwing the backpack, turning immediately for a roundhouse kick.

This kick instantly knocked down two accomplices holding knives nearby.

The entire sequence of movements was extremely clean and precise, clearly indicating training.

This was also why Russell, even though Mei was floating high above, had noticed the unusual movement outside the window earlier.

"Kung Fu?"

Mei sat suspended in the air, her eyes wide as she exclaimed.

"Holy shit! High school students learn this?"

Bai Ye raised an eyebrow slightly, a hint of interest flashing in his eyes: "Interesting."

The head robber below reacted quickly, immediately grabbing the old woman around the neck.

He then held the pistol, pressed the muzzle against her temple, and shouted:

"Fuck, don't move! I'll shoot if you move again!"

Russell froze instantly, raising his hands in surrender.

"Hey, buddy! Calm down, calm down! Don't be rash!"

The robber's hand was shaking; clearly, he hadn't expected the situation to escalate this much.

Russell's mind raced, and he suddenly put on an exaggerated expression.

"Look, buddy, seriously, an old woman can't have much money, right? How much can be in her bag?"

"Why don't we do this? I know a bank up ahead with terrible security. I'm pretty good at hacking; I can help you break in."

Hearing Russell's words, the robbers were stunned: "What?"

"Hey, it's totally true! I just watched 'Baby Bus' last week, and I learned a lot from it!"

"Besides, the market for your line of work is bad right now. Robbing a convenience store? That doesn't suit your status! You should at least go for an armored car, right?"

Mei burst into laughter in the air and quipped, "This guy talks more than I do."

A flicker of amusement crossed Bai Ye's eyes: "He's stalling for time."

Sure enough, siren sounds could be heard from the distance.

The robber panicked, his hand trembled... "Bang!"

A gunshot rang out!

The old woman closed her eyes in terror, but the anticipated pain never came.

She tremblingly opened her eyes and found that the bullet had gone astray, embedding itself deep into the nearby wall.

High in the sky, Bai Ye remained silent. At the critical moment, Telekinesis was activated, shifting the bullet's trajectory.

Although Russell didn't know why the bullet missed, he didn't waste the opportunity.

He darted forward, grabbed the robber's wrist, twisted it, and the gun clattered to the ground.

Following up, Russell delivered a Black Mamba Elbow Strike, and the robber instantly collapsed.

After taking down the robber, Russell stepped forward, helped the old woman up, handed her bag back, and asked with concern, "Are you alright?"

Tears filled the old woman's eyes. She tightly grasped his hand and thanked him:

"Thank you, child. Oh God, I don't know how to thank you. You saved my life!"

Russell scratched his head, slightly embarrassed: "It's nothing, nothing. I was just passing by. It's not safe here. You should leave quickly. The Police might come soon to take statements, and that will be troublesome."

He helped the old woman hail a taxi and watched her leave.

Only then did he pick up his backpack, dust it off, look around to make sure no one was watching, and quickly slip away.

Mei excitedly swung in a circle in the air and clapped her hands in praise.

"White, that was great! This guy has good fighting skills, fast reactions, and he even thought to protect the old woman's privacy!"

Bai Ye nodded: "Character, qualified."

Mei blinked and whispered, "So, should we arrange the Spider Gene?"

Bai Ye watched Russell's retreating figure, looked up at the sky, and shook his head:

"No rush. If my guess is correct, things will soon proceed in the direction I anticipated."

In the following hours, Bai Ye and Mei tracked Russell and observed his day at school.

Based on Russell's performance in school, they discovered that he was also a genius in mathematics and physics.

Not only that, Russell also had a good friend at school, as well as a beautiful girl as a deskmate.

Judging by their conversation, their relationships must be quite good.

All of this constantly aligned with the character setting and relationships of Spider-Man Peter.

"Wow, this is getting more and more like the Spider-Man story."

"The academic genius persona, the good friend, and the female classmate he gets along with."

Mei hung upside down on a wall several hundred meters outside Russell's classroom, sighing with emotion.

"Focus a little. If Spider-Man doesn't understand science, how can he invent his Webs?"

At this moment, Bai Ye's fingers moved slightly, his expression shifting as he stated directly:

"It's coming soon!"

Soon, it was after school, and the setting Sun painted the streets of New York crimson.

After finishing bragging with his friend, Russell left school and jogged through the crowd.

From afar, he saw the Fire Truck his father was on parked in front of an office building.

A person was hanging high up, and the surrounding people were all looking up and watching.

It seemed his father was on another mission. This was his father, an unsung City Hero.

Just as Russell was about to wave and greet his father nearby, an accident occurred...

Just as Russell was about to greet his father, his father, to better set up the ladder, happened to walk around to the building's entrance.

At that moment, a figure rushed out from inside. Seeing Russell's father blocking his path, the person actually pulled a dagger from his pocket.

"Pfft!"

The sharp dagger plunged into Russell's father's abdomen. The assailant was a middle-aged man with a look of madness on his face.

Chapter 167

His blood-stained face showed impatience, and the firefighters roared as they pounced, but the killer had already bolted.

"Dad!"

Russell's cry was stuck in his throat. He didn't hesitate, enduring his grief to quickly chase after the killer.

Time seemed to stand still at this moment.

Mei, high in the air, subconsciously tried to shoot out a web, but Bai Ye stopped her.

A jade-colored glow emanated from his fingertips, and the healing energy of the horse silently entered Father Luo's body.

On the ground, Father Luo, who was about to fall, suddenly stood firm, bewilderedly touching his instantly healed abdomen.

Father Luo and his colleagues watched this scene in shock, looking around in confusion, no one knowing what had happened.

The onlookers gasped, and the killer had already turned into an alley, with Russell in hot pursuit.

"Aren't we going to help him?" May Parker looked at Bai Ye in confusion.

Bai Ye shook his head, stating directly, "Let's see his choice first."

In the dark alley, Russell's eyes were bloodshot, his backpack slapping against his back as he ran.

The killer, desperate, ran into a dead end, turned around, and raised his dripping knife.

"Kid, don't come any closer!"

Russell's flying kick was his answer. The dagger clanged to the ground, and the killer was kicked against the wall.

The young man grabbed the opponent's collar, his fist stopping in mid-air with a whoosh.

"Please, please don't..." The killer was crying and snotting.

"My daughter is waiting for money at the hospital."

Russell's hand was trembling, and the Police sirens at the alley entrance grew closer.

"Then go to jail and repent."

He let go, understanding that he couldn't kill, couldn't commit a crime.

Mei, on the rooftop, clenched her fist and waved it, shouting, "Beautiful! Perfect pass..."

"No, it's not over yet, actually." Bai Ye continued to watch.

Sure enough, while Russell was distracted, a fierce glint appeared in the killer's eyes, and he suddenly pulled out a pistol from his lower back.

Clearly, his previous words were merely to deceive Russell, to make him drop his guard and deliver a fatal blow.

"Bang!"

A bullet grazed Russell's ear. His instinct made him grab the dagger from the ground and stab it back.

"Ugh!" The killer collapsed on the spot, clutching his bleeding neck.

Russell staggered back, looking at his blood-stained hand: "Did I kill someone?"

With a clang, the dagger dropped from Russell's hand.

Russell, terrified by his own actions, fell to the ground, his ears ringing.

This scene was a peculiar recreation of Tobey Spider-Man's situation, where the killer died accidentally.

"Well done."

At this moment, a low male voice made Russell suddenly look up.

Behind him, two figures had appeared silently: a man in black and a girl in a red and blue uniform.

"Who are you?"

Mei pulled up her mask and said directly, "Actually, your father just..."

"He was stabbed, his injuries are very serious."

Bai Ye interrupted Mei, squatting down to be at eye level with Russell.

"In this situation, you still thought of catching the killer and bringing him to justice, instead of seeking revenge."

Hearing Bai Ye's words, Russell shook his head: "No, no, no, I still..."

"I know, but that was just an accident."

"Many things are full of accidents and uncertainties, just like you meeting us."

As he spoke, Bai Ye's eyes glowed red, and he tilted his head slightly, shooting a beam towards the killer's corpse.

Then Russell noticed that the killer's corpse was turning into ashes in the red light.

"Wait! What exactly is going on?"

"The scene has been cleaned up."

After dealing with the killer's body, Bai Ye stood up, clapped his hands, and said to Russell, "Now, I have a proposition for you."

Mei excitedly bounced over and asked him, "Do you want to become a superhero?"

"Spider-Man?"

Russell suddenly interjected, looking at May Parker's suit, his eyes gradually clearing from confusion.

"You are Spider-Man? Wait, isn't Spider-Man dead? Never mind, how's my dad's injury?"

Bai Ye stated directly, "Don't worry, he's out of danger."

At this moment, the night wind carried the lingering sound of Police sirens through the alley.

Russell looked at his no longer trembling hands and suddenly asked:

"What if I had really punched him to Death then?"

"You would lose your qualification?"

May Parker said, but her gaze turned to Bai Ye, as if seeking his opinion.

"Justice requires restraint, but it should not be infinitely tolerant of evil deeds."

Bai Ye shook his head, stating his view... May Parker smiled at Russell and asked again:

"So... young man, do you want to become a superhero? Like Spider-Man!"

Russell looked towards the faint lights of the fire truck at the alley entrance; the Police were approaching.

The young man wiped the blood from his face, revealing a determined smile.

"Let me go back and check on my father first."

At night, in his bedroom, Russell sat on the edge of his bed, his fingertips unconsciously tapping his knees.

The moonlight outside the window was suddenly blocked by a shadow. Bai Ye and May Parker floated silently outside the window.

"Wow, what an entrance." Russell opened the window, lowering his voice.

"My parents are next door, keep it down."

Mei deftly flipped into the room, looking around.

"What have you decided? Do you want to become New York's coolest guy?"

Bai Ye was more direct, stating, "The choice is yours."

Russell took a deep breath, his gaze shifting between the two, then quickly raised several questions.

"If I become a superhero, what do I need to give up? My studies? Family? A normal life?"

Bai Ye shook his head, saying decisively, "You don't need to."

"What?" Russell was instantly bewildered.

"No one gives up anything; Spider-Man still goes to school." Bai Ye's fingertips glowed faintly.

"Being a hero is a choice, not a meaningless sacrifice."

Mei leaned in to add, "Like me, I still binge-watch shows and eat junk food."

Russell suddenly smiled, his hesitation completely gone. He stood up and said:

"I understand, I want to try!"

Bai Ye nodded, placing his right hand on Mei's shoulder.

Special energy ripples spread out, and Mei's eyes widened in surprise.

"Bai, why is my Spider-Sense activating?"

"Don't rush, I'm taking a genetic sample." Flowing light swirled in Bai Ye's pupils.

"The DNA of the mutated spider, the bloodline characteristics of the Parker family, neural response patterns... replication complete."

After completing these tasks with Divine Talent, Bai Ye turned to Russell and touched the young man's forehead with his index finger.

A torrent of blue energy surged in, and Russell's body trembled violently.

His blood vessels felt as if liquid sunlight had been injected, his bones made subtle popping sounds, and his vision suddenly became incredibly clear.

He perceived many things around him: his parents next door, the structure of Mei's web-shooters on her wrist not far away, and so on...

"Ugh!"

The prolonged perception suddenly made Russell's head ache, and he knelt on the ground, fine beads of sweat seeping from his skin.

When he looked up again, his palm was firmly stuck to the floor.

"Adaptation period is 24 hours." Bai Ye withdrew his finger.

"Pain sensitivity will double, don't stub your toe."

Mei grinned, tossed him a USB drive, and said directly:

"This contains all the costume designs of my dad, uh, Peter Parker from my Universe. Just change the color scheme and you can use them!"

Russell flexed his powerful fingers, then suddenly asked, "Why did you choose me?"

After finishing these tasks, Bai Ye had already floated towards the window.

"We didn't choose you; you stood at the starting point of destiny yourself."

Under the moonlight, Mei stood on the windowsill, turned back, winked at Russell, and said playfully:

"Superhero or supervillain, it's up to you."

The two figures vanished into the night.

The room fell silent. Russell gazed at his hands, then suddenly rushed to his desk.

His pencil danced wildly on the paper, lines gradually forming the outline of a red and blue suit.

He paused for a moment, then drew a small firefighter badge on the chest.

Outside the window, Bai Ye and Mei hadn't actually gone far, hiding on a nearby tall building, watching this scene.

"Just letting him go at it alone?" Mei squatted on the eaves, asking.

"I trained myself for three months back then!"

Bai Ye looked at the flashing Police helicopters in the distance, stating directly:

"Either fly or fall; that's the best selection process."

Mei's face suddenly broke into a mischievous grin: "Want to bet how long he can last? I bet he'll be beaten into the hospital by Kingpin's remnants within two weeks!"

No sooner had she spoken than a muffled thud and a suppressed cry of pain came from Russell's room.

Clearly, someone was suffering the backlash of not mastering his new powers... The New York night was as usual, streetlights casting long shadows on the damp pavement.

Chapter 168

May Parker, carrying a bag of freshly borrowed potato chips, crunched away as she ambled behind Bai Ye.

"So, what exactly are we waiting for?"

Mei kicked small stones on the roadside, bored as she ate her chips.

"I haven't even encountered a single thief these past few days. Maybe I should change careers and go to school."

Bai Ye, hands in his pockets, scanned the quiet street and stated directly, "Enemies don't give you advance notice."

"But at least give us some clues!" Mei pouted.

"Like some evil organization, or an alien invasion, or at least a few bank robbers."

No sooner had her words fallen than a black rift suddenly tore open in the sky!

"Crack!"

An ear-piercing tearing sound ripped through the night sky, and two dark figures crashed down, instantly cracking the asphalt road and kicking up dust.

"Alright, as you wish." Bai Ye shrugged.

Mei's spider sense exploded instantly, and she leaped back, assuming a combat stance.

"What?!"

In the dust, two crimson eyes slowly lit up.

"I didn't expect to encounter a spider totem as soon as we arrived." A deep male voice echoed, filled with bloodthirsty excitement.

"And a fresh one at that." Another female voice added with a chuckle.

Hearing their words, Mei's face instantly turned pale: "The Inheritor Family?!"

The dust dissipated, revealing the true forms of the two: a tall man in a black cape, pale skin covered in dark red patterns.

The woman, meanwhile, wore a tight combat suit, with sharp bone spurs extending from her fingertips.

Karn and Brix, the most ferocious hunters of the Inheritor Family.

Karn looked at Mei, licked his lips, and said with a bloody expression, "Little Spider, your blood smells special."

Brix, on the other hand, tilted her head to look at Bai Ye: "Who is this? Doesn't smell like a totem."

Bai Ye still had his hands in his pockets, his expression unchanged: "Just the two of you?"

Karn sneered, not bothering to take Bai Ye seriously.

"Enough to kill you."

Instead, the next second... "Bang! Bang!"

Two dull thuds exploded almost simultaneously!

Karn and Brix didn't even see Bai Ye's movements before intense pain shot through their abdomens.

They were instantly sent flying backward, crashing through several houses before finally stopping!

Watching the power Bai Ye casually displayed, Mei's mouth hung open wide enough to fit an entire apple, and a curse word slipped out in her native tongue:

"Holy crap!!!"

In the distance, an angry roar came from the ruins.

"Ah!!!"

Karn pushed away the concrete blocks pressing on him, his abdominal wound healing at a visible rate.

He looked at Bai Ye, who was standing calmly in the distance, and loudly demanded, "You, what exactly are you?!"

Brix leaped out of the dust, her bone spurs growing longer.

"I want a taste of his blood!"

Facing their arrogant tone, Bai Ye slightly tilted his head and said to Mei, "Step back."

Before Mei could react, two dark figures tore through the air and lunged forward.

Karn's claws aimed directly for Bai Ye's throat, and Brix's bone spurs targeted his heart.

"Too slow."

Bai Ye's figure suddenly blurred. Karn's claws stopped, and Brix's bone spurs hung suspended in mid-air, as if frozen.

The next second, Bai Ye appeared behind both of them, simultaneously pressing his hands on the back of their heads.

"Boom!!!"

Their faces were slammed hard into the ground, and the terrifying Impact shattered all the glass on the entire street.

Mei instinctively covered her ears, exclaiming, "This commotion, worthy of Superman!"

In the dust, Bai Ye single-handedly lifted Karn, whose face was covered in blood, and said disdainfully:

"Is this all the Inheritor Family are capable of?"

Looking at Bai Ye before him, fear finally appeared in Karn's eyes, and he said in disbelief, "Impossible, how can a human be so strong?"

"Who told you I was an ordinary person?"

Bai Ye smiled, and with his other hand, he grabbed the neck of the lunging Brix, slamming her heavily onto the ground.

Crack!

A loud sound of bones cracking echoed clearly from both of them.

Mei's scalp tingled, "Are they... dead?"

"Not that easily."

Bai Ye released his grip, watching their twisted bodies begin to reassemble.

"The Inheritor Family' regeneration ability comes from higher-dimensional energy."

Indeed, before long, Karn's broken neck had healed. He gasped, stepping back, and loudly demanded:

"Who exactly are you?! Why are you protecting the spider totem?!"

Bai Ye didn't answer, but instead looked up at the sky, where the rift was expanding...

Bai Ye looked at the rift in the sky and suddenly said, "Mei, contact Russell."

"Huh? Now?! He's only been mutated for a day!"

Mei was surprised but still fumbled to pull out her communicator and contact Russell.

"The Inheritor Family don't act alone." Golden light shimmered in Bai Ye's eyes.

"Their family members are crossing dimensions."

As if to confirm his words, three more figures descended from the rift.

The stronger Solus, Morlun wielding an energy spear, and Daemos, completely encased in metal.

Seeing this, Mei's communicator clattered to the ground, her face pale: "It's over, the whole family meal has arrived."

Solus's gaze locked onto Bai Ye: "Are you the one who hurt my children?"

Looking at Solus, Bai Ye showed a hint of interest, and his armor silently covered his entire body.

Mei quickly picked up the communicator and shouted to Russell on the other end:

"Russell! Whether your suit is ready or not, we're doomed!!"

At home, Russell, who had just finished sewing his homemade armor, looked at the blaring communicator in confusion:

"Huh?!"

Bai Ye waved his hand, indicating that Mei didn't need to panic, and snapped his fingers.

"Crack!"

Fragments of the Mirror Dimension reassembled beneath their feet, folding the entire New York street into an infinitely extending battlefield.

The members of the Inheritor Family family were only momentarily stunned, then sneered with disdain.

"A little trick from Kamar-Taj."

Solus rotated his wrists, his knuckles cracking loudly.

"Do you think we haven't killed sorcerers before?"

Bai Ye, however, merely smiled faintly, modifying the Power of Ten Billion Gods value and enhancing the Tiger Talisman effect.

Then Bai Ye raised a finger and pointed it at the Inheritor Family.

"Good and Evil Differentiation."

"Buzz!"

Black and white interwoven energy ripples instantly swept through the entire space!

The bodies of all Inheritor members suddenly split into doppelgangers.

In the dazzling light, a gentle-faced version of each ferocious hunter stood beside them.

"W-what is this?"

Karn's eyes widened as he looked at the clone beside him, who looked exactly like him but wore a peaceful smile.

The good version of Brix curiously touched her bone spurs.

"Wow, so this is what it looks like?"

May Parker, seeing this, no longer panicked. She pulled out a bucket of popcorn from somewhere and sat cross-legged on a magically appearing stone platform to watch the show.

With the appearance of good and evil, chaos erupted.

"Kill them!"

Solus roared and lunged at Bai Ye, only to find his good-natured clone firmly hugging his waist.

"Violence doesn't solve problems!"

The good Solus earnestly spoke to Solus.

"We can sit down and talk!"

"Damn it, let go of me! You weak imitation!"

On the other side, Karn was already wrestling with his clone.

Whenever he tried to attack Bai Ye, the good Karn would precisely block him.

"Hey, buddy, calm down! Your inner anger stems from childhood trauma!"

The most entertaining was Brix; her good-natured clone was braiding her hair with bone spurs.

"Your hairstyle is too fierce, how about pigtails?"

"I'll rip your mouth off!" The irritable Brix shrieked.

Mei laughed so hard she almost rolled off the stone platform, spilling popcorn everywhere.

"Hahaha, they're fighting themselves! This is better than a TV show!"

Bai Ye had also sat down on the stone platform at some point, a cold cola in his hand, joining the crowd watching the spectacle.

"The principle of this ability is to stimulate the opposing essence within the target. These good-natured entities possess exactly the same strength, but..."

"But they're full of platitudes!" Mei interjected, pointing to the center of the arena.

"Exactly. As long as their strength doesn't exceed mine, they will all be differentiated by me." Bai Yenodded.

At this moment, the famous Morlun was being held down by his good-natured self, receiving psychological counseling.

"You're addicted to hunting because of a lack of paternal love, I understand, but..."

"I'll kill you!!"

Before the good Morlun could finish speaking, Morlun yelled in anger, interrupting him.

Chapter 169

Daimons' metal shell was painted pink by the Benevolent Entity: "Look! What a warm color!"

Solus finally broke free from the restraints of his doppelgangers and shrieked hysterically:

"Forget those fakes! Kill that human first!"

Hearing this, the Inheritors all burst forth with their full power to break free from the entanglement, pouncing on Bai Ye once again.

Then, one by one, they were once again tackled by their own benevolent entities!

"No! You can't hurt others!"

"Violence begetting violence only leads to a vicious cycle!"

".We resolve conflicts with love!"

Bai Ye took a sip of cola and commented with satisfaction: "The effect is better than expected."

Mei wiped away tears of laughter: "Their faces are green with anger! Wait!"

She suddenly noticed something and pointed to the corner with a curious expression, asking:

"What is that man with the mustache doing?"

Morlun's Benevolent Entity had, at some point, set up a projector and was playing home videos for the irritable Morlun.

"Look, this is when you were five, and Father refused to celebrate your birthday with you."

"Ahhh... turn it off!" Morlun screamed, covering his eyes.

If this were a certain crazy Universe, he would probably be shouting: Quack! Don't make me watch this! Otherwise, I'll dig out my own eyeballs! Quack!

Repeatedly suppressed by his benevolent self, Solus finally realized the seriousness of the problem.

He stopped, panting, and glared fiercely at Bai Ye, uttering a threat.

"You think this can trap us? The Inheritors' power comes from something you cannot comprehend."

"Are you referring to the Totem Consumption Protocol from a higher dimension?"

Bai Ye suddenly cut off Solus, his eyes filled with disdain.

"Don't worry, I've already thought it through. I've already set up the magic circle."

He snapped his fingers, and the sky of the Mirror Dimension suddenly became transparent, revealing the real New York night sky outside.

Hundreds of golden chains stretched out from the void, sealing the original Dimensional Rift airtight.

"Impossible!"

Seeing this scene, Solus's face showed an expression of terror for the first time.

"How can you seal the Family Passage?!"

Mei, sitting next to Bai Ye, smugly wiggled her toes.

"Surprised? This big shot next to me has cosmic-level magic; you can't do anything to him!"

Seeing that Bai Ye had taken care of the Portal, all the benevolent entities suddenly stopped in unison and turned to look at Bai Ye.

"We have a request," Benevolent Solus spoke on their behalf.

"Please allow us to take these malevolent entities to the Mental Healing Center for treatment."

Listening to the benevolent entities, the Inheritors collectively collapsed, shouting:

"F*ck, who the hell wants to go to a place like that!!!"

"Sorry, no."

Bai Ye flatly refused the benevolent entities' request, a playful glint in his eyes.

A emerald green light suddenly glowed on his fingertip, and the Power of Ten Billion Gods-enhanced Monkey Talisman energy rippled through the air.

"Meow?!"

Under the horrified gaze of the Inheritors, their bodies began to rapidly shrink and deform.

Solus was the first to notice the anomaly; his sharp claws turned into soft, pink paw pads, and his black cloak transformed into fluffy fur.

In the blink of an eye, all the notoriously fierce Inheritor Family members turned into fluffy Hajjimi!

"This, this is ridiculous!" Benevolent Solus widened his cat eyes.

"You can't treat us like this, meow?!"

Even the benevolent entities had turned into cats and were now anxiously circling Bai Ye.

"Sir! Violent transformation violates basic moral principles, meow!"

Bai Ye watched these benevolent entities try to lecture him. He raised an eyebrow and snapped his fingers.

"Buzz!"

All the Benevolent Entity cats instantly turned into streaks of light, forced to return to their original Inheritor bodies.

"Meow-ow!!!"

Without the disruption of the benevolent entities, the Inheritor cat swarm bristled, hissing madly!

Although they had turned into Hajjimi, they still retained all their abilities.

Karn was the first to explode, sharp energy blades extending from his cat claws.

Brix's tail bone spurs grew rapidly, and Solus even took directly to the air, blood-colored energy swirling around him.

"Careful!"

May Parker cried out in alarm, but the next second, her worry turned into booming laughter.

Bai Ye's eyes flashed again, and the Inheritors suddenly began to deform strangely.

Solus turned into a combination of a cat's head and an eagle's body, flapping his wings but unable to fly.

Karn grew rabbit ears and kangaroo hind legs, hopping and losing his balance.

The worst was Morlun, who was directly transformed into a sea turtle cat, his huge shell rendering him immobile.

"Hahaha!" May Parker laughed, slapping her thigh.

"What is this, a collection of magical beasts?!"

The Inheritors discovered with horror that their bodies were out of control, various organs interfering with each other.

Just as Solus tried to fire an energy wave, his owl-like neck twisted into a pretzel.

Karn's kangaroo leg pushed off, and the entire cat spun and crashed into the wall.

Bai Ye watched the comical scene with satisfaction, raising his hand to lift all the Inheritors into the air with Telekinesis.

"Game over."

As his voice fell, a red light flared in Bai Ye's eyes, and Heat Vision swept across.

"Sizzle!"

A group of strangely shaped cats fell to the ground with a clatter, then completely went silent.

Tsk tsk tsk, this Bai Ye guy is clearly a cat lover!

May Parker hopped over, shot them a few times with webbing, and asked curiously: "So, they're dead?"

Bai Ye put away his armor and said directly: "The Power of Transformation combined with Heat Visionis enough to send them to meet God."

Bai Ye dispelled the Mirror Dimension and looked at the closing Dimensional Rift: "The problem is solved. The Inheritor Family's lair is in a higher dimension; this was just the vanguard."

Mei suddenly thought of something, her expression changed, and her tone was not good.

"Wait! What about the Inheritors who came in later, I mean, if they're after the spider totem, then Russell?"

Mei immediately opened her watch, and Russell's disheveled figure appeared in the holographic projection.

The young man, wearing a homemade red and blue battlesuit, was being chased by three Black-Robed People, running wildly across rooftops!

"Help! These lunatics say my blood smells delicious!!"

Bai Ye was amused and raised his hand to open a golden Portal.

"Let's go!"

May Parker rushed in with him without hesitation.

Queens, New York

Russell gasped for breath, clumsily leaping between buildings.

His spider-sense was frantically warning him, with three Black-Robed hunters hot on his heels.

"Little Spider, don't run!"

The leading woman sneered, sharp bone spurs extending from her fingertips.

"Your blood will make our family stronger!"

Russell had only mutated less than 48 hours ago and was still very unfamiliar with controlling his abilities.

He made a mistake, his webbing didn't stick firmly, and he fell from mid-air!

"Oh no!"

Just as he was about to crash into a dumpster in the alley, a dark shadow flashed by.

Bai Ye grabbed him by the back of his collar with one hand, landing steadily.

"Yo, rookie."

May Parker landed lightly, swinging on webbing, and stood in front of Russell, teasing with a smile:

"Overtime on your first day of work?"

Russell, still shaken, asked: "You guys finally came! What are these guys?!"

The Black-Robed hunters stopped, vigilantly staring at Bai Ye: "Who are you?"

Bai Ye glanced at them and said faintly: "Solus was killed by me. Haven't you left yet?"

"What, you killed My Lord Solus?!" the woman said sharply.

"Even if that's the case, so what? The blood of the spider totem, we must have it!"

The woman took a deep breath, pushing the matter of Solus out of her mind, her eyes fierce.

May Parker rolled her eyes and grumbled impatiently: "Can you villains be any more stupid?"

Bai Ye shook his head, not intending to play with these guys anymore.

"Wasting time."

He didn't move his feet, but simply raised his right hand and gently clenched his five fingers.

"Bang!"

The bodies of the three Inheritor Hunters froze simultaneously, as if a pause button had been pressed.

Their skin began to crack, and dazzling golden light burst forth from the fissures.

"No, this is impossible!"

The female Inheritor Hunter struggled to look down, watching her body disintegrate.

May Parker and Russell watched this scene, dumbfounded.

The three hunters' bodies, like weathered sand sculptures, turned into grains of sand little by little, starting from their limbs.

Their screams hadn't fully escaped before they completely vanished into the air, leaving no trace behind.

Telekinesis combined with elementary Matter Reorganization was enough to deal with these people.

Bai Ye used to be too lazy to use it, but that didn't mean he couldn't; he had too many abilities to defeat enemies.

Most of the time, it was something that could be solved with a single punch.

"Done."

Chapter 170

Bai Ye lowered his hand, turned to look at Russell, and asked, "Are you hurt?"

Russell shook his head mechanically and stammered, "You just..."

"Turned them to ashes?"

May Parker chimed in; she was already used to it.

"You'll get used to it. This big shot never needs a second move to deal with enemies."

Bai Ye glanced at the sky, which had returned to normal, and said to the two:

"The Inheritor Family won't bother you anymore. Their lair is in a higher dimension. After losing several elite hunters this time, they won't dare to act rashly for a short period."

In reality, Bai Ye had detected that the Lunatic Gang member hidden among the Inheritors earlier had been killed by him.

Without that guy causing trouble, it would be difficult for ordinary Inheritors to find this Universe.

Even though the Inheritors inherently have a perception of Spider-Man in the Marvel setting.

But the Multiverse is vast, and even the Inheritors would find it difficult to precisely locate this Universe.

Bai Ye withdrew his gaze from the sky and turned to May Parker and Russell, saying, "The crisis has been resolved."

May Parker keenly sensed something, her eyes widening slightly under her mask as she asked, "Are you leaving?"

"Yes, my mission is complete." Bai Ye nodded.

May Parker's fingers unconsciously twisted her web-shooters, her voice dropping a few octaves: "Then... will we ever meet again?"

Bai Ye chuckled softly, raising his hand to draw a golden streak of light in the air.

"Tell me your Universe coordinates."

May Parker's eyes lit up, and she quickly rattled off a string of numbers.

As a Spider-Man who can travel independently with technology, Mei naturally knew the coordinates of her Universe.

Bai Ye nodded, recording the information of Mei's Universe.

"When I have time, I'll see how you're doing as Spider-Man."

May Parker finally smiled. She hugged Bai Ye tightly, then turned and walked towards the Portal Bai Yehad opened for her.

Before stepping through, Mei turned back, waved her fist, and shouted loudly:

"Remember to bring a local specialty when you come!"

"No problem!"

After making the agreement with Bai Ye, Mei disappeared into the Portal.

After Mei had completely left, Bai Ye turned to look at the uneasy Russell.

"Now, you are the Spider-Man of this Universe."

Bai Ye's tone was calm as he imparted the teachings he had given to the Little Spider of his own Universe to Russell.

"Remember, being merciful to your enemies is being cruel to yourself. If someone tries to kill you..."

"Then eliminate them."

Russell replied very understandingly, his eyes filled with determination.

"It's good that you understand this point!"

Bai Ye nodded in satisfaction, took one last look at the Spider-Man he had personally created, turned, and stepped into the newly opened Portal.

In an unknown Universe, on the outskirts of the Great Han Ming Nation.

Bai Ye stood in the desolate fields, his black cloak flapping in the night wind.

His Super Vision swept across, only seeing a few drunken night fishermen.

Hearing their 'Sumi da' language, Bai Ye raised an eyebrow:

"Korea? I didn't expect to land here; it's quite novel."

The next second, Bai Ye's figure appeared in the penthouse suite of Seoul's most luxurious hotel.

He didn't need to consider other issues; illusion dream would solve them for him.

Bai Ye stood before the floor-to-ceiling window, looking at the brightly lit city below.

The bright lights outside the window reflected on the thoughtful face in the glass.

He wasn't in a hurry to find his target; it was good to relax occasionally.

Moreover, judging from the situations in these three Universes, even if Bai Ye didn't take the initiative, those lunatics wouldn't be able to hold back.

So there was no rush; he would wait for them to reveal themselves.

The next day, Bai Ye walked leisurely through the streets of Seoul, hands in his pockets.

The morning sun filtered through the gaps between tall buildings onto the asphalt road, adding a touch of warmth to the city.

The sweet greetings of the hotel receptionist still seemed to echo in his ears, but he had already lost his novelty for this city.

"Plastic surgery is too developed."

Bai Ye curled his lips, his Super Vision sweeping over the pedestrians on the street.

Their delicate features looked like they were carved from the same mold, even the curve of their smiles was identical.

The men were similar, with comparable styles of dress and almost identical hairstyles.

Bai Ye shook his head and turned into a snack street, where various aromas wafted towards him.

Stir-fried rice cakes, fish cake skewers, kimchi... Bai Ye casually bought a few items, tasted them, and then put them down.

Emmm, the taste was just passable, nothing particularly outstanding.

Just as Bai Ye was considering whether to just teleport back to the hotel, a strange sound entered his ears.

"Target area cleared."

"E-series sample recovery failed."

"Continue searching for the main target."

Bai Ye raised an eyebrow, his gaze penetrating three buildings to land in a secluded back alley.

Five men in black combat suits were disposing of a body, with an unmarked black van parked nearby.

The leader was a handsome young man, and the voice he had just heard came from him.

Bai Ye looked at this person and immediately recognized where he came from. Was this a character from 'The Witch'?

Once Bai Ye knew which World it was, the target became easier to find.

His Super Vision unfolded like an invisible net, enveloping all of Seoul.

Countless pieces of information flooded his brain, only to be quickly filtered by him.

0.1 seconds later, Bai Ye locked onto his target.

A girl with shoulder-length hair, wearing a worn school uniform, was sitting on a park bench eating ice cream with another girl.

"Found you, Ju Ziyun."

Bai Ye's figure vanished from the spot, startling the couple who were taking photos nearby.

A patrolling team happened to pass by Bai Ye and stared dumbfounded at the scene.

When moving at extreme speed, everything appeared static to Bai Ye.

A plastic bag floated in the sky, and a thief was just reaching into a woman's bag. "Eighty-two-three"

Bai Ye, seeing this, casually gave him a slap. Ju Ziyun was pretending to happily lick her ice cream, listening to her best friend Duoxi incessantly gossiping about school.

Suddenly, all the hairs on her body stood up. A feeling of being targeted by a beast made her almost crush the ice cream cone in her hand.

"Ziyun, what's wrong? You don't look so good," Duoxi asked worriedly.

Ju Ziyun didn't answer. Her gaze was fixed on the man who had suddenly appeared in front of her.

One second ago, there was no one there; the next second, he stood there as if he had been there all along.

"Hello, Ju Ziyun."

The man smiled, then uttered a classic American drama line: "We need to talk."

Duoxi turned her head, following her gaze, and blinked in confusion: "Who is this?"

"I'm her cousin," the man replied very naturally. "There's an urgent family matter; I'm here to take Ju Ziyun home."

Ju Ziyun's pupils contracted slightly. This man not only knew her name but could also appear and disappear so mysteriously; he was no ordinary person.

Soon, Ju Ziyun put on her usual silly expression.

"Ah, cousin! How did you find me here?"

Bai Ye smiled at her clumsy acting and said directly:

"Good acting, but there's no need. I'm here to help you."

Duoxi looked left and right, curious: "Ziyun, when did you get a cousin?"

"A distant relative!"

Ju Ziyun waved her hand exaggeratedly, then lowered her voice to Bai Ye: "What exactly do you want?"

To Ju Ziyun's question, Bai Ye answered frankly:

"To contact you. Some guys I need to find will likely come looking for you."

"And to understand the situation of this World."

At this point, Bai Ye paused, a meaningful smile appearing on his face.

"After all, Miss Witch should be very familiar with Dr. Bai's schemes, right?"

Ju Ziyun's expression instantly froze. A few seconds later, she slowly stood up, her eyes becoming sharp as knives, her entire demeanor transforming.

"Duoxi, you go back first." Her voice was calm.

"My cousin and I have some family matters to discuss."

After her confused best friend walked away, Ju Ziyun looked directly into Bai Ye's eyes: "Who are you? Which lab are you from?"

"Bai Ye, a freelancer." Bai Ye shrugged.

"This isn't the place to talk. How about we get some coffee?"

Ju Ziyun was silent for a moment, then nodded.

Just as she was about to step forward, Bai Ye suddenly disappeared and reappeared instantly, holding a set of brand new clothes.

"Change out of these first; they're too conspicuous." Bai Ye placed a hand on Ju Ziyun's shoulder.

The next second, the two appeared in an empty alley.

Ju Ziyun looked around in shock; this teleportation ability far exceeded her imagination.

"Call me when you're changed." With that, Bai Ye disappeared again.

Five minutes later, a refreshed Ju Ziyun emerged from the shadows.

A simple white T-shirt and jeans replaced her dirty school uniform, making her look clean and sharp.

"Bai Ye."

Chapter 171

Ju Ziyun, following Bai Ye's instructions, called out to him softly.

Almost simultaneously, Bai Ye appeared before her, nodding in satisfaction.

"Not bad, now you look like a normal high school student."

He reached out again, and Ju Ziyun subconsciously took half a step back, but it was too late.

The surrounding scenery twisted and changed like flowing water, and in the blink of an eye, they were sitting in the corner of a high-end cafe.

A waiter approached with two cups of coffee, as if they had ordered them long ago.

"Who exactly are you?" Ju Ziyun's fingers unconsciously tapped the table.

Bai Ye took a sip of coffee and repeated what he had said before:

"I told you, I'm here to contact you. Dr. Bai's people are searching the entire city for you, you must have felt it, right?"

"The person I'm looking for is very likely in Dr. Bai's team, and I'm too lazy to go find them myself."

"They will most likely come to you, so I'll just stay by your side and wait for them to come to me."

After hearing Bai Ye's words, Ju Ziyun's eyes narrowed slightly.

Of course, she knew that the disappearance of her brothers and sisters over the past few days was the best proof.

Bai Ye also made his intentions very clear.

But the cautious Ju Ziyun naturally wouldn't believe Bai Ye just because of a few words.

"I don't find what you're saying very convincing."

Ju Ziyun said helplessly, her expression a little weary.

"If you're after my abilities, I advise you to give up."

Bai Ye laughed directly at her words: "Your abilities?"

A red light flashed in his eyes, and an invisible psionic power unfolded.

Ju Ziyun was horrified to find her body floating half a meter off the ground.

The other people in the cafe continued their conversations as if they hadn't seen anything.

Even more terrifying, she tried to activate her abilities to resist, but found all her power was sealed by some invisible barrier.

"Do you understand now?"

Bai Ye put down his coffee cup, and Ju Ziyun gently floated back to her seat.

"If I wanted to harm you, you'd already be a corpse."

Countless fine beads of sweat seeped from Ju Ziyun's forehead.

She had never encountered anyone who could suppress her so completely.

Not even Dr. Bai's most prized creations.

With such strength, Ju Ziyun initially confirmed that Bai Ye was not lying.

Just as Bai Ye said, if he really wanted to harm her, there would be no need to go through such trouble to get close to her.

Her most prized and coveted superpower was insignificant in front of Bai Ye.

"Alright, I've stated my purpose, now it's time to talk about your matters."

Bai Ye asked her back, looking at Ju Ziyun, who seemed much more mature than her TV counterpart, with interest.

Inside the cafe, the soft jazz music couldn't mask the tense atmosphere in the corner.

Ju Ziyun held the coffee cup with both hands and took a deep breath.

Through the rising steam, she secretly glanced at the man opposite her, who called himself Bai Ye.

He was slowly stirring his coffee with a spoon, the silver handle twirling between his fingers.

She lowered her head, looking at the bruises showing beneath her newly changed clothes.

Those wounds were healing ten times faster than a normal person's, but they were still shocking.

She recalled the events of the past few days, a crimson glint flashing in her eyes.

"I was living a good life," Ju Ziyun began to recount slowly.

During her days of pretending to be an ordinary person, her headaches grew increasingly severe.

Memory fragments churned in her brain like knives; the laboratory memories sealed by drugs were resurfacing.

She deliberately used her superpowers in front of everyone, clumsily leaving clues.

All of this was to make Dr. Bai's people come to her, as only the lab had the agents to alleviate her symptoms.

"But I was wrong."

Ju Ziyun suddenly crushed the paper cup, coffee dripping through her fingers.

"They no longer need live test subjects."

Bai Ye's eyebrows raised slightly; under his Super Vision, the capillaries near the girl's temples appeared unnaturally purplish-black.

That was due to the accumulation of neurotoxins caused by excessive brain development.

"Humanoid robots, stronger than me!"

Ju Ziyun's lips curved into a bitter arc.

On a rainy night three days ago, she finally received Dr. Bai's invitation.

What greeted her was not the familiar tranquilizer gun, but three of her kind with metallic glints in their pupils.

Their fists could penetrate bulletproof steel plates, and their speed was faster than her at her peak.

Most terrifyingly, they had no pain, no emotions, and only mechanically followed orders.

"I tore off the arms of two of them."

Ju Ziyun stared at her trembling palms, recalling the scene.

"But the third one crushed my shoulder blade."

Bai Ye knew she wasn't lying; under his X-ray vision,

Ju Ziyun's left shoulder indeed had traces of a comminuted fracture that had not fully healed.

Such an injury would have paralyzed an ordinary person, and her heart rate showed no abnormalities.

"After escaping, I wanted to go home." The girl's voice suddenly choked.

She returned home to find only two corpses; the farmhouse hidden in the countryside had been reduced to ashes, and her adoptive mother's favorite sunflowers had been pulled out.

Hearing this, Bai Ye nodded inwardly, it was indeed as he had expected.

This deviated from the Witch's plot in his memory.

Ju Ziyun, who had been a killing machine in the original work, was now being chased by robots.

Bai Ye didn't believe that the Madman Group members weren't involved in this.

Moreover, this plot of humanoid robots massacring superpowered individuals...

Isn't it just a rehash of the Sentinel robots fighting the X-Men!

"Then why did you find your best friend?" Bai Ye pointed towards the park outside the window.

"Aren't you afraid of implicating her?"

Ju Ziyun suddenly looked up, her expression now calm.

"Those robots were scanning pupils at every transportation hub, and I accidentally ran into Do-hee, I..."

Before she could finish, Ju Ziyun's body suddenly convulsed and leaned forward.

Bai Ye quickly reached out and pressed her forehead, feeling a burning heat.

In his microscopic vision, a certain area in the girl's brain was glowing abnormally, like an overloaded circuit board.

"Precursor to a nervous breakdown."

Seeing this, Bai Ye became interested.

This reaction indicated that the robots had caused more than just physical damage.

Ju Ziyun panted rapidly, cold sweat soaking her new T-shirt.

Soon, Bai Ye's hand left, and she was astonished to find that her headache was gone.

"How did you do that?"

Bai Ye didn't answer, because the entire cafe suddenly shook violently!

Glass windows shattered everywhere, and continuous explosions echoed from afar.

Bai Ye's Super Vision detected fifteen synchronized heartbeats, converging on the cafe from three directions.

"Looks like your friends are here, but they're not robots."

Bai Ye chuckled lightly, reminding Ju Ziyun.

"Actually, they're not that scary."

Ju Ziyun also sensed something, her face instantly changing.

"It's Young Master's team! How did they find this place?"

"Because of the tracking chip on you," Bai Ye said casually.

"It's under your injured left shoulder blade, very small."

Ju Ziyun abruptly touched the area below her shoulder blade, a trace of fear flashing in her eyes; she had never noticed it.

"Don't worry, it's already deactivated." Bai Ye made a pressing motion with his hand.

"However, they pinpointed the last location where the signal disappeared, which is this cafe."

Just then, a sharp braking sound came from the street.

Through the glass window, six fully armed men in black could be seen quickly fanning out, blocking all exits.

The customers in the cafe began to stir at this sight.

Ju Ziyun's body tensed, ready to fight at any moment.

Bai Ye, however, sat leisurely in his chair, picking up his coffee and taking another sip.

"Watch this."

Bai Ye said to the nervous Ju Ziyun with a confident expression.

"This is true power."

The Young Master, accompanied by five enhanced warriors, burst through the door, their guns aimed directly at the two in the corner.

The moment they pulled their triggers, time seemed to stand still.

Bullets hung suspended in mid-air, and the armed personnel's movements froze into comical statues.

Bai Ye put down his coffee cup, yawned, and said:

"Die."

With that, Bai Ye lightly flicked his finger.

Bang!

The six pursuers simultaneously turned to sand, their bodies rapidly dissolving into grains of sand; the Young Master died without uttering a single word.

Ju Ziyun watched all of this, utterly dumbfounded.

There was no fierce battle, no dazzling moves; Bai Ye simply flicked his finger, annihilating Dr. Bai's most elite squad.

After dealing with these weaklings, Bai Ye turned and smiled at Ju Ziyun, asking:

"Alright, the small fries are dealt with."

Chapter 172

"Next, let's talk about your future plans. Do you want revenge? If you do, I can help you, and it's a good opportunity to lure the snake out of its hole!"

Before Ju Ziyun could say anything, Bai Ye placed his hand on her shoulder.

The World twisted and reorganized before her eyes. When her vision returned, they were standing on top of a 400-meter-high TV tower.

In the biting night wind, the lights of the entire Seoul were in full view.

And the neighborhood where the cafe was located was nowhere to be found.

"Is this space teleportation?" Ju Ziyun gripped the railing tightly.

Even with her physical fitness, this unprepared teleportation made her dizzy.

"No, it's just too fast."

Bai Ye put one hand in his pocket, and he pointed to an inconspicuous building in the southeast direction.

"That's the real laboratory. What you went to before was a trap."

Ju Ziyun looked in the direction he pointed, and suddenly her pupils shrank.

On the roof of that building, there was a woman in a white coat, staring straight at the cafe with binoculars!

Even across several kilometers, that face made her blood run cold instantly.

"Dr. Bai, impossible! She was clearly already..."

"Had her neck broken by you in the warehouse?" Bai Ye chuckled and continued.

"Now she's alive and kicking, it seems you killed a clone."

Bai Ye suddenly turned around and touched the center of Ju Ziyun's brow with his finger.

The power of healing automatically poured into the girl's body as he spoke.

Ju Ziyun felt a coolness flowing through her body, and all pain and fatigue were swept away.

Not only that, even the chaotic areas deep in her memory began to clear up.

Ju Ziyun looked at the direction of the laboratory in the distance, and the familiar dangerous smile of a witch slowly rose from the corner of her mouth.

"Let's go!"

Soon Bai Ye and Ju Ziyun stood in front of the entrance to the research institute.

Ju Ziyun looked up at this secret facility hidden under the pharmaceutical factory and asked:

"Is this it?"

Bai Ye nodded, Super Vision penetrated the surface disguise, and saw the busy figures in white coats 30 meters underground.

Then, he stood beside her with his hands in his pockets, his black coat swaying slightly in the wind.

"There are six guards at the main entrance, and there are three layers of automatic defense systems underground..."

He tilted his head to look at Ju Ziyun and asked, "How do you want to get in?"

The corner of Ju Ziyun's mouth curled into a dangerous arc.

Then she slightly raised her hand.

"Boom!!"

The alloy door of the laboratory was like paper in front of Ju Ziyun.

She just raised her hand, and Telekinesis smashed down like an invisible giant hammer.

The three-ton explosion-proof door was twisted and deformed like a flattened soda can, and collapsed with a bang.

The six guards behind the door didn't even have time to raise their weapons.

Their bodies suddenly stiffened, and their eyes turned in horror.

Ju Ziyun's Telekinesis had already pinch their nerve centers.

You...

Ju Ziyun's figure blurred for a moment, and the next second she appeared in the middle of the guards.

"Too slow."

Pa pa pa pa pa!

Six precise hand chops struck the carotid artery, the sound as crisp as hitting a ripe watermelon.

When the guards fell limply, their faces were still frozen with disbelief.

Bai Ye slowly crossed the threshold, his boots stepping on the metal door panel: "Good efficiency."

Ju Ziyun didn't look back, her pupils glowing faintly in the dim corridor.

The suppressed killing intent was boiling in her blood vessels, and those memories blurred by drugs were now as clear as yesterday.

It was in this corridor that she, at the age of eight, fought helplessly here, and was finally taken back to the operating room.

The alarm suddenly resounded throughout the underground facility, and the red emergency lights dyed the corridor blood red.

Twenty fully armed enhanced warriors poured out from the corner.

They were wearing special carbon fiber armor, and the Pulse Rifles in their hands were fully charged, with dangerous blue light flashing from the muzzles.

"Target confirmed! Open fire!"

As soon as the squad leader shouted the order, he suddenly noticed that Bai Ye opposite him raised his head.

Then he saw the man's eyes light up.

"Zzz! Boom!!"

Two scarlet Heat Vision beams swept across like divine punishment.

The enhanced warriors didn't even have time to pull the trigger.

Their armor, weapons, and flesh were instantly vaporized in the high temperature of the Heat Vision.

Two smooth cut surfaces were melted out of the concrete wall, revealing the red-glowing steel bars inside.

Ju Ziyun turned her head sharply, her cheeks burning from the heat.

She looked at the charred shadows on the corridor, which were the carbonized marks left on the wall after the human body instantly evaporated.

"You have this ability too?" Her voice was a little dry.

The red light in Bai Ye's eyes gradually went out: "I have many more abilities like this."

He stepped over the still-red metal floor, and the soles of his shoes made a sizzling sound when they came into contact with the hot steel plate.

"Continue."

As they went deeper into the Base, the resistance became greater and greater.

The alarm was piercing, and the red light flashed wildly in the corridor.

Ju Ziyun and Bai Ye advanced all the way like a hot knife through butter. Whether it was armed guards or automatic defense systems, they were like paper in front of them.

In front of the security door on the fifth floor, several of the latest models of humanoid robots were waiting in formation.

They had the same appearance as humans, but their eyes flickered with the red light unique to machines, and a slight servo motor sound was emitted when their joints rotated.

"These are those robots."

Ju Ziyun raised her hands, ready to fight at any time.

Those robots had fought her countless times, and she knew their terror.

"Step back."

Bai Ye suddenly reached out and pulled Ju Ziyun behind him.

In Ju Ziyun's puzzled eyes, Bai Ye just waved his hand casually.

These robots floated into the air at the same time, as if they were grabbed by the back of their necks by an invisible hand.

Their facial expression system actually simulated panic, and the metal skeletons creaked under the irresistible force.

Then, Bai Ye slowly closed his five fingers.

"Crack! Crack! Crack!"

The chilling sound of metal twisting rang out one after another.

Those War Machines costing hundreds of millions of dollars were curled up into a ball like soda cans thrown into a junkyard.

Hydraulic oil spurted out from the burst pipes, electric sparks running around in the compressed chest cavity, and finally they were completely scrapped in a burst of green smoke.

Ju Ziyun's pupils shrank slightly, and she looked at all this in surprise.

Bai Ye retracted his hand and turned to look at her: "Is there a problem?"

Ju Ziyun took a deep breath: "You just solved them like that?"

"Otherwise?" Bai Ye raised his eyebrows.

"Did you want to listen to it give a villainous speech first?"

Ju Ziyun stared at the robots on the ground and suddenly laughed.

"Let's go, Dr. Bai should be getting impatient."

"Okay, the final boss battle."

There were no guards or traps in front of the top floor laboratory, only a small table with tea sets.

Dr. Bai was sitting there, wearing a spotless white coat, pouring an amber liquid into a porcelain cup.

"You didn't escape?" Ju Ziyun's nails dug deeply into her palm.

Bai Ye chuckled: "No, she really wanted to escape."

Then, he pointed around and explained: "All the exits are sealed, and even the ventilation ducts have quantum locks."

At this moment, Dr. Bai finally looked up.

This woman, who looked to be in her fifties, had the gentle and refined face of a scholar, with only her eyes revealing an inhuman calmness.

Dr. Bai took a sip of tea and sighed: "Ziyun, you are indeed my most perfect work."

Ju Ziyun clenched her fists and looked at Dr. Bai with cold eyes, and scolded:

"Shut up! What about the children? What about the other test subjects?"

"Upgraded, or rather, eliminated." Dr. Bai put down the teacup and slowly stood up. "Just like what you are about to do now."

She suddenly tore open her white coat, revealing the metallic body underneath.

Perfect human skin covered a titanium alloy skeleton, with an energy core the size of a basketball embedded in her chest, and blue fluid circulating in transparent pipes.

"I have transformed myself into the ultimate form." Dr. Bai's voice suddenly took on a mechanical synthesized tone.

"Let's have a fair duel, a final farewell from daughter to mother."

Ju Ziyun was about to step forward, but Bai Ye held her shoulder.

"Wait."

Bai Ye reached out and touched the center of Ju Ziyun's brow, and a golden light flowed into her body along his fingertips.

Ju Ziyun opened her mouth wide, and her whole body's bones burst out with a crisp sound like popping beans, and her muscle fibers expanded and reorganized at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Yellow energy appeared under her skin and then quickly disappeared.

"Now it's fair." Bai Ye took two steps back and gestured.

"Okay, you've been strengthened, go beat her up."

Ju Ziyun clenched her fist, and sonic booms were created in her palm.

Chapter 173

She looked at Dr. White, the corners of her mouth curving into the dangerous smile of a Witch.

"You can't escape."

Watching Ju Ziyun in the distance, Dr. White's mechanical eye rapidly zoomed and focused, calculating the suddenly spiking energy readings.

Without another word, her soles erupted with tremendous force and she shot forward like a cannonball!

Bang!

Ju Ziyun neither dodged nor flinched, simply punching straight out.

The shockwave from the clash of two titanic forces shattered every glass vessel in the lab.

A spider-web of cracks appeared across the casing of Dr. White's mechanical arm, while Ju Ziyunmerely staggered half a step back.

"Impossible!"

Dr. White's unmistakably synthetic voice wavered.

"This exceeds the theoretical limit of the E-Series!"

"Theory?"

Ju Ziyun flashed behind her and drove a whip-like kick that sent Dr. White clean through the alloy wall.

"What do you know about theory!"

From there the fight was a one-sided rout.

Every punch Ju Ziyun landed left deep dents in Dr. White's body; every grapple tore several hydraulic lines.

Blue coolant sprayed across the lab like blood.

Finally, Ju Ziyun hoisted Dr. White into the air by the neck.

The woman who had once haunted her nightmares now hung like a broken doll, body torn apart.

"For my parents." Ju Ziyun's right hand blazed with blinding white light.

"For my life."

The words had barely left her lips before her fist punched through Dr. White's skull.

The metal cranium burst open, revealing intricate machinery that crackled with electric sparks.

The artificial neurons still twitched, trying to send final commands, but Ju Ziyun crushed the core processor.

Dr. White's body convulsed violently, then went limp.

The light in her chest faded, until a final beep signaled silence.

Ju Ziyun turned to find Bai Ye standing at the lab's main console, fingers dancing across a holographic keyboard.

"What... are you doing?"

Bai Ye stood before an intact terminal, its screen scrolling dense gene sequences and molecular schematics.

"Researching a Serum."

Without looking up, Bai Ye flicked a finger and a new data model unfolded.

"Serum? What Serum?" Ju Ziyun blinked.

Only then did Bai Ye pause, turning to her with a playful smile.

"Your Serum, of course."

Bai Ye tapped his own eyes and brain, confident. "Right now."

"During your fight I already analyzed your entire body structure, gene sequence, and the source of your abilities."

Ju Ziyun's pupils shrank. "You can analyze genes with your eyes?"

"Basic operation." Bai Ye shrugged and kept adjusting parameters.

"Your power comes from neural enhancement and gene modification, but Dr. White's technique was too crude, side effects obvious—I'm optimizing it."

Ju Ziyun stared at the screen; she could only decipher a fraction of the data.

Yet the constantly reassembling 3-D molecular models and energy simulations were stunning enough.

"You do science too?"

"For someone possessing Divine Talent, it's effortless."

Bai Ye answered casually, traced a hand through the air, and injected a stream of golden energy into the terminal; the machine whirred to life.

The Witch's Serum had given him inspiration; parts of it had merit.

He very much wanted to know what a strengthened Witch could become.

Seconds later a syringe glowing with pale-gold fluorescence rose from the synthesis chamber, hovering inside a transparent container.

Bai Ye plucked it out; the Serum floated in his palm, liquid swirling within.

"Done."

Ju Ziyun stared at the syringe, an inexplicable dread in her chest, and asked cautiously,

"What... does it do?"

Bai Ye smiled. "After injection your physical stats will increase nearly a hundredfold."

"What?!"

Bai Ye twirled the syringe and rattled off the post-injection metrics:

"Considering you're already enhanced, this Serum should give you strength measured in hundreds of tons and vastly improve your durability."

"From now on, even a Rocket to the chest will only make you take half a step back."

Hearing the concrete numbers Bai Ye listed, Ju Ziyun's breathing quickened. "You're serious?"

Bai Ye didn't answer; he simply offered the syringe. "Try it and find out."

Ju Ziyun stared at the Serum, hesitating for a moment.

But for only an instant she hesitated, then accepted it and, without a second thought, sank the needle into her arm and drove the Serum into her vein.

Ugh!!

The instant the Serum entered her body, her spine snapped ramrod-straight.

Her pupils shrank to pinpoints as golden filaments raced from the injection site to engulf her entire frame; beneath her skin, energies she could not see coursed like liquid lightning.

Her bones crackled like popping beans, muscle fibres re-knitted, and she could even hear her own heart thundering inside her ribcage like a war-drum.

"How does it feel?" Bai Ye asked, intrigued.

Ju Ziyun slowly lowered her head and stared at her hands.

They now held a power she had never known. She smashed a fist into the alloy wall beside her.

Boom!!

The whole wall collapsed, twisted shards of metal spraying everywhere, yet she hadn't even broken the skin.

Ju Ziyun froze for a second, then laughed aloud and stamped her foot.

Bang!!

The lab floor caved in, fractures spider-webbing across the entire room.

She stood unscathed amid the rubble, her eyes blazing with thrilled, golden light.

"This power—it's incredible!"

Bai Ye surveyed his test subject with satisfaction and reminded her, "It's not over yet."

"What?" Ju Ziyun looked at him in puzzlement.

"The Serum comes with a new ability." Bai Ye folded his arms.

"A new ability?"

Bai Ye pointed at her fingertips. "Focus your mind and imagine energy pouring out of your body."

Ju Ziyun frowned but did as he said.

Zzzt!

A bolt of golden energy burst from her fingertip, lancing across the room and blasting the distant workbench into splinters.

Her eyes went wide. "Energy projection?"

"Something like that." Bai Ye smiled. "Call it Witch-Beam if you prefer."

Ju Ziyun stared at her hand, then burst into laughter that echoed through the wreckage.

"Just who are you?"

Bai Ye didn't answer; he simply turned toward the exit. "Time to go—this Base is finished."

Ju Ziyun clenched her fists, feeling the surging power within, and strode after him.

"Where to next?"

Bai Ye flicked a hand, slicing open a golden Portal, and glanced back at her.

"You'll see."

The two stood on a hillside outside the Base; behind them the ground suddenly sank, forming a crater a hundred metres across.

All the madness and sin were entombed forever ninety metres beneath the earth.

Watching the smoke column rise, Ju Ziyun asked, "Why help me?"

Bai Ye gazed at the rising sun. "I didn't help you; our goals just happened to align."

The moment he saw Dr. Bai, Bai Ye knew he had arrived too late.

The lunatics had already fled.

Still, the trip wasn't a total loss; judging from the modification tech on Dr. Bai's body,

Bai Ye could be sure one of the mad clique was the Reed who knew his own fate.

As expected of Marvel Universe's infamous Troublemaker—he sticks his nose in everywhere.

Bai Ye looked at Ju Ziyun. "Interested in seeing other Worlds?"

The Witch wiped blood from her face and smiled for the first time. "Why not?"

Bai Ye nodded and opened the Portal.

He brought the Witch along to see how far the Serum could push her.

Just as he was about to leave alone, he sensed the Serum inside her body beginning a second mutation.

0 – Please give flowers – 0

A researcher who loves challenges, Bai Ye was delighted.

So he decided to take the Witch to other Worlds.

One more traveller made no difference; consider it an observational experiment.

"Come—let me show you sights from other Universes."

With that, Bai Ye stepped through the Portal; Ju Ziyun hesitated a heartbeat, then followed.

In some Universe, the golden Portal quietly closed.

Bai Ye and Ju Ziyun stepped out; the moment the Portal vanished, a stench of rot hit them.

.0 ... They stood on a ruined street, surrounded by toppled high-rises and cracked asphalt.

Abandoned cars lay rust-eaten; broken glass and shell casings littered the ground.

In the distance, thick smoke coiled upward; the sky was shrouded in grey haze, the sun barely a dull coin behind it.
