Android 17 hurled a massive sphere of energy at Trunks, the blazing orb crackling with violent power as it tore across the ruined landscape. The sheer pressure from the attack split the ground beneath it, sending chunks of rock flying in every direction.
But Trunks didn't hesitate. Planting his feet firmly, his aura flared into a raging violet blaze as he thrust his hands forward.
"GALICK GUN… FIRE!!"
The iconic beam erupted from his palms, spiraling into the oncoming energy ball with explosive force. For a moment, the two attacks clashed in a thunderous deadlock, the shockwaves rattling the city ruins around them. With a desperate roar, Trunks poured everything into his beam, slowly overwhelming the energy ball until it was forced back—before finally detonating in a cataclysmic explosion high above the battlefield. The sky lit up in purple and gold, a storm of destruction swallowing the horizon.
At the same time, on the other side of the battlefield, Rudra had already put his plan into motion. His goal was simple—separate the twins. Using his incredible speed, he darted out of West City, deliberately drawing Android 18's attention. His movements were calculated, almost taunting, and sure enough, 18's sharp blue eyes narrowed with interest.
"Trying to run?" she muttered coldly before launching herself after him.
The chase carved across the broken land until Rudra suddenly halted in a wide clearing far from the city. He turned, sword already in hand, standing tall and composed. His aura flickered faintly, controlled and steady, as if he had been waiting for this exact moment.
Android 18 landed lightly across from him, her expression unreadable but her posture aggressive.
"So… this is where you've decided to die?" she said flatly.
Without wasting another word, she thrust both palms forward. In an instant, a storm of thousands of Ki blasts erupted from her hands, flooding the battlefield like a torrential rain of light. Each glowing sphere shrieked as it sliced through the air, exploding across the ground in violent bursts.
But Rudra moved like liquid lightning. His body blurred, weaving effortlessly through the barrage, each blast missing him by mere inches. Dust and fire trailed in his wake, yet not a single attack struck him.
Before 18 could adjust, Rudra vanished—only for her eyes to catch him too late. He was behind her. She spun, unleashing a sudden high kick meant to shatter his defense. But Rudra raised his sword, and with a metallic ring, the strike connected. The force of her kick unleashed a devastating shockwave, powerful enough to split the earth beneath them—yet the sword drank in the energy, absorbing the impact as if it had vanished into thin air.
18's eyes widened for a moment. That sword… is it absorbing the force of my kick?
She landed back on her feet with a grim frown. Something about this man, about his weapon, felt dangerous. Still, she refused to acknowledge it. With a flicker of movement, she closed the distance again, unleashing a blinding barrage of punches, her fists moving too fast for an ordinary eye to follow. Each strike carried monstrous power, enough to reduce a mountain to rubble.
But again, Rudra met her fury with his blade. His sword danced in his grip, catching each punch, redirecting the force, and absorbing the shock with eerie precision. Every blow rang out like thunder against steel, yet not once did his defense falter.
Frustration flashed in Android 18's eyes. She smirked faintly, masking it with her usual cold composure, and taunted him mid-assault:
"Tell me—how long do you plan to keep hiding behind that sword?!"
But Rudra ignored Android 18's mocking words and continued to meet her every strike with his sword. No matter how relentless her punches and kicks became, his blade intercepted them all—absorbing each impact like a bottomless well.
Frustrated, Android 18's eyes narrowed sharply as she hissed,
"Fine! If you want to use that sword as your little shield… then I'll just destroy it!"
