Chapter 210: Sasuke, Your Wife Has Arrived
When Karin returned to the Ninja Academy, it happened to be the break between classes.
Naruto, playing with his classmates, immediately spotted her walking in. His eyes sparkled with mischief as he elbowed Sasuke and whispered loudly,
"Sasuke! Look! Your wife is here!"
Sasuke froze, darkening at Naruto's words.
Unfortunately, Sakura was passing by and overheard. Mistaking Naruto's comment for her, she blushed fiercely.
"Oh, Nairudo, what are you saying? You're making me embarrassed!"
Naruto tilted his head in confusion. "Huh? What's wrong with that?"
Sasuke scowled, silently berating Naruto's constant nonsense. He didn't bother explaining to Sakura — she was a little annoying, and he had no patience for misunderstandings.
Sakura, flustered, was about to respond when the teacher walked in to start class. She quickly returned to her seat, eyes still lingering on the back of Sasuke's head.
Naruto, slightly puzzled, shrugged. The charm Fugaku had instilled in him was working: his feelings toward Sakura were no longer infatuation, only friendly camaraderie. His standards for beauty were now influenced by Aunt Mikoto — far superior to Sakura — and he no longer felt the crush he once did. Fugaku had successfully set the stage for a future pairing of Naruto and Hinata.
As Karin entered, no one seemed to notice anything unusual — except for Naruto, who glanced at her once or twice.
Even the Nine-Tailed Fox within him had sensed the familiar chakra the moment Karin appeared.
So the Eight-Tails has finally been sealed into a Jinchūriki too… the Nine-Tailed mused.
It was clear that Tailed Beasts could not contend with the Uchiha Clan. Just look at the Eight-Tails, now bound like a puppet.
The Nine-Tails thought wryly that it had been fortunate not to clash with that particular Uchiha back then — otherwise, it might have ended up in a similar fate.
Still, a month of freedom outside a host was enviable, though if it were him, he would never tolerate such restrictions.
He considered contacting the Eight-Tails within Karin but quickly dismissed the thought. It would risk alerting the Uchiha Clan — and he had no desire to breach the existing agreement.
He would bide his time for five years, until Naruto graduated from the Ninja Academy, and remain obedient. Helping Naruto casually was no trouble at all. The Uchiha had sworn on their clan; the Nine-Tails had no choice but to trust humans once more.
With that settled, he curled up and napped, ignoring Naruto's chakra circulation entirely.

Meanwhile, in the Hokage Building, Fugaku's Shadow Clone had just typed out "To be continued" for the second part of Battle Through the Heavens. The clone copied the manuscript onto a USB drive and handed it to Kisame Hoshigaki, instructing him to deliver it to the village bookstore, just across from the Hokage Building.
Since the bookstore had been acquired by Uchiha Shimei, a clan member now managed the store. The publication process — printing, distribution, and eventual sales — would be handled automatically.
With the clone dismissed, Fugaku lay back on the bed briefly before returning to his desk to read and inspire his next writings — though in truth, he was mostly slacking.
Soon, Uchiha Setsuna arrived.
"Hokage-sama, good news: we've located Orochimaru."
Setsuna, now head of the Intelligence Department, had been assigned to track Orochimaru immediately after Fugaku returned to Konoha. After a month of diligent investigation, the department finally obtained a lead.
"Where is he?" Fugaku asked immediately, his interest piqued.
Setsuna replied,
"In the Land of Rice Fields. He seems intent on establishing his own Ninja village and has been seen purchasing supplies, according to our spies."
Fugaku's lips curved into a faint smile. Perfect — the Land of Rice Fields bordered the northern territory of the Land of Fire. Using his Complete Body Susanoo, he could arrive there in a single day.
"Send for a Sensory Ninja and a Hyūga Ninja to accompany me," he ordered.
"Yes, Hokage-sama."
Setsuna left to execute the order. Shortly after, two Jonin arrived to report: a blonde Yamanaka Jonin and a Hyūga branch-family Jonin. Normally, the main Hyūga family wouldn't leave the village lightly, but a branch family member was sufficient, especially for Byakugan surveillance.
Fugaku ascended to the top of Hokage Rock, summoned his Complete Body Susanoo, and flew off with the two ninja.
He had not brought Kisame this time. Before departing, he instructed him to return home and reassure Uchiha Mikoto that he would be away for only two or three days.
