The very second Cassian tried to gather his shattered form and stand up on his trembling legs, the veins beneath his skin burst one after another from the intense pressure.
He collapsed heavily onto his knees as black blood poured from his mouth. He pressed his hands against his chest, right over his crushed Dragon Heart. His ribcage burned with unbearable agony; the dragon heart was on the verge of total failure, and his body simply could not handle this immense power anymore.
Deep within his mind, the system's cold and ruthless options appeared.
