A swift glance around the room was enough to tell me all that I needed to know. Aria was taking part in the competition. Again.
I moved to the window side, drawing the curtains apart to stare outside. Pack members moved around with wares as they prepared to set up their stalls, and children played as usual, throwing snowballs at each other. My eyes flicked to the sky, where the weak sunlight was starting to make its presence known.
I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose.
You'd have thought that after seeing her frightened yesterday, she'd be more careful and wouldn't actively be involved in something as dangerous as the Luna game, where her stalker could easily get to her. Kill her, even. But no, she was fucking hardheaded and did things even a child like my Amber wouldn't.
