His lips, the warmth, goodness!
It was everything I ever wished for. The first time I had imagined Kaiden kissing me, when I kissed him on the night of the rogue attack, I had expected him to kiss me this way in return, but nothing had happened.
It was wrong. I knew it was after everything he did to me. I should shove him, slap him, and kick him in his groin. Instead, my eyes snapped shut, and I was about to give in to the kiss and desire slowly building up inside me when a pull on my hand ripped me away from Kaiden's arms and slammed me into a tree.
I gasped, my back arching. I blinked to see Atlas in front of me, hands clenched, fury in his eyes.
"You bastard!" He growled, turning to Kaiden. In an instant, Kaiden was sent flying backward, and he jumped out of the shrubs, half shifted, speeding towards Atlas.
I could barely keep up with what was going on. They both exchanged blows, wrestled on the frozen forest floor, while I looked at them, slack-jawed and dazed.
