His words stung and hit me like a slap. I wrenched my hand free from both of them, turning to face Kaiden, and my hand raised, colliding with his cheek before I could stop myself.
My body shook with suppressed fury, and I snarled at him, jabbing my finger in his chest. "You're a bastard, Kaiden Thorne. I regret ever knowing you and being mated to you!"
"Mated?" Atlas and Elias exclaimed. I turned away from the trio, storming off, ignoring Kaiden's yell for my name.
I arrived indoors faster than I could have imagined, knowing how far the cave was from the pack house. I didn't return to the event either. I couldn't knit anyway, and might as well get disqualified. Right now? I didn't care. I threw myself onto the bed, grabbed a pillow, and pressed my face into it. I screamed, my voice muffled by the pillow.
