"That bastard. Throwing threats like mere words!" Fenrik snarled.
I ignored Kaiden's tantrum and continued toward the seer's cave.
When I arrived, I found her sitting at the heart of the cave, surrounded by twelve lit candles. The room was eerily silent, the flickering lights casting long shadows against the stone walls.
The cave had been cleared. The participants' knitting tools were gone. So was the body of the girl who'd been killed. It had likely been taken to the pack's morgue, soon to be sent to her father. I grimaced at the thought, imagining Alpha Igor's expression when he received his daughter's lifeless body, once healthy and whole, now delivered like a wrapped package of grief.
I paused a few feet from the seer, who sat still, eyes closed in deep meditation.
