Atlas collapsed on top of me, his weight a welcome grounding pressure, his face buried in the crook of my neck as he let out shuddering groans. Our harsh breaths were the only thing that could be heard in the silence, and for a long while, we lay on the floor, barely registering the coldness of it.
Atlas shifted, rolling us so I was sprawled on his chest, his arm wrapped securely around my waist.
"Are you okay?" He caressed my hair.
"I am," I whispered, burrowing closer, my face pressed into the crook of his neck, inhaling his scent. Sweat. Sex and something uniquely his. It was comforting.
"Good," Atlas said, brushing his lips across my head.
