Walking out of class, Willow cut across the Ascendants' hallway toward the exit. She and Indigo spotted each other the moment Indigo stepped out of one of the classes.
"Willow!" Indigo ran up and hugged her so hard. Willow laughed and hugged her back.
"I am so, so, so sorry. I really shouldn't have acted like that." Indigo apologized again as they pulled apart.
"No. Don't. I'm the one at fault. Stop apologizing." Willow said, and Indigo visibly relaxed, looping her arm through Willow's.
"How was class?" Indigo asked as they started down the hall together.
"Honestly? I don't think the professors are focused on teaching anymore," Willow snorted, and Indigo sighed.
With everything going on, even the professors had their attention diverted.
"I really don't want to participate in this," she muttered.
Willow felt her heart drop in her chest. Everyone she knew seemed to be joining this competition. "You're in too?"
