Inside the U.S. Air Force base in Afghanistan, the buildings were shaking and cracking apart.
Bai Ye looked at Stark and said, "According to the plan, you were supposed to stay silent in the group these past few days. But you've been… a little too active."
Hearing that, Stark felt a pang of guilt.
At first, after losing all restrictions, he managed to hold himself back for a few days. But soon enough, his true nature took over — he started bragging in the chat group and even changed his nickname to Playboy.
Although he hadn't revealed any crucial secrets, everyone in the group already knew who he was — the character from the manga Junjima Kana had read: Iron Man, Tony Stark.
"You should be glad you didn't expose anything serious," Bai Ye said with a faint glance. "Now, start asking the group for help."
"What excuse should I use?"
"Just say your Iron Man armor design has been discovered," Bai Ye replied evenly. "The Afghan soldiers didn't kill you — instead, they're planning to kill that doctor named Yinsen as a warning. Then, ask that group member called Crimson for help."
"Crimson?" Stark blinked. "Wasn't it that so-called Omniscient and Almighty Immortal who's the admin?"
After being in the group for a while, Stark had already realized that the "Omniscient and Almighty Immortal's" divine airs were more than a bit ridiculous.
"That's just one of the admin's alt accounts," Bai Ye explained. "To maintain his lofty image, the admin never personally travels between worlds — he always does it under the name Crimson."
"First, ask the admin for help. He'll definitely refuse. Then, Crimson will jump in — just agree when he does."
As he spoke, Bai Ye wrapped Stark in his true energy, lifting him straight off the ground and flying outside.
"Where are you taking me?" Stark shouted, startled.
"The middle of the desert," Bai Ye said calmly. "Two fourth-level beings fighting at full strength — this base beneath your feet won't last long. Of course, I don't particularly care if everyone here dies from the aftershocks."
That reasoning immediately shut Stark up. During his time in the group, he'd learned one thing — the gap between each level was astronomical.
A so-called fourth-level fighter could, with a single strike, flatten a skyscraper. If they fought here, the consequences would be catastrophic — something he had indeed overlooked.
Meanwhile, in the chat group, Stark's sudden message immediately drew everyone's attention.
[Playboy]: Help! Somebody come quick! @OmniscientAndAlmightyImmortal @Crimson @Azure...
[Gentleman's Sword]: What happened?
[Junjima Kana]: Is there trouble at the base where you were captured?
[Playboy]: Yeah. My Iron Man suit plans were exposed. The terrorists have surrounded me. They're threatening to kill my assistant Yinsen!
[Playboy]: @OmniscientAndAlmightyImmortal @Crimson @Azure Please help — Yinsen's got a gun to his head!
Seeing Stark's plea, the Omniscient and Almighty Immortal smiled smugly.
Just as he expected. With access to the chat group, Stark was bound to become even more arrogant than in the original story — and without pressure, he'd definitely slip up.
[OmniscientAndAlmightyImmortal]: I sit in the Grand Desolation overseeing countless realms. My avatar cannot move freely — quite troublesome.
[Crimson]: No problem. The admin bears great responsibility, but for the sake of a fellow member, I'll do my part. I'll go.
[Playboy]: Great! Please hurry — Yinsen's got a gun to his head! Once this is over, I'll treat you to a meal (or maybe prison food)!
Over the endless Afghan desert, Bai Ye turned to Stark. "The bait's set. Send the cross-world invitation — just one person."
[Group member "Playboy" has sent a cross-world travel request. Slots used: 0/1.]
As soon as the invitation went out, the Omniscient and Almighty Immortal — Crimson — smiled slightly. Just a few terrorists? Hardly worth his effort.
The next moment, he tapped "Accept." Space before him twisted instantly, and the scene changed.
Stretching to the horizon was a vast golden desert — and only two figures stood there.
One was a young man with long black hair streaming behind him, his handsome face carrying a wild, carefree smile. The other was a middle-aged man with a well-kept goatee and sharp, alert eyes.
Where are the Afghan terrorists? Where's Yinsen? the self-assured "Immortal" thought uneasily. Something was off.
"Long time admirer, Omniscient and Almighty Immortal," Bai Ye said, placing a hand on Stark's shoulder.
His Phasing ability activated, and in the next second, Stark vanished — drawn into Bai Ye's pocket dimension to keep him safe from the fight.
The "Immortal's" expression changed instantly. Damn. A trap!
Before he could react, Bai Ye was already in front of him, right hand at his waist, thrusting forward with a straight punch.
A plain, simple punch — something any boxer could throw after a couple of years of training.
But when that punch carried tons of force and moved at Mach speed, it crushed everything in its path.
Faced with the supersonic blow, the admin barely managed to raise his arms to block as scarlet light flared, enveloping his entire body.
Red scales erupted across his skin as the glow spread.
The moment they clashed, it sounded like a dragon's roar. Sand exploded skyward in a massive storm, burying everything around them.
In an instant, Crimson felt both arms go numb. He had to roll with the force, shooting backward like a bullet, plowing a trench hundreds of meters long into the sand.
"Hah! You couldn't even kill me with a sneak attack. Not so impressive after all."
The handsome youth stepped out of the swirling sand, his long hair whipping wildly, one sleeve torn apart from the blast. His smile was bright, almost taunting.
Furious yet grinning, the admin shouted, "Did you really think you could win with a cheap trick like that? Dream on! I don't care who you are — today, both you and Tony Stark are dead!"
As he taunted, his fingers grew long and razor-sharp, easily capable of cutting through diamond.
But then he realized — his words might have worked too well. The young man before him looked genuinely angry now, fists clenched tight.
"You actually tried to pull your punch against me? Do you have any idea how much time you've wasted? Ten whole days I could've spent enjoying myself — all because of trash like you."
As he finished speaking, Crimson's pupils shrank. In the next instant, power surged from the youth — ten times stronger than before.
Even from hundreds of meters away, Crimson could feel an overwhelming sense of danger flood his mind.
Staring at the boy, now radiating a monstrous aura, Crimson swore he could hear the earth itself screaming.
Or maybe… it wasn't an illusion at all.
