Deep underground—In this lifeless, barren zone where no human could possibly survive, even without reaching the Earth's crust, the sheer pressure alone was enough to crush an iron sphere flat like a pancake.
Yet in this suffocating oppression, a naked youth walked calmly as if taking a stroll.
The molten, near-fusion rock—burning at thousands of degrees—pressed directly against his fair, red-tinged skin.It couldn't so much as scorch him; instead, his advancing body forced the molten layers apart inch by inch.
Behind him, the path he carved instantly collapsed in on itself, swallowed by the dense earth once more.
Step by step, he kept pushing forward through the subterranean depths—his body growing stronger at a terrifying rate.Every day, he could easily defeat the version of himself from the day before.
The first day… the third… the fifth… the tenth…
Six thousand tons… ten thousand tons… twenty thousand… fifty thousand…
As he continued tunneling, every so often he had to dig deeper just to keep the surrounding pressure balanced with his rapidly strengthening body.
Ten days passed in this way.Stretching slightly, Bai Ye—who had kept his eyes closed the entire time—slowly opened them.
Ten days… that should be about right.
Stopping in place, he glanced at the glowing interface before him.
Name: Bai YeLifespan: 18 / 50,000,000Strength: 4.4 + 0.4 (4.2 → 4.8) → Power: 50,000 tons, Speed: Mach 7Constitution: 4.4 + 0.4 (4.2 → 4.8) — Zixia Divine Art v3.0, Cultivation Speed: 50 strands of internal energy per second, Current Internal Energy: 5,700 yearsSpirit: 4.4 + 0.4 (4.1 → 4.8)Charm: 1.4+Unspent Attribute Points: 0.2
These ten days improved my stats more than I expected, Bai Ye thought. He had originally estimated maybe a four- or fivefold increase, yet the results were nearly tenfold.
And that was with him intentionally holding himself back.
He had deliberately slowed his training to keep his spirit and body rising in sync; otherwise, his strength alone might have skyrocketed another fiftyfold.
Even though all three attributes could increase infinitely, they didn't grow at the same rate.If even one stat got too far ahead, the gap between them could widen by hundreds—or even thousands—of times, making it impossible to catch up later.
It was like a race: everyone running together, but if one person starts just a second earlier, that gap only grows wider and wider—and the others will never close it.
Still, Bai Ye mused, with these stats, I should be able to take down that group leader, right?
Looking at his panel again, Bai Ye felt a twinge of unease—a kind of power shortage anxiety.
Maybe I should train another ten days? Boost my stats tenfold again? Fifty thousand tons shouldn't possibly fail me…
After all, opportunities like this didn't come twice.Right now, his group level was still at level 4—if he missed his chance to catch that "group leader," it would be a shame.
He hesitated for a moment… then shook his head.Forget it. If it comes to that, I'll just let the Ancient One tie him up for me. I'll handle the rest myself.
Besides, he still had unspent attribute points. If things went wrong, he could just ask Deep Blue to allocate them.
Just 0.2 points added to Strength would more than double it—that would be plenty.
As the thought settled, Bai Ye's body shifted into a phase state. He stomped down hard with his right foot—and the space around him shattered.
With a deafening BOOM, his body shot upward like a flash of blinding white light stretching for hundreds of meters, smashing through magma and stone as he surged toward the surface.
At that very moment, inside a secret base in Afghanistan—
Tony Stark, who had flown in from New York a day earlier, was sitting nervously, restless in his chair.
He said ten days. Why isn't he here yet? There's been no news this whole time… don't tell me I got stood up?
During those ten days in New York, Tony had used Jarvis to dig deep into Bai Ye's background—and finally understood what kind of man he was dealing with.
A young man raised in the underworld, molded by gangland logic and ruthlessness.
And now, because of Bai Ye, the entire internet was ablaze with what the media called a "witch hunt."
Of course, that didn't mean people were hunting Bai Ye.It meant Bai Ye had ordered Kingpin's men to hunt down anyone who dared attack or insult him—turning the entire world on its head.
The internet had gone silent about Bai Ye since then.Anyone who criticized him was quickly attacked by his fanatics—both online and offline.
The terrifying part?Bai Ye's "witch hunt" wasn't limited to America. From 10 Downing Street in the UK to the Vatican's cathedral, photos were surfacing everywhere of people who'd been "visited" and beaten.
Everyone knew Bai Ye was behind it.But no one could prove it.
The powerless couldn't fight him,and the powerful wouldn't.
At least, not until Bai Ye released his "Everyone Can Cultivate" v2.0 technique.Until then—even if he killed the U.S. President—those in power would still protect him.
"Unbelievable…" Tony muttered—but then the ground beneath his feet began to tremble.
What the hell—
The floor quivered violently, like an earthquake—a solid magnitude six by feel. The cup on his desk rattled, water sloshing inside, as cracks snaked across the concrete floor, racing up the walls.Dust rained from the ceiling as the entire base began to shudder.
Every soldier in the compound froze. Then alarms blared overhead, the shrill warning sirens echoing through the base.
And suddenly—the trembling stopped.
The earth fell silent again.
Just as Tony exhaled in relief, a calm voice spoke behind him:
"A century of internal energy. Not bad—you must've paid quite a bit for that."
"Wha—!" Tony spun around in shock.
Standing there, fully dressed again, was Bai Ye, staring at him with mild amusement.
"You always show up without making a sound?" Tony snapped.
"Sound?" Bai Ye raised an eyebrow. "I'd say you already heard plenty of noise just now."
"What noise—" Tony began, but then his eyes fell on the enormous crater beside Bai Ye.
He froze.
"Wait. That earthquake just now… that was you, wasn't it?"
"I didn't want to be late," Bai Ye said casually. "So I jumped a little faster."
He glanced at a wall clock that had fallen during the tremor."My timing was perfect. Not late at all—half a minute early, actually."
Tony grimaced."So it was you! Do you have any idea how dangerous that was?"
Two points make a line—and Afghanistan and the United States were on opposite sides of the planet.
This guy… had he really dug his way here straight through the Earth?!
"But I did slow down at the end," Bai Ye replied innocently."Otherwise, the entire building under your feet would've exploded."
